    I've never used Substance Painter, but you make it look fun (and easy with the simple UV Smart map). Thanks for taking time to make these videos... they are vastly helpful and inspiring.

    Wow... I always hated the UV unwrapping part... Really ruined the whole process for me. I was searching for a way to skip it. I knew about substance but didn't understand it completely. You basically answered all of my questions in this video.

      Blenders`s auto UV unwrap struggles with unwrapping a lot of polyps without stacking some of the UV`s on top of each other. There of the artifacts. If you decimate the model in blender before UV unwrapping you might lose some details but I find that the UV unwrap cause a lot less artifacts. Great videos btw!!!

    I came from Cinema 4D to Blender a month ago. And I'm so excited about this. Now it looks like it's time to dive into Substance Painter!

    using the base color as a subsurface map with 0 saturation is genius omg. but it is very specific tho. because chalice is black and it will not show up in the map (mostly) but what if it was red?
