Which Kenpachi Zaraki moment is your favourite in Bleach? Is it one of his famous one-shot takedowns, or something else? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Number 5 is my favorite because at the time I thought the fight was over Kenpachi was ending it there and the pose was perfect,Kenny was holding the soul society on his back until it cut back to the fight I really lost hope after Kenpachi and Yama lost it was over for everyone
Number 4 Kenpachi finally letting loose and seeing the true manifestation of his soul being a demonic warrior screaming that wild war cry with a crooked grin sends chills down my spine. it’s so raw and true to who he is.
My favorite Kenpachi moment is an indirect one where it's revealed in ch.520 pg.17, that Central 46 banned Zaraki from learning a simple sword style, fearing that not even Yama's power would be able to stop him.
What's funny about the honarable mention is that Yachiru tries talking to him, and he tells her to be "Quiet" and then tries to talk to his zanpakuto, who is quiet. The irony is not lost on me
@felipez3115 Yachiru was his Zanpakuto spirit always by his side, but he never took it/her seriously. After the Unohana fight he finally was ready to listen.
@@Rizingfz08 Nah yachiru is his zanpakuto spirit. Its just that shes always manifested. Plus when his zanpakuto speaks to him at the end of the unohana fight it almost sounds like a more mature form of yachiru.(Might be a stretch from me tho)
I do think you missed a crucial one. The moment he grabs Tozen by the arm after having deduced how to counter Susumishi's Bankai, the sheer terror he inspired in Kaname's heart, I believe is the first true showing of how much of a monster this man truly is.
Would have been my comment as well. Letting tosen stab him so he knows where he is, is psychotic and brilliant at the same time. You have to remember, he LET the blade cut him, to gain that information.
Honestly Tomo we’re all great full for all the bleach content your giving us right now especially when it’s a real drought in terms of official bleach anything Appreciate everything you’ve done for the community
I just realized the ironic poetry of Zaraki dancing around asking his blade to tell him its name and when Yachiru tries to talk to him he tells her to shut up. Not that I think Yachiru knew anything at that point, but it's bittersweet in retrospect.
You guys, I know Yachiru is his sword. The context of the chapter has her retelling in her own memory her rukongai origins 'as a soul'. It's not clear cut implied she exactly knows whats her own deal at that point.
I agree with your list overall, but one thing I think you missed is when Kenpachi fought Tosen in the Soul Society arc. The way Kenpachi got stabbed by Tosen in order to find him in his sensory deprivation bankai truly showcased his standing relative to the other captains.
12:54- after the Stern Ritter had proven to be nigh-unstoppable- with even the starters like Quilge being difficult to put down with ease and another doing the first true "good guy" causality, it all seemed hopeless till Zaraki manages to beat three with ease....which goes on to show how much more of a threat Yhwach indirectly is by his copied subordinate defeating him.
Kenpachi cutting Giriko down was one of the most grimly hilarious epic fail moments in the series with regards to Giriko. Still, another quiet moment of contemplation for Zaraki happens in CFYOW when Tokinada reveals his plan to Shunsui and his ad hoc alliance. Kenpachi is disgusted with it especially when Tokinada rants about destroying hope in human beliefs by showing how unequal and dangerous the afterlife is.
Remember, when Kenpachi first fought Ichigo during the soul society arc, that was his weakest form. Crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if his overall power by the end of the series is equal to or greater than Yamamoto.
