In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 2.3m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first million with a liquid 200k.handed it to a trader here in CA, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Google will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.

So, VOO 25%, QQQM 25%, VGT 25%, SCHD 13%, DGRO 12%. This is my long term portfolio in M1 Finance that I’ll invest $10K a month into for the next 30 years in a compound interest calculator through investing 10k per month for 30 years, this projects to be $35.6 million.

I’ve noticed Elon uses lots of analogies to help explain concepts - in this case the two things being compared (FSD /elevator) make it an inaccurate comparison- one involves automation of a simple on/off switch but the other requires automation of a an extremely complex and unpredictable set of tasks. But yes Elon is right that once people are accustomed to FSD and if it’s perfected they won’t think twice by it’s operation

After experiencing FSD for most of this month, I can honestly say that it handles virtually all ‘normal’ situations on the road safely. However, to work as a robotaxi it will also have to handle situations that it absolutely cannot yet handle since it can’t read signs. Mostly these are situations where the ‘rules’ are variable based on specific criteria (school zones with a lower speed limit during school hours on school days, No Left Turn or No Turn On Red during certain hours, temporary lower speed limit in construction zones - even if construction activity is not apparent, etc), and other situations where reading signage is required, like entering gated parking lots, retirement communities, campuses etc where one gate is for residents, students, employees, etc, and another is for visitors who have to interact with some kind of security person.) These things are extremely common where I live, and if acrobatic doesn’t know what to do when it approaches these gates it won’t be useful for, say, students or senior citizens who would otherwise be prime candidates to use robotaxis. Parking lots, in general, are a problem. I might pay 99/month for FSD if I didn’t have to keep my hands on the wheel - taking manual control in these specific situations wouldn’t bother me too much. But driverless operation is a different story. We don’t even know how FSD performs on snow covered roads. I wouldn’t be so optimistic about driverless Robotaxis being terribly popular until cases like these (and probably many others) are solved.

FSD is trained based on what humans do in all situations, variable or not. It will detect patterns that show different behaviours at different times. It will come to pass the establishments that set up gates will eventually have to adjust to automated vehicles rather than the other way around or there will eventually be some kind of prescribed signage for certain situations.

Austin has been under construction for 4 years now and nowhere near running at capacity which has obviously burned a big hole in profitability of the company all along the way. Mexico is supposed to be even bigger. It would seem to make sense to build large manufacturing centres in a modular manner, like Shanghai did, to allow initial production to get underway quickly in a smaller facility and then add capacity as the market requires later.

Currently the same car has different levels of production optimization depending on which factory they’re being produced at.

Latest news ( copied from CNBC web page ) about TESLA Auto pilot: Federal authorities say a “critical safety gap” in Tesla’s Autopilot system contributed to at least 467 collisions, 13 resulting in fatalities.
The findings come from a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration analysis of 956 crashes in which Tesla Autopilot was thought to have been in use.
Tesla’s Autopilot design has “led to foreseeable misuse and avoidable crashes,” the NHTSA report said.

You asked about missing info from the call. Not a word about insurance. One of the reasons that I have avoided buying a Tesla is California insurance. If FSD is safer than a human driving in many/most/all cases then maybe guarantee no rate hike if accident occurs while FSD is engaged. Even more than that Tesla insurance needs to be more affordable. How does insurance work for robo taxi or ride hailing? Just seems like insurance should have been a HUGE part of the report.

    TESnology era,
I'd like to know more about the infrastructure being setup for the CyberCab, these vehicles will need charging and maintenance.
Will the CyberCab charging stations be fully autonomous wireless charging, or Optimus bots charging and cleaning these?
Will these charging stations be an available service offered to FSD owners in the CyberCab services program?
    Will the charging stations also
be offered to FSD owners not in the CyberCab program, offering automated charging, sanitation, automated car wash, tire pressure check etc.?
As this service not only is required for the CyberCab infrastructure, which then only becomes operational costs for CyberCab, but if offered to FSD CyberCab owners, as well as to FSD non CyberCab owners, it becomes a profitable infrastructure. This would also address charging station infrastructure, and also offer an alternative charging option to consumers that don't want home charging installed or for some other reason can't have the system installed.
Is also like to get thoughts on if Optimus will be Grok ready, or I'd there later models being planted to will incorporate an Optimus that can have conventional skills for in home PCA or companion humanoid robots.
Are there plans to incorporate Grok with Tesla automotive vehicles, really pushing us closer to the futuristic "JohnnyCab" or "Kit car" of Hollywood.

