Cameron this is absolutely fantastic. You have great hair and you have done a great video. Thanks for showing us. I sure hope you show some more. I sure would like to see you working from the side and show those great fenders off. Thanks man. Great job!
I've been styling a pomp for 2 years but I still don't know how long my sides should be! I hate when people have fades or bullshit like that. A pompadour is classic! Sides have to be slicked back! Like your hair. The thing is my hair length on the top and the sides; I think I need to have an inch shorter on the sides but what do you recommend?
The ideal length for this kind of pompadour is to have the hair on top be at least to the tip of the nose. Anything beyond that is perfect for me. In this video specifically, the hair on top is to my chin. For the sides, two inches is the bare minimum to get them to slick very nicely, for me at least.
What if someone doesn't want to follow modern hairtrends like a lot of people in this comment section. If you don't like classic hairstyles than what are you doing here?
Afro pick! Thanks Cameron! Finally! Been trying to get the James Dean look (natural, not greasy ) without having to blow dry or spend over 10 minutes on my hair!
Thanks man for the video. Great video because I have a wavy hair too. My afro pick teeth are too big so that it just made it worse. I gotta need another one.
De Greasing should not be that difficult. Get some Aussie 3 minute miracle moist. It has the same effect, but leaves your hair silky smooth and you only have to do it once :)
After wearing a pomp for about a few minutues - few hours, my hair in the front just splits and falls to the sides so I look like Mao Zedong. Could this be caused by using too much pomade? I use Murray's. Thanks (by the way, your pompadour looks very good).
Yo, Cameron A., I bought three cans of that Murray's Superior Pomade for cheap at a Walmart -- best decision I made for achieving the slicking back of hair.
I use gel, paste, and hairspray. The problem is that if you work around many people/coworkers, they can smell all that, so I try to find fragrance-free hair products.
A lot of people do how to videos for thick hair. Seems like it just comes right together. The harder part is combing a pomp with thin hair. You have to use much less pomade and certain volumising tricks.
Cool pompadour nicely done my man I like it alot but my hair is naturally like that I just had to check it out myself to find out how it was done always have a constant wave on my friend that's why I just needed to find out how the pompadour was done running out thanks a million man preciate it sincere TCB Elvis Arion Presley Mark Dawson that's the way it is man
So I have 3B hair and no interest in having a pompadour (and probably cant even get one), but it never occured to me that straight and wavy haired people could make good use of a pick
Just watched a few of your pompadour styling videos and I'm really appreciating the advice- I have pretty thick wavy hair, but my hair waves like REALLY close to the front and then straight to the side- so most of the time I end up looking more like the Vault Boy with that front curl/cowlick thing. Do you have any advice for getting a pompadour to work for hair that just doesn't want to stay slicked back? Thanks in advance!
One of the best vids I've seen. Real simple ... A question though -- do you have your hair cut symmetrically or is it cut with a left/right part, and how does it affect the hair when you style it?
awesome pomp man, wish i could do my pomp that easily. How much Pomade do you use? I always think i use to much and my hair starts to split at the back of my head everytime i try to comb it....any tips to avoid that? And how does your hair look on the back? I'm just curious, maybe you can show it in another video
I show the length of my hair in my Cool Wax review ruclips.net/video/FpfDNGG6Gz4/видео.html and if you watch any of my other pomade review, you will see that I use 3 to 4 scoops.
Does your hair become more cooperative over time? It's a bit of a task at the moment getting my hair more slicked back at places. Had a comb over for the past 5 years and just decided to change it up.
So i bought Murray's superior and on the back of my hair there's a few hairs sticking out. All around my hair there's some tiny strands of hair sticking out like electricity. Is that normal for Murray's?
Hi. I'm struggling with my pomp, almost every time ends up looking like a breaking wave, curls to the back at the base, then to the front and goes back. Any advice?
My hair is actually thin that if i wet my hair and use pomade the pompadour doesnt form properly. My scalp is seen alot easier, the hold isnt there at the front. By the way my pomade is MEDIUM HOLD and looks like as if it hasnt bonded properly when hair is wet. I emulsify it but same result. It looks kinda greasy so maybe its "too soft" with wet hair
would you do a tutorial of the Jimmy Vaughan pompadour, specifically the style when he was younger , there's an old black and white pic of him when he was younger holding a fender Stratocaster and looking right at the camera and he has an amazing pompadour going , I wish I could comment the picture, do you have an email I could send it to ?
i have to ask. what do you ask for when you get a hair cut. i have some wavy thick hair as well but i like to keep the back long for a duck tail and it gets heavy. what do you ask for when it comes to getting a haircut?
I've got thick, wavy hair as well, but with a huge wave in the very front that's getting worse as I get older (the hairs actually get an "s" shape at a certain length). I can hardly get any volume in the front anymore and I look like a goof. Any suggestions? Thanks, camerona!
Just take a conditioner and run about 3 squirts through dry hair with the pomade in, let that sit for about 15-20 minutes after that pretty much all the pomade is out
any one know a good palade i dont do this style but whats a good pomade that wont flake in ur head my problem is gels n some pomades ive tryed dry out n give me flakes
I've been looking for a pomp with no part.....THANK YOU