I would argue kenpachi is the strongest true shinigami in a sense. Only outclassed by the captain of squad 0 (i forget his name atm). Without the buffs squad 0 got wen they got to their post from the soul king (i believe they were buffed) kenpachi is probably the strongest one if we exclude primordial shinigami
Kenpachi will always and forever be the biggest badass in all of bleach, there is something so satisfying about a a nigh unstoppable monster that actively nerfs himself in combat while beating his opponents not through tricks or deception but through pure strength and unshakable will on top of being charismatic as hell. Love this man forever, wish I could have a drink with him 🥂
I wonder why Kubo never decided to have a Zaraki and Aizen moment together. It also makes me wonder why Aizen didn’t do anything about Zaraki given the fact that he’s one of Soul Society’s biggest assets.
i agree but i think *some* argument could be made that might not go so well aizen given what happened with tosen's bankai, although it's obvious that kyoka suigetsu is better in literally every way than tosens bankai
Aizen's zanpakuto ability worked on ywach, pretty sure kenpachi wouldn't be able to find him to land a strike unless aizen stabbed him and he caught him like yama did
I think it's stated by Kubo that Aizen feared Kenpachi's potential at any given moment This is why he left Espada 0, Yammy, to deal with Kenpachi as a means to keep him busy Aizen was already dealing with Ichigo and Yamamoto, he didn't want to add a 3rd unpredictability of say "Kenpachi doesn't subconsciously hold back anymore because he loved his fight with Aizen" before the Hogyoku activates. Yeah, it's best to keep Kenpachi busy with the strongest Espada instead.
Because he doesn't cut a Galaxy and the TYBW Episode 19 proved it whatever Gremmy did is portrayed to be *inside* the Quincy Shadow dimension in the TYBW Anime Episode Episode 20 at 19:25 and last time i checked that place was the same size Sereitei wich isn't the size of a galaxy ... @@furiousdestroyah9999
*Best moment* When Kenpachi's head-on collision with Ichigo and it shows Ichigo's spiritual energy forms into his Hollow mask and Kenpachi's spiritual energy forms into a skeleton head💀 I'm not sure but I think Kenpachi does this again in one of his later battles.....
I like the idea that Kenpachi is originally from hell and was released to equalize the balance of all the people who went to hell after first war with quincies
While Kenny's fight with Gremmy was only 1 episode in the anime, few things still match the hype and awe of Nozirashis reveal. The purest definition of Hype
I would put that moment with Ichigo's hands bleeding a bit higher, that had my jaw on the floor the first time I saw it in the anime, it sets up so much worldbuilding in the moment and a lot of stuff later Also it still cracks me up how his Shikai is exactly what we expected it to look like
I would have left the Tesla split in half scene and instead mention more of Gerald split in half moment during his bankai! Or the gruesome biting of Gerald's arm moment. Maybe also mentioning that his base form was able to stop a colossal stomp then proceed to topple down an enhanced Gerald to protect Hitsugaya was way cool too..
To me the eye patch reveal vs Ichigo will always be the stand out moment, #1. It sets him on the grand stage, going from a powerful villain to an actual, insurmountable threat in that moment. No shikai/bankai, just a guy with a sword (at half power) was downright impossible to defeat at that time. And when the eye patch came off, it was suddenly clear that Kenpachi had sooooo much more potential. He was already firmly placed within the story as the "Hulk" of Bleach. But to realise that he could still go so much further beyond made my hair stand on end with anticipation.
Maybe the hell arc would some how give us it but it would be a dope side plot if at the end Kenny wants a last fight with ichigo but he asks him to use his full potential Vasto Lorde form vs The demon Kenny bankai unleashed would be tight af
Besides the reveal of his shikai and then his bankai I think my favorite moment is when he uses two hands to beat the 5th espada. I was kinda surprised you said the community didn't like it because that moment was always so hype for me
My favorite character in the entire series. It's always a a privilege to see him in all kinds of scenarios, especially during fights. xD Please Kubo-sensei, make him even better in the Hell arc. We miss your drawings and writing. xD
I'm completely flabbergasted that you didn't include his fight with Tosen and Kamamura during the soul society arc. When he found Tosen is the dark was super badass, and one of the best moments during that arc. And no mention of the Unohana show down? Not even honorable mention? 😮
I feel like the 1st encounter and setup of Kenpachi was just pure perfection. Just that moment Ichigo Ganju and Hanato wnet up those stairs and that wave of reiatsu completly overwhelmed them. Its definitly the fight that got me hooked.
