Hey guys, welcome to my channel! I'll be uploading all my classic videos you love!

Music by Earl Bostic!!! He is the best when it comes to 50's hot jazz!! Хобби
Absolute mad lad u look like a mafia boss
Finally someone with thick and curly hair doing a video. I wish I saw this years ago instead of just getting basic fades because I couldn’t style my hair. New sub, because I love the old school style.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
I had long and thick curly hair and recently shaved it all off. I left just enough of a fringe to style. I hate having to blow dry, use an iron etc. I bought some Murray's and this video is exactly what I was looking for! Let me tell you, life is much easier with short hair.
Excellent , perfect retro look! Spot on.
I agree. Just used that pomade today for my normal look. I mainly applied it on the top layer of my hair and it instantly got rid of my splits. That's great technique to use when applying pomade to hair.
You have beautiful hair, dude. Even just leaving it natural looks good.
One of the best videos on YT imo! Thank you. There is hope for me battling curly hair
Love your videos sir, I look up to you as a modern inspiration of an old greaser!!!
Great video! Love the style, I too love pomade. Very classy
This man is clean with the hairstyle!!
Thank you so much for sharing, this has helped me tremendously
Love Earl Bostic!!! And Murray's Pomade too!
Simply nice tutorial
Looks awesome bud!
I just got some and did the slick back best pomade I've used thanks man
Yes sir!
This product works like a charm for yuu
Love it
I love Murray’s! Murrays 4 life brotha!!
That's right!
amazing
Needed this vid tbf
Awesome vid. Murray's is some thick ass pomade.
(edit) Just finished the vid, I stock up on Murray's too. Last time I went I bought out the entire stock on the shelf lol.. lasts a long time.
Thanks for the tutorial
My pleasure.
I think you were my high school teacher! Haha Good video!
Very nice
4:44 what are you getting ready for the apocalypse 😂
Because I get 5 cans? Haha, may as well. I don't really shop at Walmart other than to buy Murray's.
@@modernvintagelifestyles Yea it makes sense, especially considering that these pomades pretty much don’t expire.
Wow never thought I would see this.
Bought a can today because as I'm hitting 44 my hair needs more moisture & scalp psoriasis isn't helping as well. I'm hoping the pomade adds some scalp moisture too. Haven't used pomade since my teens.
If you want to take it completely use baby oil like if was shampoo when you shower and colm it. It will come right out.
I would love to have you put some of that in my hair, comb it up and back, and then giving me a very extreme flattop haircut using just the clippers and the comb, with the hair on the back and sides cut off, all the way up a little bit higher than the poridal ridge area.
i use the union strong hold one of the strongest pomade i have super wavy hair like yours an it just pulls it straight
I used 2 or 3 dabs. Ima stick to one like you. I mix my murrays with hair dressing pomade.
You should get goon grease pomade it's really good.
You should try Reuzel Pink.
Finally

Love your vids dude! Took me a while to find your page again haha
Eli Lopez aw man! Glad you found me again! As you can see, I have to start from scratch. :( they've been deleting accounts for any reason.
@@modernvintagelifestyles so any tips on how to keep my hair relaxed when i apply the murrays, i wet it like you said too, but after i apply the murrays it stays pointy straight, my hair is about as long as yours but the hair just clumps together unlike when i use the super light version
@@xxxAaronxxxable are you using just a finger dab? Are you also applying after you come out of the shower? Your hair needs to be completely damp for it to not clump together.
@@modernvintagelifestyles i tried the shower method, hair almost as wet as when i come out of the shower, but still gets stiff when i apply it
@@xxxAaronxxxable check out my vid on the right way to apply Murray's. You may be using too much.
I got Suavecito Firme Hold. I should give this a try considering I got the wavy hair, grazie mille godfather
This is the real deal.
Suavecito is water based, might not last all day but easier to wash. The original pomades were oil/petrolatum based, will last most of the day but more difficult to remove from hair. It can collect slowly on hair, so if you use it everyday you'll use less as the days go by. You'll need a really good wash (shampoo with sulfates are ok in this case) to completely remove it from your hair. And from personal experience, don't run your hands through your hair bc it will get on your scalp - gets itchy and smelly.
@@jc.eh.123 That is correct. Sulfates break down the oils and make it easy to remove pomade from your hair. Head & Shoulders is a good option.
I mix 2 different pomades.
A scoop of murrays superior hold.
2 fingertips of royal crown and it gives it awesome medium hold high shine essence. Nu nile is also awesome
That's a great combo! I have a video where I use those 2 products.
@@modernvintagelifestyles 😎 cool because i have curly wavy hair and i need to check it out
Same combo as Elvis ! Murray's for the hold, Royal crown for the shine. I personally mix Murray's superior with Brylcreem, the smell is so much better, shine is awesome and Murray's washes out so easily when mixed with Brylcreem.
I use a scoop of Murrays and a scoop of Tres Flores on mine, love the hold from Murrays but i need that Tres Flores shine and scent
Rodolfo Esquer Chavez You should start a pomade business
Murray’s is the best. I’ve wasted money on products that cost 10x more.
With curly hair could I get an Alex Turner-type style?
i love murrays, only problem is i got thick straighter hair, so i can only try to get the volume you do, i gotta comb STRAIGHT UP and sweep it over to even compare.
Elvis had straight hair too. With straight hair, you don't need much Murray's. You may wanna try a lighter Murray's pomade. Look for Murray's cocosoft coconut oil or Black and White genuine Pluko hair dressing pomade
@@modernvintagelifestyles hey. thanks for the tip, and i don't use that much murrays, i just kinda get a dab, think brylcreem almost. i really like the look of murrays, cause i actually get a real good shine with it.
Is this Hairstyle also possible with straight hair , nice vid
Absolutely.
Sir... is your hair (slightly) longer on the top front section of your head?
I'm trying to figure out your haircut... to see if it is a "pompadour" haircut.
Thanks.
Yes, it's longer in the front.
You remind me of a mafia boss.
Is it true that one can of Murray’s hair cream can last someone for many years.
One can can last you about 6 months with just a finger tip dab a day.
Is that vinny?
I have never used Pomade , but after this video i will , do you have any softer or easier pomade for beginners to use for this haircut
Murray's does have lighter-holding pomade which is not effective on straightening curly hair. If you visit the Murray's pomade website, you can get a description of all their pomades. Personally, the original hold is what I stick to.
@@modernvintagelifestyles ok nice , i have straight hair and would it be ok when i come out of the shower and comb my hair back with a wide brush first , because a lot say the hair is weaker when its wet and then apply murrays and make my part with the normal comb, pls countine the pomade series
Would this work for a middle part
Murray's works for practically any hair style.

