Number of LEDs (the net has 480 LEDs to the Curtain's Curtain's 520), price (the net lights are cheaper), and how they're joined together. The net lights are both vertically and horizontally joined (to make a net) which means they're less likely to tangle from wind when outdoors. Net lights are also shaped in a much more "horizontal rectangle" setup... much shorter than it is wide. The lower LED count probably means "picture" scenes don't look as good. But the shape and size means you can put them places the curtains may not fit (perhaps a bush, etc.).
@@civileng67 Again, no, there's more differences than that. Like connection points, the shape (tall versus wide), price, etc. They seem similar at first glance, but use-case is going to be different.
That's a very good point. I'll get them outside in a spot that should get wind (not against a garage). Try them without connectors, with connectors, if that doesn't work, experiment with staking down from the LEDs and from the connectors. I'll follow up in a video with results! Thanks for watching.
Does the curtain have a connector at the non power end to connect more curtains at all. Do you then just buy 2 boxes, although there are 2 power connectors as well.
Alas, no (and that may be due to power requirements). You hang each curtain next to the other and run power separately for each as well. If you have two curtains, you'll plug in two power connectors.
@@anoraker That's not correct unfortunately. According to the Govee Customer Support, the second generation of the curtains do not support stitching via the app, nor you can mix and match them. So if you want a "3 pack", you must buy the 3 pack directly, you cannot put 1 + 2 packs together. Which is a little annoying as they only sell the 1 and 2 pack versions in the UK currently.
Oh wait, that's right. I accidentally ended up on support docs for the original curtains when doublechecking the answer. Maybe that's something Govee could add in the future... but as of now it's not possible. Shame.
Omg how hyperbolic can you get? I have been using the original curtain lights for over a year, use a lot of users stuff. I have not seen anything bad, haven't heard any cursing. Not saying you didn't see anything, but you are being extremely dramatic about it.
My dude, when the first five user videos I scroll through contain TVs showing out flat out nudity and cussing, I'm not getting hyperbolic... I'm warning of a real issue. And clearly it's not the first time, because Govee includes nudity and cussing as reasons to report videos. My 11 year old loves to play with the Govee app, so it could have been him subjected to that.
What’s the difference between this and the net lights?

Actually, the difference is the size of the net. The nets are simply smaller.

@@anorakergreat answer!!!
Please try them outside. Hope the windy weather isnt a showstopper any more with the small "connectors" between the strips.

@@anoraker Thanks. Do they then join together digitally via the app.