Hopefully we'll see the Shikai form of the Nozarashī Zanpakuto spirit in the anime during the part where he activates his bankai along with the name of that bankai.
I get why you didn't include fillers or movies, but the one where Zaraki moved an entire fortress with just his raitsu or the one where he appears from inside a building when the zanpaktou's were fighting the shinigami was so badass
Something to think about with Kenpachi. With his monstrous reiatsu, think of how many Hollows must've been drawn to him and attacked District 80 when he lived there. District 80 is already the poorest district and most prone to Hollow attacks. When Kenpachi left District 80 and joined Gotei 13, I imagine that must've reduced Hollows' attraction to District 80. By becoming a bloodthirsty Shinigami who loves fighting, Kenpachi saved more poor souls than the rest of Gotei 13 combined!
What I like best about the meteor part is Gremmy can't understand how it was possible, he can understand how much power Kenpachi has, but he can't comprehend how it can be contained in his form, which is important because Gremmy's whole thing is his imagination and being able to make whatever he can imagine, so for him to be unable to imagine how it is possible for kenpachi to contain his power says a lot.
I would have probably fit in somewhere in there Zaraki's first introduction to us and the characters when his reiatsu is crushing Anataro and when Ichigo feels as though he has been pierced by Zaraki's sword.
You mentioned that Nozarashi immediately shrinks down after it cuts the meteor, but what if Nozarashi's true shikai power is that it grows to the size of whatever Kenpachi wants to cut? No tricks, no strength amplification. It just grows to the whatever size Kenpachi needs it to be to cut whatever he wants with his own full strength? (Obviously within the limits of what Kenpachi can swing)
I enjoyed #8 as to me it was comical and a nice finish to an otherwise dull fight. Another moment I've always liked particularly in the English dub is in his fight against Kaname Tosen. After becoming frustrated by not getting to enjoy his fight within Tosen's bankai he imagines his subordinates making suggestions. The delivery of his line in response to Yumichika "you'd die" is hilarious.
One instance that always stuck with me was how in his fight with ichigo he literally did not care about his injuries, and he did things i didnt think were possible. He literally took a slash to face just to land a hit. When his stab was blocked by ichigo he said, thats cool but no, and stabbed him through his fucking sword anyway. Really shows that traditional rules of fighting do not work with him.
Crazy how "IT'S NOT WORTHY ICHIGO" isn’t even on hounrable mentions shows how crazy kenpachi is that the moment that i always think about when to omeskenpachi isn't even on the list
One important moment is missing. Kenpachi facing Tosen and Komamura. Before that we know that captains are at different level, but at that scene we see how Kenpachi is above your average captain. He faces two captains and completely and utterly outclass them.
Kenpachi taking on Kaname Tosen; getting caught in his Bankai, getting repeatedly slashed, figuring out how to combat the effect, catching Tosen and having the absolute confidence to let him go, and he still won the fight. How did that not make Top Ten?
He's tough but if he was the toughest and always wanted the best fight..he would have challenged Yama. He knew better tho so he can't be the biggest badass when he bows his head to the old man
Yes, that's true. While the Kenpachi seems to be brash and rude he is actually quite sensible. The stupid brute reputation he has is not justified or at least not defining.
Don’t remember where but I remember a time when people were raving about kenpachi “cutting galaxies out of boredom” or some hype what did that even come from
19:41 ever think that was completely on purpose for the meteor? A shinigami can change the size of their zanpakuto or else they would be wielding skyscraper anyway so...
If you grew with the series the Noitora part made a bit more sense. It felt like we were on the journey with him. Asking when and how will he get stronger.