I made a video of me trying it. Check it out in my list of videos
Why do you only apply murrays to the top of your hair?
Hey there. Applying it to the top of the hair makes sure it doesnt get a large amount of pomade on your scalp. The point is to get it in your hair. Putting it on top and using a comb allows the comb to spread it evenly to your hair.
I've heard many words saying that if we use Murrays too much we would get bald is that true tho?
I've heard that too. It hasn't happened to me because of the way I apply it. I only apply it to the top of my hair and not all the way down by the pores. I've been using it daily for over 20 years now
Donde la puedo comprar
Target, Walmart, murrayspomade.com, Amazon.
You look like robert de niro
how did u cut ur hair?
I ask the barber for a low taper.
The 7 dislikes are from people who don't use Murray
Contradiction on the part where you say not to get it in between hair . As most other videos I’ve ever seen they get the product nice and inbetween the hair , roots, all over
Is this a preference only? Does it alter the effect of the product? Is it dependent on product?
Help pls, I have curly hair and it’s medium length now I need right product to keep it professional slick the whole day at office. Trying to grow my rocker hair back lol. Any advice is helpful thanks , I got curly-wavy hair.
Hi, please let me know where the contradiction takes place?
Also, the reason I place it on top of my hair is so that I don't place it directly on the roots. There's no need to have the pomade on the roots. As long as you have the pomade above the roots, the curly hair will be controlled by the pomade. The comb will distribute the pomade to the rest of the hair as you comb it. Using a finger dab is enough as Murray's is a thick pomade. If you were to apply more pomade and then use the method of distributing it with the comb, im sure you'd get the pomade all the way down to the roots. The more pomade you use, the thicker and more manageable your curly hair will be.
The key is to apply it to semi wet hair. Damp may not be wet enough.
@@modernvintagelifestyles
hi thanks for reply and info, currently i'm using MADLAB Clay. will that work too? requires semi wet hair? cuz most of the feeedback i see is to use on dry hair.
@@coolz2334 I have never heard of madlab clay, but I would recommend Murray's. It's what I've used for 20 years now
Killer hair!!!! I’m still struggling, just can’t get a pampadour. I have slightly curly hair and I do use Murray’s.
Thanks for the video. I think I am using too much Murray’s, and I think I need to let hair grow longer.
How's it been working for you?
@@modernvintagelifestyles thank you. Not so good. I’m trying to blow dry first trying to comb pomp up front then a little Murray’s.
I still cannot get that 50”s look.
Do you think I need to let it grow longer?
I appreciate you.👍
@@paulpatriot1776 yes, keep letting the top grow until it's long enough to style into a pomp. Your hair should be long enough that if you pull idown the front it reaches down to your eyebrows
@@modernvintagelifestyles Thank you so much sir. That is a good baseline for me to target. 👍
How long is your hair
it's longer on the top, but shorter on the sides. But you can apply this to any length hair.
Why does music have to be so loud?..i didn't understand some of the things you said because of that
I agree. I should have turned it down a bit.
You look like Charles from Brooklyn 99
😂😂😂😂
How many hours it lasts ? This pomade
All day
It's an oil-based pomade, it lasts until you wash it out!!!
how long is the hold?
Pretty much all day. I only apply it once in the morning and that's it.
3-4 days
This guy could put soap in his hair and it would look dope
Haha, thanks
Vito?
Vito?
15 years using Murray’s and only on can #3 😂
1 can lasts me like 3 months.
@@modernvintagelifestyles that’s still a great rate. One can of royal crown last me about the same, but I like mine a little more pliable.

Nice tutorial but just so we are clear, your hair isn't really curly. If I put a comb through my hair wet it will just create instant ringlets.
My hair is curly wet or dry.
@@modernvintagelifestyles haha it isn't THAT curly though. 😁
@@Desh727 not anymore, especially since I've started using Murray's. Also keep in mind that once you apply Murray's, it doesn't come off with one wash. So in this video, I still had some murrays on my hair from the precious day. I'd say about 90% gets washed off with one good scrub using Head and Shoulders shampoo.
Lol, you call this curly hair ?
Well, it's not as curly since I have pomade residue left on my hair. When it's dry and completely free of pomade, it's completely curly.
Modern Vintage Lifestyles Alright man! I was a little frustrated because my hair is fuzzy and super thin! Nothing but love :D
@@mrmikef10 try a little Murray's. It should do the trick. They have it at target too.
