- As part of the original demo version of Unreal Tournament, one of the only maps available was DM-Morpheus, a low-gravity battleground atop futuristic skyscrapers so tall that they extend into Low Earth orbit. This music is the soundtrack for DM-Morpheus, as well as several other maps featured in this video. Can you name all the maps seen here? Leave your answer in the comments!

It really is unbelievable, the first thought that crossed my mind once music started playing was "I gotta get to the minigun!" And that after a quarter of a century has passed. Man, conditioning was/is real.
I have similar thoughts, but it IS a life or death situation!

This map... when I first played UT99 when I was 12 or so, I used to play Morpheus exclusively for a year or so before I tried the others out. This track is etched on the inside of my skull from countless hours spent micro-G sailing over head, laying down a barrage of 8 balls. I love the heavier bass in this version, kicks it up a notch! I'm glad you're back VMR!
Thanks, glad you like the bass bump. This map is probably 80% of my deathmatch time with UT so I had a similar experience.

Oh yes. The release schedule at the moment is two major releases per month, usually every other Sunday, plus random short videos sprinkled in between. Frag on my whitest dude in the 877.

As a kid, I spent so much time alone on DM-Morpheus jumping up and down the lift. That echo guitar riff UNNNNNNGG

i remember i managed to trigger something on this map that had the platforms shoot out 100s of rockets, plasma shock rifle balls and frag shells
i tried for so many hours to trigger it again and nothing on it online
all the music from this game just has some very raw energy to it that could only be created with limited sound quality, even though i barely ever got to play it as a kid it feels like its nostalgia from a past life, its just so extra. very happy that these potent tunes arent going unnoticed in modern time
this game had soul, i watched interview where one of the developers broke down crying simply because he was so proud of having been part of creating it
I never heard of that trigger, that'd be cool if it was some sort of undiscovered easter egg. It's one of my favorite games and it's nice to see people getting to appreciate it without the bias of "nostalgia goggles"
Explosive ammo mutator. Possibly combined with explosive weapons. If you want to laugh, combine explosive weapons with the instagib mutator. This will essentially cause any player dying to take out his killer and possibly the rest of the map.
@@iconbeauty-piraeus hmmmm, i think there was some pickups placed around the map when i had that thing happen but all the platforms fired different ammunition into the skies at the same time and i was standing at the top
Probably because each one has different weapons and ammo on top. Might as well try it.

Holy cow, when I heard the music again after countless years, I immediately got goosebumps. The map was absolutely amazing and the online battles in combination with the music were just absolutely world class. Back then, it was a carefree time, just gaming and enjoying. I miss that time! 😢
Great times. DM-Morpheus was the first UT map I played and it remained my favorite to this day.

90s style electronic music can sound very ravey yeah. JC in there is an old custom skin for UT that looks good, I enjoy fighting JC Denton.
"Save Me God" ...I like interchanging the opening bit with the normal 'Save Me' to create a mixture :D

That's the "field of view" setting. A higher number gives you a wider view, smaller number is a more narrow view. Try typing this into the in-game console: fov 115

how do you get 60 FPS?
I have an Nvidia card and you can force video settings for any game in the main Nvidia control panel. I forced 60 fps for UT because that's my target frame rate for the RUclips videos.