Actually I think you missed 1 and that is showing what type of demons kinpachi are and that moment is when both komamora and tusen hits him with there shikais and he says that both hits aren't enough to make him wake up while there was swords in his body man that's just amazing
My favorite Kenpachi moment is when he, more emotionally, opens up his dynamic with Unohana as she dies in his arms. Tho it makes sense it didnt make the list cuz its not a "badass" moment for badass list
Your video are always so much for n for me to listen too but I’ve had a what if sort of, but I’ve wondered If Ichigo died would he have to go through academy, as well as if he would become a Captain at some point and if so what squad do you think he would end up joining/ heading
@mrtommo2304 At the beginning of the series, it is mentioned that zaraki's sword is chipped and damaged because he lacks a connection with his zanpakuto. After learning nozarashi's name, shouldn't his base form sworld look better?
I don't think Zaraki has ever dodged an attack, whether he got damaged or not. I like that about the character, he never backs down even at risk to himself.
Another dimension of Kenpachi shown by the Nnoitra fight. He defeats the 5th Espada by, get this, swinging his sword with both hands. Later on, Ichigo can't kill the 4th Espada (only one rank higher) without getting killed, becoming a Vasto Lorde and n00king Ulquiorra. It shows just how much more powerful Kenpachi is than even Ichigo!
Funny enough: Kenpachi reveals just before shattering Ichigo's fake Zangetsu that he's not missing an eye. He tells Ichigo he wears the eyepatch and bells to make battle more enjoyable. An eyepatch on a missing eye or on an eye that can't see would have no effect on battle, so there you go.
Kenpachi has been my favorite character since his initial reveal fight with ichigo. So much so that one night a drunken me almost legally changed my name to zaraki kenpachi....thank God common sense somehow kicked in
For me, it is all those times he _accidentally_ breaks people's composure. Tousen. Noitora. Gremmy. Their minds break facing him, before their bodies and power did. Only Yammi and Komamuru manage to keep their composure. Ichigo is the only one that manages to gain his composure mid combat.

Kubo is such a genius. foreshadowing the true nature of Kenny & "Yachiru"'s relationship all the way back then

Yes, that's true. While the Kenpachi seems to be brash and rude he is actually quite sensible.
The stupid brute reputation he has is not justified or at least not defining.
The bells zaraki use to wear was so cool, sucks he don't use them anymore
The green tassel is call back to those three monsters when yachiru use zanpakto
Don’t remember where but I remember a time when people were raving about kenpachi “cutting galaxies out of boredom” or some hype what did that even come from
19:41 ever think that was completely on purpose for the meteor? A shinigami can change the size of their zanpakuto or else they would be wielding skyscraper anyway so...
So basically. you can sum up kenpachi and yachiru bond like stark and lilynette.
One piece crossover, Kaido VS Kenpachi with Banki. Who wins?
Kenpachi vs Tosen No. 1 for me
Kenpachi VS tosen is also goated ❤❤
Mr Tommo powerscaling video when?
I am a simple man. I see Kenpachi, I click like.
@mrtommo2304
At the beginning of the series, it is mentioned that zaraki's sword is chipped and damaged because he lacks a connection with his zanpakuto.
I loved when Kenpachi did this, especially because this singular moment scaled Bleach way above Naruto. Classic moves
Would have liked to see the Tosen fight on here
Funny enough: Kenpachi reveals just before shattering Ichigo's fake Zangetsu that he's not missing an eye.
He tells Ichigo he wears the eyepatch and bells to make battle more enjoyable.
An eyepatch on a missing eye or on an eye that can't see would have no effect on battle, so there you go.
Love the vid not my fav character but he is in the top five
Its still so disturbing when others calls Zaraki as "kenpachi" like its his name but still, its just his rank, he is Zaraki, THE kenpachi :D
I like that one moment when he fights
PLEASE do mayuri next!
we need a video dedicated to the who loses the most aura
Kenpachi with 1 hand: just throwing around power and slashes.
Kendo Kenpachi: Power with more control
The anime did so much justice to the meteor cutting scene, it's the best
How so?
@@truthspreader1996 I just love them showing Kenpachi as a kid, just the excitement on his face, and the cut is animated amazingly
Zaraki vs Nnoitra is the most epic and nostalgic fight imo!
Kenpachi cut the void of space. Dude tried to imagine his strength and offed himself
