    A teacher told me this same thing. I think you definitely need to work hard to get where you want to be, but you need to be smart. You can’t just go out there working hard without being smart.

    Tai isn't necessarily stating that you shouldn't work hard at all, of course everyone needs to work hard at some point in time. What he is implying is to work smarter when you have the chance. By doing that you'll be able to cut some corners and save yourself time and energy while still getting ahead.

    Thinking is HARD WORK thats why so few people do it. -Henry Ford. My father always taught me to work hard, although he would always mention to me that its not hard work that counts for it can only take you so far. Thus he would mention Echale Ganas al estudio, all in all he meant, work hard but work smarter. Use Leverage, use the different rule of money to your advantage. Its an unfair advantage in some regards but the industrial Age has passed, the information age is now, use the tools such as internet to communicate and connect. Use Knowledge of others to Leverage yourself where you want to get to.

    "If I could go back in time, 100%, I would've told myself to be lazier."
    "Hard work is VERY un-correlated with wealth."
    This is profound stuff that flies IN THE FACE of conventional wisdom.
    Husle, Grind, #teamnosleep....
    I really enjoy this tangent you're pursuing with hard vs. smart work. It's excellent. People NEED this. Entrepreneurs NEED this.
    It reminds me of Kiyosaki's ESBI Cash Flow Quadrant.
    The E's, (Employed), the S's (Self-Employed), and the B's (Business Owners) tend to never know how to get off of hamster wheel.
    You said it; the TOP 10 (it's 8, but eh... details) richest men are worth more than HALF the population combined.
    Incredible. The reason ...?
    They're at the top of the quadrant. INVESTORS.
    This category is where the magic is; where the money's made.
    It's where the leverage from SMART and not HARD work comes in.
    You can bet, most in the grouping of those 3.5 billion people work much harder than those top 8 do.
    Incredible stuff Tai; your ways of communicating value succinctly abound.
    Evan

    What I concluded from this idea was that don't work hard 'physically' but rather work hard with your 'mind' which is smart work. For example Tai gave example of Warren Buffet, he works hard (in Tai's terms smarter) but not physically but by rather mentally e.g. his voracious reading habits.

  • @theemissuniverse1200

    I think you will get maximum benefits by alternating both working hard and smart. Just like we have 4 seasons a year I think there are seasons in life that call for working hard and some that call for working smart. Just doing one of either wont get you very far (imo). Tai, reflect back to the times when you did work hard and think how that work you did is beneficial to what you do now. I think you will see it all ties in together! I always think of the movie Karate Kid when Daniel was learning seemingly mundane and repetitive tasks that he felt was useless to learning Karate. Then one day he flipped out and Mr. Miyagi told him "paint the fence" motions etc and he saw how the repetition of those tasks trained him indirectly.

    In order to work smart, you have to put in the hard work before you make an investment, business, and life choices. If you just think smart without any work to your decision in anything in life you are just gambling opportunity. Instead of taking full advantage of the opportunity. "Working Smart + No hardwork = Gambling opertunity ",,,,, "Working Smart+ Working Hard = Using
    Full Opertunity "

    Tai, I beg to differ on your- 'work smarter, not harder' theory... You have been blessed or have mastered a critical skill, that I believe is key to anyone's financial success; a type of manipulating people. Of course, the way you go about it is in a positive way [you have traits of, honor, humbleness, and genuine concern for humanity]. I loved your example, of the garbage sorters in India: The person whom these poor individuals are working for, is using a [negative] type of people manipulation, to accumulate success. That being said, does at least one of these ten million garbage slaves realize that he or she could sort through the valuables for themselves, and capitalize completely as an individual business entity...??? I mean, you are so good at public speaking, that you don't even need to be historically accurate (names, dates, places), when giving examples from history about technology, and tools; because of how good you are at conveying a point through example, getting the message a across..

    a counter argument to this is that all people are trying to maximize profits with given resources available. If technology is available to everyone then the people who leverage that good the most will come out on top, therefore the ones who work smarter and harder will surely come out on top? if everyone is seeking competitive advantage and technology is a constant in that all modern people have it, then competitive advantage must come from another input, and that input could be the other variable input which is time. i don't believe this nessesarily but it could be an argument against this theory.

    Speaking of working smarter .. you read my post with my spine rehab link. In our society we fail our top athletes. We deem stretching on a board on the wall dangerous and weird channeling pressure out and refuse to study it... yet we promote deadly surgeries where we cut open people's spines and put screws and metal hardware .. especially for scoliosis .. which I solved!! It's this .. don't fix it naturally yourself .. pay others to do it and do it wrong. Tai.. these guys train there whole lives to be pro and love the dream .. yet they retire early with chronic pain the rest of there lives. This is the world 🌎 and it takes real guys like me to not follow the herd and stand up for the truth!💪🏽

    • @max_greene
      @max_greene 7 лет назад

      Trust.. look at basic common sense stuff that was deemed wrong in the past.. even smoking was ok for pregnant women. And this was when we had space travel .. but you can see ignorance all around even in our technological evolved society.

    • @max_greene
      @max_greene 7 лет назад

      Yah I basically saved your life. Let's say down the road you get back spasms like I did. You lift big ass tires. That compresses your discs. It's a cumulative wear that builds up over time because spine is s shock absorber but it wears down. I'm curious to see the long term effects. Already my vision is improved my five senses. I guess it's the piece of mind that no matter what I can fix any tendinitis. Again with pro athletes they often manage a chronic back pain using every method but mine and they get to a point where it's surgery or nothing. Prevention is key. If you work on those stretches daily and stay healthy your discs will not deteriorate to that extreme level. It's a blessing. I figured it out on my own just trying out stretches out of pure desperation