thanks for the post.
This is actually the best pomp I have ever seen! Nice job bro!
My hair is hard to style because it's wavy too, but I think this method will work for me. Thanks for the video, and that hair is sick!
Never seen anyone do it like that. Definitely gonna try it. You have a badass pomp my friend!!
Thank you!
You bet!
Hey bro! You look like Eddie Cabot. You looking good ! Awesome hairstyle
Cameron this is absolutely fantastic. You have great hair and you have done a great video. Thanks for showing us. I sure hope you show some more. I sure would like to see you working from the side and show those great fenders off. Thanks man. Great job!
Holy shit man thank you for that I never thought to use a afro pic , helped tremendously

Get with the times! Retro modern. Who wants a duck butt on the back of their head??? Make it your own! Not follow the rest!
What if someone doesn't want to follow modern hairtrends like a lot of people in this comment section. If you don't like classic hairstyles than what are you doing here?
@@theman6841 Your whole “Get with the times” directly contradicts “Don’t follow the rest.” Maybe it is you who should make it your own.
Afro pick! Thanks Cameron! Finally! Been trying to get the James Dean look (natural, not greasy ) without having to blow dry or spend over 10 minutes on my hair!
Nicely done! I am going to pick up some Murray's!
John Asher suit yourself buddy
Cameron, that is a gorgeous pompadour. 10/10
Awesome video mate, It looks perfect. I bought Murray's today, I'm glad it's available here. :)
Thank you! If you like Murray's, definitely try out Dax Wave and Groom, and then try out some home brewed pomades :)
camerona145 Thanks, I will give it a try!
camerona145 is Murray's not as efficient as those others or are they all pretty good?
Omg I am glad I found this video. You earn a sub!
Great video brother👍👍👍👍
Nice vid. Looks great!
DAMN! You make it look easy!
Such good hair
Well done Silvio Dante
Thanks man for the video. Great video because I have a wavy hair too. My afro pick teeth are too big so that it just made it worse. I gotta need another one.
Thank you sir :)
Your sides are damn slick and tight man!
MrLesleyP Thank you!!!
Always love your videos dude, kudos !
Dude. Awesome job! My hair isn't as thick as that. I wish!
beautiful job. love it
great video youre the best
Johnny has good looking hair
For anyone having issues getting Murray's out. I used olive oil then dish soap. It took a few coats but it worked
De Greasing should not be that difficult. Get some Aussie 3 minute miracle moist. It has the same effect, but leaves your hair silky smooth and you only have to do it once :)
thats sweet, awesome thanks!

Splits usually happen when you don't properly apply pomade. I made a video on my channel about how to fix splits in a pompadour
ruclips.net/video/b0NM5V5xdQs/видео.html I hope this can help :)
Cameron A
can you post a tutorial on the roy orbison pompadour please!
TheProGamerHW same man it sucks I just have to brush it back with my hand and look like jerry lee Lewis.
Mao Zedong LMAO
Yo, Cameron A., I bought three cans of that Murray's Superior Pomade for cheap at a Walmart -- best decision I made for achieving the slicking back of hair.
You have a cooperative hair..lol.
Great video man!
Thank you!! It is all practice !!!
for shorter hair will be different, isn't it?
Tommy Citra If your hair is substantially shorter, yes, but if you have some length to it. (I say to the mid nose) This technique should work :)
camerona145 Mine just pass my eyebrows. Can't get it longer until touch my nose. Been growing it from the last 2 months. Seems grow slowly :(
Than have patience :) You could try this method and see how it turns out, but just know that when it is longer , it will be perfect ;)
look at Johnny Deep when he was 16 amazing rockabilly
best hair ever.
Thank You!! It sure does mean a lot :)

