Always did like the idea that 47 was just an upgraded version of the 46 it just made sense, not to mention the movie happens just a year later and Tony had pretty much perfect the 40 series at that point
@@obscuremcu I know some people have suggested that the Mark 46 was weaker than the Mark 45. I like to think that Tony made the 46 weaker on purpose in response the Sokovia Accords. That makes the Mark 47 what the previous suit was supposed to be, and it might've been hitting the limits of what Stark could do before Wakanda opened itself up to the world.
@@MMTrigger thats a great point! And it makes sense in-universe as well! Since the avengers were split, Tony would very likely make sure that his current suit was as powerful as possible
Always prefered this over mark 46 because its more unique with the silver and is a break from the basic red and gold, i am a fan of mark 42 a lot though mostly due to the gold beint more common than the red
Iron Man Mark 47 and Mark 46 are the same form but in different color. In Mark 46 armor it has red all over with gold details while Mark 47 has silver on the body and red details.
Fun Fact: The Iron man 2 concept series toyline has a figure that is presumably a repaint of mark 4 called Ultimate Armor that design must've inspired the MK 47 Armor we see in Homecoming yeah Iron man 2 did kind of foreshadowed that actually! 😊
I know exactly what you’re talking about! I used to collect those 3inch figures!! Its a big reason why I got so into iron man and the mcu! I loved those little holographic cards you could mix and match that came with them too 🤣
Hate to burst your bubllt... the mk 37 was made like that bc Sony did not have the budget to make a whole new iron man suit so the just recolered the same mk 46 model...
@@obscuremcuI think that’s a great idea because real world fun facts can be endless, goofy, and detract from the videos pacing. I really enjoy how these feel like aerospace informationals in a museum. It feels like a hall honouring Tony Stark post End Game.
honestly, i dont like the mk 50 . like how the helmet forms around his head. but my favourite is the mk 46 and mk 47. idk why ppl don't like mk 47, I actually like it a lot. and the paint too
yeah the red gold and silver is an underrated look for sure! I think it gets overlooked because it only had about 2 minuets of screen-time and is often forgotten
something I noticed in the comics armore are better labelled , for Exemple the Mark 3 should be labelled Mark 2 model 2 . the Mark 6 should be Mark 3 model 2 on so on . Minor armor of suit shouldn't be a new Mark but rather a model
Thats a really great way to label the suits!! So based on this numbering system, I assume mark 4 models 1-32 would be the iron legion, and mark 5 models 1-2 be the mark 42 & 43 and mark 6 models 1-4 be mark 46-49, etc
@@obscuremcu it’s like cars for exemple . The s197 mustang 05 09 , 10 12 , 13 14 . Is also known as gen V or Mk V . The following years are model 1 or phase 1 (05 09) model 2 (10 12 ) model 3 ( 13 14 ) then the new plateforme came s550 , gen VI or Mark VI .
I actually liked this one more than the Mark 46, the silver just makes the armor look more streamlined and thinner for some reason, I can’t put my finger on it. It looks better in my opinion.
I do feel like the silver colour just doesn't feel like Iron Man, given how it's kinda a recolour Mark 46 with newly added feature like the drones that he used and I don't know if the heater was ever implemented before 47.
I don't believe so. when tony started working on the 46 and onwards he began to develop ways to miniaturize the suit and have it expand on him so he can wear it constantly! first hinted at with the micro storage feature of the mark 46 on the helicopter, and ultimately what we see with the nano tech in infinity war and endgame. If he can wear it at all times there was no need for the prehensile functions! :)

yup, this armor is basically the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" in a nutshell lol

This felt like a rescue/cityhelp suit rather than a weaponized one, still powerful though
I know what you mean!
I Really like the mark 46 or mark 42
So, the nanotech in the black panther suit and the 50 onwards was a collaboration between Stark and Shuri. Kinda makes sense.
This Mark is fantastic

Yeah that’s something both those suits have in common! Not as much red as we are normally used to but still have the traditional iron man look 🔥
It looks very similar to Ultimate counterpart

@@obscuremcu Indeed I did have a cousin who have it I dunno which mark figure he got but yeah I know
one of my favorite designs
the mark 45 is my favourite one
I feel like mark 47 was just the repaired 46 but not fully painted

I actually remember reading something about that a while ago, but I want to keep these videos based within the context of the movies/canon

That would make sense as gold is very expensive, explaining why the mk 47 had a lack of gold, and mainly silver.
@@officerjohns9554he's literally a multi-billionare, no amount of paint of gold would be too expensive to give
mark 42
Mark 47, mark 5 and the mark 3

Ahh I see! This completely changed the way I view the suits numbering system 🤣 thanks for the detailed clarification :)

Fair assessment! Its definitely not your traditional suit thats for sure
My top 5 suits are
Number 5 Mark 50
Number 4 Mark 7
Number 3 Mark 46
Number 2 Mark 43
Number 1 Mark 45
I also like Mark 6, 42 and 85
All excellent choices🔥
i have a question is this suit and the mark 47 prehensile like the suits before such as the 42, 43 and 45
