Tip 2: accent ceiling. I'm doing this! Tip 3: baseboard molding. I'm doing this! Tip 5: accent with painter's tape. I'm doing this! Tip 7: large diy art. I'm doing this! Tip 10: swap out light fixtures. I'm doing this maybe with a diy!! This video was great having all great ideas in one place. I saved the video to work on these projects before 2025.
The moulding tip is perfect for my living room! My current baseboards are built into the wall without plaster behind them. I tried removing a part of it a while ago and realized it wasn’t going to be an easy project. Stacking trim will definitely elevate the basic baseboards

You can also add baseboard trim a couple of inches above instead of directly on top of the original baseboard. Then paint everything, old and new baseboard and vacant space the same color.

A budget friendly tip I use is sheer curtains on the windows. The soft, diffused light makes a space seem restful and private, while still being bright and airy. They also distract the eye from a less-than-lovely view. I always hang them near the ceiling, and barely touching the floor.

Just making sure your colors work with each other (complementary, monochrome, etc.), finding your style, and most of all finding things that are unique/thrifted/antique/homemade all go a LONG way to making a space feel thoughtful and curated and not just "big box".
We just added wall molding to our living/dining room. It completely changed and upgraded the look. We had just also upgraded our ceiling and table lamps. We used a lot of painters tape but no stripes here!
I love, love, love the slanted stripes in the breakfast nook!! Everything you do adds so much to the spaces that you design. I just wish that I lived closer to the LA area-y’all seem to have some amazing Facebook Marketplace items!!

For home done art I am always on the look- out for canvas art in second hand stores. Then I just paint over it. I have been able to do 3 different pieces this year and it saves so much money. Also Michael’s has canvas pieces and if you get their coupons you can get them for a fair price.

Loved when you did your hall doors red. That light up your whole upper floor. Love the color bands in your guest room(?) near the ceiling. The painted ceiling makes the room look claustrophobic, definitely detracts from the beauty of the room. Love the striped walls in the breakfast nook❤

I love your style. Changing curtains and pillows and rugs makes a major difference also. Going from cool to warm as long as you have a neutral toned wall color it can totally transform a room.

Great video. Great tips. As I have watched your channel I have seen you use these tips but it’s great to have them summed up this way. One tip you didn’t mention here is adding a headboard to the bed. Doesn’t have to cost a lot but makes a big impact. So many styling options. You can paint it, either be matching or contrast, paint or fabric. You can have it fit the size of the bed or play with dimensions and make it larger to even include side tables. Also LOVE seeing Winston making an appearance.❤