Please do a review on murrays superior styling pomade

my hair isn't even thick and wavey but I still use the swirling motion to give my hair the round forward pomp which help tremendously...
good video man. I normally use Johnny B, I live in the desert and it's very hot here so if I use Murray's my pomp melts due to the heat. lol
Dope vid! Thanks!!
So I have 3B hair and no interest in having a pompadour (and probably cant even get one), but it never occured to me that straight and wavy haired people could make good use of a pick
i always get pomade stuck in my fine tooth comb and it looks like i have dandruff its quiet hard to get out, any tip?
try using really hot water works for me
Oh yeah i
I love This Hair Style. I did the same everyday withe à side on the left part

the false number 9 My hair is to my chin on top and about 2.5 inches on the side.
Nice

My hair literally will not do this! do I would say its decently long right now. Will it work better with much much longer hair?
Tip of the nose is ideal, and of course, lots of practice ;)
Thanks for the advice
Do you think this method to comb a nice (excelent I must say) full pompadour will be serve for thin hair?
I think it would be fine :)
Sorry, Hanz De Fuko is not all natural bud.
And not worth it I might add
Well that's because those are all garbage products
Work ass XD haha
I got the same but i did à side part cause i love it
Oh damn.. it's nice guy eddie
Great video man! What are the dimensions of your hair?
Love the hair man. I'm trying to do this type I have the hair for it I'm just having a hard time. Wht pomades do u recommend for a beginner
My uncle has that exact same shirt
Does your hair become more cooperative over time? It's a bit of a task at the moment getting my hair more slicked back at places. Had a comb over for the past 5 years and just decided to change it up.
I have thick beautiful hair and I jus can’t seem to get the right pomp shape
nice gots to try it this way
Hope it works for you :)
ill find out tomorrow buddy thanks
Cameron A, may I have hair like yours, LOL?
This is so hard
So i bought Murray's superior and on the back of my hair there's a few hairs sticking out. All around my hair there's some tiny strands of hair sticking out like electricity. Is that normal for Murray's?
Have you tried styling your pompadour on the opposite side of your wave where your cowlick grows if so please post link!!!!!
Hi. I'm struggling with my pomp, almost every time ends up looking like a breaking wave, curls to the back at the base, then to the front and goes back. Any advice?

It looks kinda greasy so maybe its "too soft" with wet hair
Do you let your hair dry before applying Murray's Pomade or do you apply it when your hair is still wet?
nice vid mate but what shoud i do if i havent thick long wavy hair, but thin? :( i can´t pick that hair up and forward :D
Cameron A I have a question. If I have a wavy hair and I apply Murray's pomade it will looks like your hair?
I wish my hair was that thick
thoughts on American Crew Fiber?
would you do a tutorial of the Jimmy Vaughan pompadour, specifically the style when he was younger , there's an old black and white pic of him when he was younger holding a fender Stratocaster and looking right at the camera and he has an amazing pompadour going , I wish I could comment the picture, do you have an email I could send it to ?
h
*young shawty like a melody in my head*
I got a wave in my hair that curves towards my face from the sides and it always splits in the middle
Camaron A can you do a vaseline hair tonic review
i have to ask. what do you ask for when you get a hair cut. i have some wavy thick hair as well but i like to keep the back long for a duck tail and it gets heavy. what do you ask for when it comes to getting a haircut?
I have a video that explains just this on my channel.
oh sweet haha thank you
Dude, you've got the frickin' hottest hair on the planet! WOW!
CAMERON... Where have you gone to?!!
So if i use murrays and i wash my hair like a i normally would i would be just fine?
yup. Glorious Build up :)
Do you know proper ways to wash hair so you dont go bald because of Murray's?
Murray's doesn't make you go bald
Cameron A hes talking about rubbing your hair so hard when you wash out that it feels like you'll rip it straight out.
I have strong thick courly hair. Could you make a tutorial video how to style a greasy pompadour with real curly hair?
Thanks a lot, keep on going! :)
I know you're using Murray's in this video but what is your go to pomade?
I've got thick, wavy hair as well, but with a huge wave in the very front that's getting worse as I get older (the hairs actually get an "s" shape at a certain length). I can hardly get any volume in the front anymore and I look like a goof. Any suggestions? Thanks, camerona!
I'm the exact same way
I wish you included the part in where your hair was wavy
What product did you use for this ?
Clean
Murrays Pomade is good for hold but the product doesn't get out of your hair
Noah Miranda well duh it's a oil based pomade
Just take a conditioner and run about 3 squirts through dry hair with the pomade in, let that sit for about 15-20 minutes after that pretty much all the pomade is out
how do you even get Murray's in your hair? it's really tough.. do you heat it?
Yeah you have to heat it actually.
any one know a good palade i dont do this style but whats a good pomade that wont flake in ur head my problem is gels n some pomades ive tryed dry out n give me flakes
What product did you use beforehand ?
he said in the begging "Murray's superior hair pomade"
