Maybe in August check out Berwyn/LaVergne station. It's on the racetrack, and Metra's Zone B trains stop there. The rest of them, as well as the Amtraks blow through at around 70 mph. The entrance to BNSF's Clyde yard (CHC) is next door, and CN's overpass is right there. It's a quiet zone, but sometimes you'll get a horn when the head-end of one passes the rear of another at a crossing.
