AFT helped me get $4818 this last week @ $7.97 per mile. For the month they have provided dispatch support where I have driven 8021 miles, grossed $23,002 at $2.87 per mile. Thanks to Andy, an amazing partner. Special thanks to V, who has his pulse on the market conditions each week. Thank you so much for the letting come on the show to share tips with everyone!

Nice hustle but man those reefers ended in the east coast
Definitely going to be a struggle to say the least getting out of there.

Interesting that you brought this up. You are correct. The guys will surely figure it out, not our first rodeo. We just talked about this in today's Live show.

The problem is drivers all want to park at the same time. In most of the country at 9 AM, 11 AM, or even 3 PM you can pick your spot.

On paper logs, if on a known route, operators could stop for food at a resturaunt. It stretched your day yes but a driver could avoid rush hour traffic.
We would stop at different times.
Parking was tight then however you could find parking after 9 - 12 midnight. Urban areas excluded.
It was less stressful then because a driver could listen to their body clock and work with cross country runs.
Now with e logs zero flexibility.
Ive had to avoid three incidents in one drive cycle. Left me along with 100 other trucks tringbto get into a travel center that was full...
My customer was 20 miles away. Under paper logs as long as we didnt go any further than we planned it was aok.
Not so with e logs, that rule didnt transfer....
Reduce taxes on full service travel centers in good standing and use eminent domain to provide ample parking etc.
    To many nimby neighborhoods.
    Make it happen.

The cost per parking spot is a massive rip off, the money is being diverted somehow.

I think so too. Just doesn't make sense.

Get rid of elog and they wont be a parking problem anymore. The elog got every trucker to shut down about the same time creating a parking nightmare.

It’s those damn hours of service. Some nights where I couldn’t sleep and had tons of energy I could have easily driven for a couple of more hours smh. It’s crazy to have to wait for the clock to hit exactly 10 hours to get your time back

Planning ahead will save you so much grief. I literally never have a problem getting a place to park ever. Stop being a 9 to 5 trucker like an overwhelming majority of truckers. If you are doing the same thing as everyone else you are going to have the same problems as everyone else.

Without a doubt if everyone calls it a day at the same time then there will never be enough parking. The issue is more in scheduling, not everyone in the spot market can have a consistent start and stop times that repeat daily on end. I think this may be part of the problem.

Hours of service + specific appointment times make this difficult. If I could I would drive purely only at night because there is 0 traffic. Other than that I’m usually up at 3 AM. Sometimes at 1AM to get going. Way better that way

Amen to planning ahead. Paper logs or electronic, following the law hasn’t changed. Running the same hours as everyone else, 9 to 5 will get you in the same parking problem. The same if you fill up and stop at all the places major carriers fuel cards are good at. I always stop at the crazy places major carriers are NOT at. Especially if I am on the east coast. Plan my hours so I stop at the shipper or receiver as well. Keeps me out of the parking problem areas. Do like the old statement says and you won’t have an issue, “prior planning prevents piss poor performance”.

As always typical bla bla bla at the beginning and must be skipped to 0:50

Yeah it's really rough when everyone else on RUclips just jumps right into the topic without an intro. Yeah that's the way to go about it. Just jump right in. No intros. Perfect!
