I decided to just sink my teeth into learning trains and I really wish I didn't lmao. I really cba to do all that. This one change would completely revolutionize the game.
Since I'm careful to stick to the world grid at least vertically I don't have that problem. However it's still a great inspiration and since your last video I'm a big fan ❤️ Your builds have the surprisingly rare combination of beauty and functionality and your tutorial videos on roads and foundation alignment are just brilliant. Not to mention the intros on your let's play xD It's about time your channel goes up into the five or six digits!
@@relyengaming You do you man. People will keep watching your content even if new stuff is released infrequently, as long as you enjoy doing what you do.
For the last height fix you showed, you can also use the slimmest ramps on those edges to make it even less obvious. It helps to disguise those smaller steps
Great help!! Sometimes I slide the road barrier across the vertical pillar to fix minor height adjustment issues. Also having major U shape or L shape curve having a width of 2 or more foundations that is not only just turning but also at the same time goes up or down to connect the random pathways for vehicles across the world is a bit stressful.
Yea, great point, the road barrier on a pillar is a useful method as well! As for the 2 width roads. I tend to favor using a combination of flat turns and straight ramps for simplicity. The results end up being great on/off ramps and such. But if I'm up to put in the work, doing the curved ramp versions work great. But they are so much work :P
Reylen I thank you so very much for this video. You fixed my save right there. I heard that little squeaky voice say start a new save. Thank god I saved this in my Satisfactory reference library for this very occasion. This worked beautifully in 1.0. Thanks so much brother.🍻
Lol Glad to hear it. I knew I've run into problems like these over the years and certainly heard that voice many times. I'm so glad that original grid merge solution I came up with lead to other great solutions like this one. It's great being free of the grid prison, isn't it?
Hah, I never noticed that. Wonder if that description is new, but definitely wrong. You can can easily tell if you just place it up next to a 1m foundation that it definitely is not 0.5m :P
Hey there, thanks a lot for that video, really helpful, like the rest of your videos aswell :) I don't know how much time you spent to find these tips but really thank you and thanks for sharing them with us. Keep up the good work ;)
I recently discovered that you can place a big pillar then use a wall to go any height you want. from the wall place foundations you have a much simpler way to place foundation at any height
Why the hell does this game have to be so damn complicated 😭😭 I don't mind trying to set up a computer factory, but what I DO MIND is making the factory itself. The rest is just logistics and fun-fun satisfaction. But building... Building sucks and I hate it with my whole soul.
The thing is, you don't have to the fancy buildings. There is nothing wrong with laying out a big platform and doing all your factory work in a flat space. You should play the game the way it is fun for you. Don't force yourself to do something you don't enjoy. I certainly enjoy doing a bit of minimalism when I can :)
I'm just going to quote Sgt. Hartman from "Full Metal Jacket"
"Holy Jesus...."
Love that movie, can hear the quote in my head.
I can't wait for the day they give us foundation splines
One day sir, one day... :)
I decided to just sink my teeth into learning trains and I really wish I didn't lmao. I really cba to do all that. This one change would completely revolutionize the game.
You've done it again. God tier tips and so elegantly explained
Thanks Void! I appreciate it.

I appreciate it Mannpeter. I just need to make better use of my time and it might happen one day. Thank you!

Well said, I think you make a good point. If it isn’t fun, it’s just work then.
For the last height fix you showed, you can also use the slimmest ramps on those edges to make it even less obvious. It helps to disguise those smaller steps
Hey! Great idea!
Finally! A fix for vertical alignment. Nice job. Definitely bookmarking this one.
Thank you sir. Glad it’s helpful!
Maybe we need vertical world grid that shows us current height we are at. Then you know if two sides will match up.
Yes, and maybe just being able to enter the height manually whenever a correction is needed.
I set one tile and all other on the map are off that grid no exceptions. no matter where I go if I want to join things up they fit perfect.

Nice, guessing method 2 with the little bumps could actually be a quick way to get custom stairs
That's a really good idea, I'll have to try that.
Love the quick straightforward style of these videos, I’m nowhere near setting up trains yet but I’ll be saving these tips for later!
Man, beams are the best building tool. And now you can nudge the foundation hologram around after aligning to them, beautiful.
A huge thanks!still after 1 year your video helped me to solve a problem i had for soo many time.I haven't been more happy to subscribe a channel
I was so surprised when you said the Frame Floor is 40 cm, the game lied to me, it says "Size: 8 m x 0.5 m". I just checked to make sure but it is!
Hah, I never noticed that. Wonder if that description is new, but definitely wrong. You can can easily tell if you just place it up next to a 1m foundation that it definitely is not 0.5m :P
awesome tipps and easy to understand, thanks man

Thank you very much Guy, I appreciate it and am glad you found it useful :)
this science is amazing.
Awesome! TYVM!
Your videos are always awesome.
Thanks Tree, glad some folks find them useful :)

Good tip! 👍
You just melted my tiny braincell. Great tips thank you. Even if it is a year ago :)
Awesome! Thanks for the video!
Thanks! Glad you found it useful!
This is awesome and pretty much solves the biggest question I had with how to fix this, besides just clipping a 1m ramp somewhere innocuous lol
How do you figure this stuff out?
Sometimes through many hours, but mostly through dumb luck 😜
Thank you!
like clockwork, exactly when i needed it
Glad to hear it Ikelos!
Thanks, that'll be helpful. I used to just grab from the high end and take it until I could bury it in the world
Very Useful I Think This Will Come In Handy!!
Thanks Edd, I'm sure we'll find ways to torture each other in playthroughs :P
And they said magic didn't exist.
Thats genius!!
Appreciated this is, at a time when appreciation is needed so I appreciated by providing appreciation :P
Your appreciation is greatly appreciated by myself appreciating the many appreciations you provided in this appreciative post.
A lot of work for something that should be in the game.
now that 1.0 is out, i just make sure all my structures are connected to the world grid, solves all the issues :D
Yea that is one solution. Although, now that these kinds of solutions exist. You don’t necessarily have to be a prisoner to the grid 😜
Man this game can be a major headache sometimes...
Factory OCD 😜
another great video. my 1.0 play through is all the better for it
Oh hello, its a video!
I know! It's crazy right? My availability is getting a little better :P
I never world grid my foundations. Am i gonna regret that? 😅
Not anymore 😁
Nice
this is gr8. paying for a game that cant snap and allign automatically is stupid, ...ffs even tetris did it in the 70's
My simple solution is to ignore it lol
Tis a fair solution!
I don't know why, but it's really distracting hearing you say "heighth" instead of "height" sometimes 😊
🤭
