One of my old customers in a resin plant outside of Lufkin Texas always used that comparison, Harder than Woodpecker lips. I laughed out loud when you said that cause you are the only other person besides him that I have ever heard say that. I am going to call him tomorrow and tell him to watch this video. Great job as always guys!
Wow those rounds work very well. I'd be curious to see just how "hot" you could load them before they either fail from over pressure or start to fly weird. Well done Danny and Jeff !! Still making great videos guys nice work! Thanks to the guys at Gresham for making some cool rounds , I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
Hats off boys. That was good to see. We all thought nice but it won't hold up but we were all wrong. Danny can make anything fly straight enough. And peek out and say hi sometimes Jeff.
Even if they were solid molded, it's all in the matrix. The carbon fiber aspect of them has marginal meaning to anything. Beyond that, it's ultimately up to the strength of the bond between layers. In the end, I'm just here for Danny :)
He isn't doubting carbon fiber, as others have suggested. He's doubting the "-ish" part. It appears to be a 3d printed part, and most carbon fiber filaments contain small bits of carbon fiber distributed throughout, which basically eliminates the *fiber* benefit of carbon fiber - tensile strength. I'm now curious which printer they used, as there are a few that do actually inlay carbon fiber in the print. These printers do actually get the benefit of true carbon fiber, though they are quite expensive.
Someone suggested a playlist for submissions that went through the lead plate and I think that’s a great idea. Also, there are a lot of people that would appreciate a playlist for every submission that was 3D printed too.
Great video guys 👍 nice to see. You brought out your expert marksman for this trial it is a shame the rounds were disappointing but it's great to see you shooting again Danny great video Jeff
Super cool slug, wonderful adaptive test! The lead plate hit is gorgeous - glad Jeff opted to supercharge it! Shear joy, as always, to see your videos!
I've been here 4 a while and I've never heard the "we mach them". First I heard it then I saw it written and realized the true meaning. Great pun.. very appropriate for the channel!
I was out buying orings for PCP activities and saw when this went live. I was driving unfortunately. I'll catch it next time. Always love a notification for a new TFM and crew video.
Outta have lead shot in em. If the target is missed, the lead stays together and likely sealed away, if it hits, then no worry about stray shot throughout the range. They could call it it the LeadPecker
It would be interesting to see if they could use a bolt or nail as the center weight and surround it with that material. You could probably get a more consistent weight that could also punch through harder objects a bit more. Great video 👌
This is what we do with our PCP rifles. Experimenting with different velocities for a certain weight slug. Have to be cautious of over powering them as sometimes they'll corkscrew. I don't think you'd see it at the ranges you shoot at but at 80-100 years and 900-950 fps you can see it. They also show it in the way they print on paper. It's a lot of tedium but I can shoot a dime at 50 yards nearly every shot and the work is worth the reward.
I can only wish that more mach propelling channels become monetized as people realize we do this for fun, sports, and hunting, not to commit crimes as some people would like you to believe.
Jeff, I am with Danny on this, for wholly different reasons. It's because I love watching your videos so much. Though the shorter videos are great, I prefer Taofledermaus videos with a longer runtime; therefore, anyone interested in sending projectiles to the Taofledermaus crew for testing should send a minimum of 10 identical projectiles. If the sender needs different weights or projectile types tested, please send 8 of each weight/type. This way, we the viewers get longer videos and senders get more complete data sets so that they can make the needed alterations to their projectiles. Everyone Wins!
Funny you mention the YT revenue, one of the airgun channels I watch got demon-itized recently. We think because he was shooting his Hatsan Blitz in full auto mode into blocks of gel. But that's just a guess because YT can't bother to tell him the video and why!
Two of the channels I follow were COMPLETELY demonetized this past week. My newest video was monetized, then DEmonetized then monetized then DEmonetized again. I had to ask for a manual review and finally it’s permanently monetized again. Not sure what the hell is going on down at YT.
Great video as always, wonderful knowledge gained with ballistics and aerodynamics. Great design and material choices. Great work to everyone involved :)
Haven’t seen a recommendation for your channel in months. Sorry about that, guys. Glad u popped back up. I still provide a whopping $1 per month, proudly, haha.

"Woodpecker lips". Well done Danny :)
Yeah thats a new one for me ..Good job All 👍
The woodpecker lips and left California windeg really saved this vedio 😂😂
they basically ARE woodpeckers lips if you think about it
Thanks. Hope it didn't make spit out your adult beverage 😂. 🇺🇸😎
Took a second or two, and I still coughed on my coffee!
Geez Danny, warn us when you're gonna say those things! Hahahaha!
I'd enjoy seeing this revisited with consistent projectile and charge weights.
The concept appears worthy of this next step.
"Give it some of that California windage..."
Me: 'You mean Kentu...."
"Aim for the left..."
I'm dead 😂🤣
Welcome back Danny! Glad to have you shoot again.
Thanks Scott 🙂. 🇺🇸😎
Comment for the algorithm. Side note: would like a playlist for those contestants that manage to get through the lead plate.
@@MinnesnowdanSniper Indeed it would.
Seconded for the playlist.
I don't even think they need a whole playlist, they could make a video montage of the slugs that passed the lead plate test
Yeah, I'd like that, as well.
Yes that would be cool!
Glad to hear things are going better for the channel. You're all amazing and your hard work is appreciated.
Thank you so much!
Launch Director ... I've been reading it as Lunch Director.
I guess it's time to find my glasses.
At least to read the menu .This young Man has resiliency next there will be a magazine suitable for a smorgasbord .projectiles that are edible.!

It's always great to see Danny and hear the magnificent commentary.

fiberglass is specificially used in its function to withstand such damage. it wont happen lol.. why think so
they make mortars out of the stuff
I still can't believe he's gone, RIP Danny love from OZ
Glad to see Triker behind the trigger.
The slug shot through the water jug with no deformation, even subsonic, very impressive.
Hats off boys. That was good to see. We all thought nice but it won't hold up but we were all wrong. Danny can make anything fly straight enough. And peek out and say hi sometimes Jeff.
I just don´t know what it is but this just never get´s old! Keep up the good work. Great to see the launch director! Greetings from Sweden!
Thank you very much!
Danny can make anything work.

"Harder than woodpecker lips" Informative and hilarious, thank you Danny and Jeff.

My pleasure 😉. 🇺🇸😎

Always great to see Danny, the man, the myth, the legend! Keep on truckin’ brother!
Carbon fiber always flies to the right guys. C'mon, everyone knows this. Follow the science!
lol
If they would have strapped the target down better it would have flown straighter.
@@RustyorBroken If they strapped it down, they'd hit the strap.
The only reason Danny missed those shot is because he didn't flip his hair like Brianna before he shot.
the science says there is over 95% survival rate.
This was an interesting video, you shouldn't have doubted the carbon fiber.
Carbon fiber is to fibers as titanium is to steel.

Glad Danny's still kicking
Great video Mouse Wildman Danny and Officer Greg wherever OG the fluffster is at. Glad to see Danny out now more. Be safe and GOD BLESS y’all Amen 🙏
Hey Randle 👋🏻. I feel Blessed to be here 👍🏻. 🇺🇸😎
Shoulda strapped the targets down.
Exactly!! And they need to move the target back further. At that short range the bullet hasn't even achieved max velocity yet.
Whoa! Yous guyz is smarrt. 😀
I really like the variety of things you guys test. Honestly I think bullet makers should be watching you for ideas...
