That does make since it feels like the suit isn't packing as much heat as the other armors but that could just be a design like you said Quantity over Quality I guess it looks cool.but while he got a good few hits in cap and bucky took him down despite the other armors being able to fight off aliens
@@MarvelNowProduction Honestly, even the Mark 6 or 7 would have been too much for Cap and Bucky to handle. Hell, the Mark 3 hot hit by a tank the first time it went on a mission, fell from miles in the sky right on the ground, and Tony was almost unharmed. Then he got up and destroyed the tank. Just that level of durability would have been enough. Cap's shield is durable, sure, but it can't do damage on its own, it needs the user's strength. And despite how strong Steve is (and oh boy, is he strong), he most likely doesn't hit as hard as a tank followed by crashing into the ground.
The thing is, the retractable helmet is first shown in Iron Man 2 from Ivon Vanko. So I was wondering, why didn’t he implement it earlier? But tbh, it’s fine rily
I know right!? I was always curious about why it took so long to implement. But I think tony wanted to incorporate the retractable plating for the entire suit not just the helmet as seen with the mark 7, 42, 43, etc!
The high 40s were my favorite suits, from hulk buster to mark 46 I believe was the one that popped out the helicopter cigarette lighter haha. Just seemed more rugged than the nanotech suits. Can hear when the face shield comes down it sounds more of a clunk than a tin can dropping. Plus it basically kicked the crap out of two supersoldiers just tony wasn't trying to hurt or kill Steve which allowed cap and bucky to eventually disable it. If Tony wasn't holding back there would of been no cap or bucky which Bucky is one of my favorite characters so glad he didn't.
I know what you mean! The high 40s/ pre nano tech suits were the perfect mix of classic armors from phase 1 with the sleeker modern designs for his later suits! Its one of the reasons the mark 45 is my personal favourite! And yeah I’m glad tony held back 🤣
My favorite MCU Iron Man suits are the mk 3 and the mk 7. The mark 3 is the original main archetype for his suits and visually the one i like the best. The mark 7 has all the updated features he was working on between these two generations. I like how the wrist lasers were added using the power of the suit and not a one off and the new enhanced rear thrusters for flight.
Both great choices! The reason you gave for the mark 3 is why I personally love the mark 4! though they're really similar, there's something about the sleeker yet bulky look of the mark 4 which I'm a huge fan of!
@obscuremcu interesting. I don't recall what the Mark 4 even looks like. I feel the mark 5 is what I think about with Iron Man 2 and then of course the Mark 6.
@@planetdee3587 yeah the mark 4 is definitely overlooked in regards to his other phase 1 suits (for fair reasons) but something about the mark 4 is just so awesome to me, Its the first suit that comes to mind when I think of iron man! Its like the perfect adaptation of what a real-life suit would look like, if that makes sense 😅
@@PhantomViper49 That would be the mark 7! The mark 4 is the one used in iron man 2 at the beginning of the movie, during his birthday party fight, and when he sat inside the giant doughnut
Not the biggest fan of Mark 46. It seemed more of a step down in power. With how smart Tony is in Civil War you would think he would have developed countermeasures. I mean he did for the Hulk. It's not like all of them were superpowered, most of them were just people with skills. Only Scarlet Witch had actual powers. Hell, that sonic blast from the wristwatch amplified with all those arc reactors in his Mark 46 suit could have sent a sonic blast that could have neutralize them. I understand if he was holding back because he didn't want to serious hurt them, but I'm going to say it again, sonic blast. It's non-lethal.
yeah, the mark 46 is definitely a step down, especially when comparing it to the mark 45. My head-canon for the downgrade of the mark 46 was that since tony technically wasn't an active member of the avengers at that point in time, his focus was on finding new methods/advancements in his armor, like the retractable helmet and micro storage tech (helicopter suit up scene) so he used this suit to incorporate these new technologies while also implementing more versatile and non-lethal functions in the suit like the nets, wrist and ankle binders, fire suppression systems, etc., resulting in a much weaker and less weaponized armor as a result!
@@obscuremcu a fair point. But at the time of Civil War the threat of Thanos still loomed. I still don't know why Tony retired from being an active Avenger. I would understand if he did that once the threat of Thanos had concluded. I know it's a Captain America film and film makers wanted to conclude his trilogy, but Tony didn't seem worried of the bigger threat. Yes, I understand Tony's need to improve his Iron Man suits with each new version, but the Mark 46 almost appears to be an upgraded version of the Legion drone's arsenal. The nets, wrist and ankle binders, fire suppression systems, that versatility seems more for a Post Thanos world rather than fighting Thanos face to face.
@@gilfer28 i disagree. the mark 46 is a worthy successor to the mark 45 simply due to the suit being powered by multiple arc reactors throughout the suit body. in theory, this would allow tony to engage in fights for much longer periods of time and the ability to use more lethal or stronger forms of lasers, repulsors, and beam attacks.
@@_Yombo right, i saw that file and the suit was reconfigured to align with the sokovian accords. however, this "non-combative suit" mark 46 suit still carries lasers, missiles, repulsors, and the staple uni-beam. nothing about the armor really depicts a truly non-combative suit albeit the cuffing restraints and sonic blasts that doesn't seem as lethal. the mark 42 represented more of the non-combative suit since it only has repulsors and none of the firepower you would get from other iron man suits.
I think tony build this armor specifically for law enforcement just by looking at the armament
Thats a very good point, a lot of the features of this suit have to do with restraining people rather than just fighting them
That does make since it feels like the suit isn't packing as much heat as the other armors but that could just be a design like you said Quantity over Quality I guess it looks cool.but while he got a good few hits in cap and bucky took him down despite the other armors being able to fight off aliens

1:21 most badass moment of Friday...i instantly became an admirer of the AI , and 1:38 level ease when he throws off Steve with one hand
I love how you use the soundtrack of the movie the topic originates from in every video, creates an extra sense of Emerson!
Thats exactly what I’m going for 😅 thank you!
The suit is also based off the Bleeding Edge Armor from the comics.
Good point! Would you say the mark 50 is too?
@@obscuremcu Yeah
Mark 50 is kind of the bleeding edge in itself
Mark 50/85 too since their nanotech is more similar to whats shown in comics

My favorite Ironman suit on the MCU…and him kicking Captain’s butt is always great…
I think after his 46 broke down he called in maybe his 45 or an older suit over to fly out of there.
