There's a very good reason why the popular vote is only worth 10%. The amount of people calling Astro Bot a tech demo proves that a lot of "gamers" don't even know what these games are.

It's a fair call. If this was a competition for "best show", Arcane would've won. But it's not. It's a competition for "best adaptation". And as much of a masterpiece as Arcane was, it's a show loosely based on the universe of LoL, rewriting significant portions of existing lore, and having almost nothing to do with the actual game. Fallout on the other hand masterfully captured what playing its game is like. It's a very good show, and an excellent adaptation of its source material.
For me I think they change the way they evaluate "best adaptation". Cause if not then I don't get why Cyberpunk Edge Runner lose last time (they literally bring the concept of Night City to the film).
That would make sense if Cyberpunk edge runners didn't also lose out to arcane, Edge runners is closer to its source material than both arcane and fallout, to the point where the creator of the series even said they nailed it.

I personally wanted Metaphor, but Astrobot would have been my 2nd choice. My biggest disappointment was Like a Dragon not winning anything. It really suffered from coming out in a year that was so stacked with JRPGs like Metaphor, P3Reload, and FF7, and releasing so early in the year.

Wukong has great graphics, but the gameplay is nothing special, and it's something that kids would like. What made Astro Bot stand out was that it was purely focused on the enjoyment of the gameplay, something that most games today lack.
