We were in in it yesterday. Paint finish was blotchy. The toilet was right next to shower. If you weigh more than 150 pounds, your one leg will be in the shower 🤣 . We were surprised by the price for the fit and finish.
I don't look much different from yours to be honest. I like what Grand Design is doing with the cooperative with Chad and Tara from Changing lanes. It is a much better layout to be honest. I love the idea of the toy hauler as an artist that garage would make a great studio and office. But I don't own a truck and traveling solo I think I would prefer to be in a motorhome so I can leave if I need to. Probably never will need to, but I like that idea. I think Thor is the only one who makes a Motorhome toyhauler and even used it is more expensive than all the rest. There seems to be a premium on them.
I'm from England, and this is what I call Luxury Whow, we had an old 'H' reg campervan once with 2 dogs also I just loved the fact of going away, but give me the money, I would buy something like this. Thank you for showing us.......
It's a very nice RV but not 200k worth. I saw your tour of these trainers last year and I really liked them but I think I will stick with my original selection which is Grand Design. They have it hands down.!!!
Does Grand Design, or Alliance make any models with all wood cabinets and trim, not vinyl wrapped MDF? The furniture in the ones we have looked at blew away the others, as well.
Love the Grand Design Momentum 398MR, Has the 18' garage and half bathroom in the garage area. Four queen beds in the back plus the loft for the kiddos, and a king or queen in the nose for Nana and Papa. Empty weight is around 17,000 and loaded at 21,000. With 140 gallons of fresh water. Diffently a boondocking rig. Safe travels and roads Brian and Cindy, "xtreambydesign with passion"
Wish I had a toy hauler on my class A RV. I wouldn't need a storage unit for my other stuff and I'd save 125. A month. And yes I already down sized, some things you just can't get rid of.
Thanks for the view of this 5th wheel. I’m not really a fan of toy haulers, as I have no toys, but the big reason is the garage takes away so much of the living space. I prefer the larger living space, especially the front living room floor plans. There is a new toy hauler coming up from Grand Design which is a collaboration with Chad and Tara from changing lanes. That layout might be the best toy hauler coming to market. It looks like it’s going to be a premium unit that will likely have a price tag to match it. It’s at the Hershey show.
It's comical to read comments from folks with no need for a toy hauler bashing toy haulers. It's built for a purpose, and yes there are compromises. They are rolling out a 15 foot garage, according to their web site. That aside, we have looked at numerous VanLeigh units, and the quality control was quite variable, to be kind. But, even worse, the majority of the Tiffin Class A's we have toured, as recently as today, had mostly horrendous QC issues. Today we looked at the Allegro Bay Super C, and the cab literally looked like it was painted with a roller. Just ridiculous. Tiffin has gone off the rails.
Unsubscribing because I found more inclusive RV/Vanlife channels who are more realistic about where one is welcome vs where certain ones aren't. Being able to survive this country's, shall we say, less "melinated" and bigoted populace is just as important as being safe from those bipeds who want to steal, SA, or maim/kill. Stay safe and I hope this is used as a learning opportunity and not just dismissed. ✌🏽🖖🏽✊🏽

Newmar also makes a toyhauler motorhome, with a front diesel engine.

I still like our Alliance Valor 40v13 Floorplan much better.
We can still access and use 95+% of ours with all 3 slides in.

Not a real fan of toy haulers as I have no use for one. I prefer the front living room mid kitchen 5th wheel options.

This toyhauler is severely lacking kitchen counterspace!!! Big deal breaker for a lot of folks.
