Thanks for sharing your trip to PEI, great video! We discovered Camping des Voltigeurs 2 years ago on our trip down east, and now its a must-stop when driving through La Belle Provence! It was nice to see your footage of Voyageur in the sunshine, although someday, you must stay on the 401 and visit the Parks of the St. Lawrence. So much to see and do along with all the history of the seaway. We love following your adventures and appreciate all your tips. Until next year ...
Thanks for watching. So many people have told us about the Parks of the St Lawrence but we haven't been to any of them yet. They are definitely on our to-do list.
This looked like a great deal of fun folks I really must tour these areas you went to thoughlly enjoyed your trip thank's for taking us along with you so appreciated .
Hey Cheryl & Ben! Love your videos. Husband & I are buying a trailer and will be hitting the road in spring. Have you ever tried any of those gadgets that repel mosquitoes and flies? The electronic ones are intriguing to me but hate to waste the money if they don’t work. What about the little stickers - have you tried those? Thanks for all the great info you provide- keep it up!
It's an exciting time getting a trailer and hitting the road. Lots of adventures ahead. As far as those mosquito repelling gadgets go, we've looked into them a little bit but have never actually used any. We have some friends that swear by them though. I'm kinda cheap (Ben) and I don't like the idea of having to continually buy consumables such as CO2 cartridges and the repelling pads on top of the price of the gadget. All we do is try to work our camping around the worst time and locations for biting bugs and if necessary where bug repellant. We try to do southern parks in May & June, like the Lake Erie Parks to avoid the black flies and mosquitoes. We generally stay in the southern part of the province until August when we'll go near north and north. August, September, October camping is the best as there are much fewer bugs. Happy camping!
You guys pretty much did our trip and all the sights as well, great to see from someone else perspective. We found the best fish tacos on the island where you guys stopped in east point. On the way home we stopped at Sugarbush in NB and Mont Tremblant QC for our last leg. We are deciding to either do Newfoundland or the Superior circle tour next year. What about you guys ?
We too have talked about Newfoundland and doing the Jake Superior circle tour. The issue is financial. P.E.I. cost us $2000 just in gas. Newfoundland is a lot further. Similar reason for Superior. We don't know when we will be doing those trips.
There's only so much shopping one can do and I reached my limit several days earlier. Cheryl, Jamie and Kelly don't seem to have a limit. Often when they shopped I wandered around looking at other things and recording video of the area.
LOL, when deciding what video clips to include in the video I knew I had to include your set up because there would be a good chance you'd be watching the video. If people don't pay attention they might think it's our set up since it looks so similar.
Always love your videos! We're planning a PEI trip this September and have a couple of questions. How many days did you stay at the 3 PEI provincial parks? You didn't mention anything about the National Parks, did you visit them?
We stayed at Cedar Dunes for 3 nights. We originally planned on staying there for 7 nights but shortened it because we felt it was a little out of the way. We then did Cabot Beach for 4 nights and Brudenell for 7 nights. In part 2 of our 3 video series we visited PEI National Park, Greenwich Dunes but we didn't camp there. It was an amazing trip. We hope you enjoy your trip.
What a amazing trip and great footage of everything you’s visited. I’m in the process of making a Anne of Green- Gables quilt so this was pretty cool to watch😍
It's too bad that we didn't show more Anne of Green Gables stuff. We just don't know anything about it. It's everywhere there. Good luck with the quilt.
Really enjoyed that. Nice camera and drone work. Next time you may want to visit Fundy National Park NB and stop to see the giant flower pots at Hopewell Cape along the way. Cheers 🍻
@@UwaDiercks we knew we would be doing a lot of day trips in PEI and thought it would be to difficult to bring our dog so he stayed home with our daughter.
I see you took autoroute 20 through Quebec. We went that way eastbound to Tadoussac, northeast of Quebec City and it was rough as heck. Came back via autoroute 40 and it was much better. I used to truck through Quebec for 20 years and the roads were terrible in general, but the scenery was incredible. A trip around the Gaspe peninsula would be terrific, or a trip around Lake Superior as well. Great series of videos. Your editing skills have really impressed
We found that autoroute 20 was in great shape. We've been on much worse roads elsewhere. Much of the route looked like it was repaved within the last couple of years.
Great video guy's. You're looking at the wrong ferry site, you need to check the Northumberland Ferry site. Truck and trailer, over 40 ft. is $138. Still about double what the bridge is but a nice ride and shortens the trip if you're going to Halifax.
Oh, ok, I see it now. I was looking at the Northumberland Ferry site but for the ferry from St. John Nova Scotia to Caribou New Brunswick. Much better looking at the correct ferry where it's $138. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm going to pin a correction at the top so that people see it.
Republique is one of my favourite stops. Cafe Flora in the Botanical Garden is an excellent restaurant. Your ferry estimates were a little high. I’ve taken the Woods island ferry with my trailer and the cost was about double the bridge toll.
We didn't really notice any wind issues. We were warned about the poor shape of the roads but found that they were generally in pretty good shape. Much better than our travels through the US.
I love your friend’s pretend videos! She’s so fun lol
Thanks. I'll let her know you think so.
Winner winner chicken dinner
Love you guys and all the videos you put out can't wait for summer 2024 to see your line up
Thanks for watching!

Amazing video! Looks like so much to explore. How was the drink from Anne of Green Gables?
It wasn't too bad. It's basically just raspberry soda. No alcohol content. It was better than we expected.
Quite the sigh, introducing the farmers market. Perhaps Ben isn't a fan😂😂

@@CampingwiththeColes I hear ya, my limit on shopping is probably only an hour before I run away
Awesome coverage of your PEI trip. You packed a lot in! Thanks for including a shot of our site at Voyageur PP. Was fun to see!

Jane, watch the three part series of this adventure quite entertaining. Note no dog maybe they are not allowed?😊

I see my mistake now. You're correct its $138. I was quoting the price from New Brunswick to Nova Scotia. Thanks for pointing that out.
How did you find the drive out there and back? I have heard the highways heading out east can be windy especially when towing a trailer.
We didn't really notice any wind issues. We were warned about the poor shape of the roads but found that they were generally in pretty good shape. Much better than our travels through the US.
Was that Fiona tree damage seen on the horse ride?
Yes. That damage was everywhere and Fiona happened a year earlier.
