They felt that they wanted to progress their music. This album was obviously directed at the scandinavian market mainly since its swedish and has gotten the best reviews of any of their albums here in Sweden.

"En vano forzaré, doblaré la vieja reja Inexorablemente dura No se romperá, no quiere resquebrajarse Pues en mi llevo forjada esa reja Y hasta que yo no sea destruido No será destruida la reja" G. Fröding
It´s an interpretation of a poem by one of the most beloved Swedish poets - Gustaf Fröding. The poem is called "En sångarsaga". It means in english "A Singer´s Fairytale". Mando Diao has made several recordings in Swedish. Search for "mando diao fröding".
I know they're from Sweden, but it so weird to hear them sing Swedish. Especially considering that I don't understand a bit. But the song is awesome anyway :-)
Mando Diao måste ha funnit inspiration i Alan Parsons Projects låt "The turn of a friendly card".
I don´t understand anything. But when the music tells you something, in this cases... it´s the important. I´ll invent the lyrics to sing it. Any quick lessons to learn swedish in one mounth?
don't worry it's only for this album and maybe the next album will be in english otherwise you can always try to learn swedish I learnd english in 3rd grade
I like the new Songs, but what happened to them? The old style was so awesome and this is like soft Pop music Ô.o And i think that the people who don't understand swedish (like me) feel a bit strange..
This whole album they used lyrics from poems from one of Sweden's most famous poets from the 1800s (Gustaf Fröding) and made music out of it. Would be strange if they made punk out of it. This style is so worthy and made these very old poems come to life again.
Det går direkt in i hjärtat.

Sencillamente hermoso . LOVE IT. Un fuerte abrazo desde Gijón, Spain.
English translation (kinda):
I saw a sleepers
Raised chin
The black beard
laid young and weak
at the silver lining
of the shirts collar
around an countenance
proud and pale
i saw a singers
melancholy forehead
the dark hair
in holy descent
the manly swarming
sad lip
that maybe sang in
king alberts hall
I saw his death gloomy
eyes open
to find someone
he never found
he sealed them again
and in the same moment
the vision glimpsed
in the air disappeard
But for a long time
Mellow melodic
His thoughts spoke
the dark language
his bearly burning
Singers tale
From some Welsh
or anglish town
Have i not loved some one
one that was sweet and kind
did i sleep and did i dream
did i lay against womens knees
mean while the dark red sun
set behind the oaks away
She gave me an brides night
praised at the star light
over us swing gloomey
the crowns branch over branch
wind was in willow and bay
it beat between bulrush and stone
Everything she gave her man
Golden kingdom vouge
Mean while she stroke my head
Mildly my hair she twist
Gave me my soul for my sake
She broke her holy oath
For a long time we drank
eyes by tears are wet
or with
response mode ridicule
Love through good and bad
Love in sin and joy
Love in desire and crime
Did i just hear, that the monks
voice in my ear said
life is good to see too
loves chin is red
now have your beloved one gone white
now osviva is dead
now shall osviva sleep
for long time in slumber cool
the rest and the dream and the death
all was her own choise
Never she never regret
she walks to the heavens hall
Monk, that is song and legends
Monk, thats the witches tale
That when the final fall
shed its last leafes
shall a liberator walk
through the valley of death
by then the years whiz
over my soul still
Then the day has come
Soon will the battle stand
Then the liberators ghost
strong will go through the world
Like sea in swell
when that wind comes
as waves in wandering
the hum went forth
by the idea of today
in the night of Hades
recondite and secret
and wondersome
but again it sank
in the deapth of the dark
where my dreams
my thoughts swam
and again it rised up
and came back
and visions i had
and words i perceived
and over the face
it fell
a glimpse of clearer
lights than before
but still weak as
a moone shines flicker
from lifes night
through the gates of death
This song is a gift to relight our blood our heart and our soul...
Nydelig.

Inexorablemente dura
No se romperá, no quiere resquebrajarse
Pues en mi llevo forjada esa reja
Y hasta que yo no sea destruido
No será destruida la reja"

Ett genidrag!
Jag älskar sverige. Fuckin awesome.
Woe.... ist das schön!
underbar
They have made songs of poems made by Gustaf Fröding. I hope someone have translated this stuff and im sure if you search you will find.
wonderful
Come move here to Dalarna Nina ! You will love it for real! :-)
Hatten av

Tiger!! Manso...
"Honey" .... I Missed you.
They did not write the lyrics, they did put music on poems made by the famous Swedish poet Gustaf Fröding.
That'd be very nice, yes :)
Vad heter sexiga sångaren?
Could someone translate the text rough times?
