You are right. It does need to take your laid out trip unless it know of conditions like accident/construction etc. Another great job! My biggest problem I can figure out is with speed when I have AutoSpeed enabled in certain areas and disengage is the only way to slow down. 45/48 in a 30 speed limit. I can tap pedal to speed it up but not back it down.
Yeah please keep brining in an objective opinion and just showing the raw reality of the system as it sits. It'll be interesting to see your 12.3.5 videos. I'll be watching for sure!
I had a rough morning, 4 disengagement. 2 because it wouldn't change lanes and was weaving back and forth like a damn fool. the other two were for vehicles blocking the lane and the line of cars behind me starting to get over (I didn't want to wait 45 seconds for all the cars to clear before the car could get over because it hesitated too much initially)
@heythave actually the lane changes were required ones (one to get in to right turn lane, one to exit the highway) chill mode wouldn't have effected those
I think the disengagement was because it was to slow switching to the highway stack as I've noted before. It was driving on city streets until 4:19, which by then it was already being bullied out of the lane change. I wonder what the car uses to determine it needs to switch, might be map data.
I have to say... As a new driver myself I feel like I have been driving quite similarly like the system does. I might have taken the wrong exit here and there as well 😅
Oh absolutely. I hope my criticisms don’t too heavily overshadow how damn good it really is. I’m like the overbearing father or something but this FSD is fantastic and far beyond anything else I’ve seen myself.
As a person who lives in a city that has carpool lanes, have you had any issues with left exits? I have 2 on my route home and it tries to take the exit route instead of continuing on the main lane.
I actually haven’t had to take any yet but hope I do. Might need to go looking for it. I know it’ll weirdly leave and re-enter carpool lanes in strange or unnecessary ways quite often lol.
I see you also had the GPS failure that kept in a wrong lane, it happened to mine, I also driving Uber part time, i failed today at the downtown route, and upset the customer, sorry that i am not familiar this route, 12.3.4 and I both failed this time. Looking for new update can fix the issue
I’m glad others can more closely relate to the issue I’m describing here. Yeah it’ll definitely get better. Fortunately I haven’t had a customer really notice or complain but I’m always on the edge of my seat to prevent that lol.
@cybrlft May I ask you this hypothetical question? If you could pick only one thing, would you pick to 1. Use the current stage of fsd 12.3.4 (with no ability to update the software) or 2. Live your life without having it as an assistant?
I agree, it doesn’t always think ahead for exits and turns and then reroutes.

Yeah that’s a good point. I’ve had one or two times where it started to do this and I was just thinking “whoa easy there buddy”
You got to 10k subscribers! Congratulations. You deserve it.
Thank you!
A test engineer’s job is to find failure and not praise success! Great job Kaz.
I appreciate that!
Agree with your stance. Thx!

Thank you I absolutely will!
Appreciate the uploads 🙌🏼
100% with you on this Kaz...
Happy to hear that it makes sense to folks.

Change to chill mode.

Yeah I agree with you again here. I really hope to see that highway end to end. I think this issue goes away.
love your videos, been following you for a long time!~ have you tried simply say "welcome to robotaxi" when customer move in?
I haven’t haha not a bad suggestion! I need to remember these things to try out ha.
Thanks for the suggestion and support. It’s appreciated.
@@CYBRLFT keep 'em coming! ur vids are my daily vitamin!
Why is no coustmer uses the Mittel armrest at the back? Maybe you should pull that think out permanently. Way more comfy imo😇
Thanks!
Thank you my friend.
@@CYBRLFT Always my brother! Btw, didn’t mention before but you have a special gift for interacting with people ❤️

That’s understandable. I’ve made my mistakes too for sure 😆
Tesla FSD will get better because of your meticulous feedback. However it's 10x better than Mercedes so called level 3 capability...😂

Don't think she understood self driving. Great vid.
Very possible lol. Some seem to fail to actually see what it’s doing and understand it as more than a party trick 😮💨
tesla need an escape and evasion mode
That truck was Trolling you.:)

Where was this ride from? Saw a lot of new buildings coming up
This was the fashion valley mall to downtown San Diego. There’s been a lot of construction for sure.

FSD and Route planner needs to shake hands and make friends. 🤔
💯 and when this happens the level of competency will skyrocket
tl;dr 2:47
