Since i have patellofemoral pain in the medial side under the knee cap while running, therefor should I tape it to the opposite direction of way you did , ie to the lateral or outer direction of knee??? Plz reply
Good question, & whilst we don’t know the exact mechanism, it is thought to help stimulate the surrounding nerves and NOT altering the position of the kneecap
Uuuum nope it actually doesn’t if you do it correctly. Studies on this taping shows it DOESN’T change the knee cap position, but provides some sensory information to the brain 🧠
Is this also for knee pain on the right side of the right knee?
That could be the ITB so best get a diagnosis there!

You should be fine to tape in the same direction as we shower in the video
Thanks! Is this for if you have knee pain on the upper side, above the meniscus?
No this is more for kneecap pain
Arnt you going to tell us what degree of tension the tape needs to be to be effective?!
Level of tension will differ from person to person so test and see!
If i tape my knee will ir reduce the pain or whats its use
That’s the aim! Works for some but not others, so worth a try!
will this work as protection also?
If you’ve had knee cap pain, it MAY help to prevent it recurring, but if you haven’t had knee cap pain before I probably wouldn’t bother
Does it works for shin pain?
No just for knee pain this one
Whats the tape called? I def need this considering im in 5 sports 😂
You can use lots of different tapes: kinesiotape or rigid strapping tape
@@healthhighperformancecan i ise simple homeuse tap ?
Why how it works

It is work for runing 2km
It may, give it a try and see!
Where can I buy it from?
You can use either strapping tape or stretchy Kinesiotape which you should be able to get from the pharmacy
It'll cause more tension and pressure on knee