One way to think of the Model 2 "versus" robotaxi issue is that one of these categories is getting overpopulated with high quality competition (small EVs) and the other is completely unique to Tesla (rapidly improving neural net based driving anywhere).
So, sad as it is to say goodbye to the auto business, it makes sense now. Elon achieved his dream of proving EVs could work and starting the EV revolution.
Autopilot will never be perfect, but if it can open up enough of a gap of superior safety performance to be undeniable in statistics... game over. Then it will be leased to whoever pays for it. At that point Tesla gets "software margins" as Elon put it once. Elon is being rational about where the opportunities are...now, not ten years ago.

I am 1160 Tesla stocks since 2020. I lost so much profit in 2022 and recent 4 months I actually went negative investment. Ridiculous drop from 107% profit at one point. So I invest steadily every month against my wife’s opinion. Incredibly, today’s 12% pop brought me back to net break-even; but zero profit.
I need to know how to get rid of the short sellers killing Tesla!

was Mexico delayed because of ambitions in India? There were infos cruising around that Berlin factory makes Y‘s for India under the Modi import tax ruling. If that‘s true, than Tesla has to invest money into India within the next three years.

I think the Mexico leaders got up Elons/Teslas nose with media releases that were not approved or verified before the release. Delayed until When the new model lines in Austin are working then i think they will move fwd with Mexico assuming the demand is warranted.

Tesla vertically integrated manufacturing to reduce cost. They vertically integrated the software to build an autonomous car (put the auto in automobile!).
Stop thinking of Tesla as a car company. It will become the first global taxi company. Everyone will have the Tesla app on their phone. Tesla OS will become the Windows of the transportation world.
Every car, bus and truck is a computer on wheels today. They have dozens of processors and millions of lines of code. Tesla has built the transportation platform of the future. They are NOT going to build every vehicle, but every vehicle is going to run Tesla software.
When the first auto company (Ford maybe?) signs a deal, that will be when Tesla stock will take off. It will not stop until it is the largest market cap the world has seen (Elon said bigger that Amazon and Aramco combined?).
Tesla is a software company, and they are just getting started. Their focus going forward is not building cars, it is integrating their software into every vehicle made.

  • @patrickspader4062

Herbert u have misinterpreted both the conference call and the shareholder deck with regards to new models. The compact 25K that was planned for mid 2025 release will be accelerated and brought forward to the end of 2024 or early 2025. That is in black and white, plain English in the shareholder deck - it’s not just updated refreshed existing models (Y/S/X/3) that will be introduced using existing production lines , although that may happen also. Secondly still can’t understand your enthusiasm with FSD because it’s based solely on Elons confidence rather than any of your own personal expertise in AI or the tech involved - people without such expertise can only assess FSD based on what Tesla has produced so far and the progress with V12 demonstrates that it’s nowhere near ready but yet Elon is telling everyone how great it is and that they should drive it!!!! Your confidence is based on Elons confidence and history has proved that confidence to be misplaced.
Your analysis overlooked something HUGE - Optimus - we have been given a date for it being released and used. It always seemed like common sense to me that it would be easier to get a robot to do a useful task in a controlled environment than it is to get AI to drive a car in an uncontrolled setting on roads. For that reason I have stated in my comments on this channel previously that Optimus would b executed before FSD and Elon has given us a date for It , used in Tesla factories this year and sold to others next year. Sorry Herbert I like ur channel and your presentation/demeanour but ur analysis is off the mark and I feel u are getting too carried away in the emotion excitement of FSD to be thinking objectively about it .

    • @kstaxman2
      @kstaxman2 Месяц назад

No it's you who don't see and understand how much version 12 changes things. This version is effectively a totally new program. Go back and look at what happened with alpha go. It went from being a basic go player to being able to beat the best go player in the world in a few weeks. Elons excitement isn't what he's using to feel FSD is taking off.

    • @patrickspader4062
      @patrickspader4062 Месяц назад

Are u upset with me because I stated the truth that neither occurred to you or Herbert???? Geez this really smart guy called Elon is really confident about FSD so I’m confident too - even though I know nothing about the tech and am not an AI engineer or qualified to understand the tech - if Elons is confident - I’m just gonna be confident because he is. Because Elon is never wrong. . Sorry that’s plain stupid reasoning - not saying u or herbert are stupid but the reasoning u adhere to IS. Secondly it’s very presumptuous of u to state what I do and don’t understand because frankly u know nothing about me. I have seen numerous FSD videos beta and supervised too many to count and in its current state FSD is nowhere near ready. Not saying FSD hasn’t made progress saying it’s nowhere near ready. It’s wise to think about what u say before u speak.
