I actually was about ready to buy one last week, but the dealer wanted to play their usual games. I am glad they did, because it made me realize for certain what a bad decision would have been to spend 115k OTD on a vehicle that will lose around 15% the moment I sign the papers. Along with, the problems it will have and the delays getting them resolved due to the people scratching their heads. Less than 1% of the population can afford a 100k plus vehicle, and probably only 1% of those people have any interest in the Hummer. And probably only 10% of those will actually be a new buyer. Once the small or tiny percentage of the population purchases This vehicle, then the market will severely tank on them and the dealers will be begging people to take these off their lots for 20% markdown. Mark these words!
Were you getting below MSRP? I am seeing a couple now below MSRP here in Canada. I am in the same boat.. I never wanted one really until I sat in one at the car show. I have had a Green H2 for 21 years but haven't driven it in 5 years since I went electric. Was planning to go Porsche this time but I have driven 3 Taycans and haven't liked any of them... and the depreciation has been so bad on them that I don't think I would consider buying an Macan EV now. The Hummer is a bit of an outlier cause it does so many different things and it will always be rare where I live compared to a G Wagon or any Porsche EV. That said, these things will tank and I will only consider it at a deep MSRP discount.. Which I think will come over the next year. These are piling up at the dealers.
There’s 4 at a dealership near me, city of only 70000 people. $199K list price but tags in the window for $14K off. Still doubt any of them move, the market just isn’t there.
Yes sir. It's coming if you haven't bought one yet. Give it another 6 months and you might see 50k off sticker. Vehicle sales are slowing for sure. I just bought a 24 Silverado. MSRP was 60k. I got it for 44k.

Of course it’s excess! But it’s so much fun, I think you can absolutely own one of these and still know it’s grossly oversized. I think there’s a charm to it. Obviously not every vehicle will be this size, but it’s fun to see a monster truck like this on the highway every so often

what is the length and width of the cargo area with the rear seats down? I'd like to know if I can sleep in it and how large of a mattress will fit since I have camping in mind.
Double check your torque numbers. If you still think your 11,500 number is right, check it again.

Crab mode reminds me of the truck I think it was ford where the front and back would turn in the opposite directions. It showed backing a trailer in a tight cross road next to a barn. I never knew what it was called but always thought "I can just see it now someone goes to turn and forgets or hits the button and ends up turning to fast and flips the thing over."

1-how’s the wind noise?
2-how’s the leg room in the 2nd row compared to a full size suv like a Tahoe or Yukon?
There’s a decent amount of wind noise, but not nearly as much as a Wrangler, leg room is solid, lots of room. It’s pretty similar to a Tahoe.

@@xtremecoast Well, if everyone did what I do and use (LOTS of) solar panels in conjunction with owning an EV, they would be saving the environment. But I don't do it for that reason. I do it for the unlimited range!
I leased one and I love it. Not because it saves the environment as it doesn’t. I don’t need to worry about oil changes, service, maintenance, spark plugs, air filters, etc. I also never go to the gas station which is nice because I’ve become lazy. It’s actually one of my favorite cars currently.

Last time GMC tried that, crazy environmental activist vandals torched a bunch of new Hummers. I like the EV version because I have many kW of solar panels on my property so this means no cost to power it unless I'm on a road trip. I don't want it because I'm against fossil fuels. I wish there was a gas-version as well.
Not good as an EV...should have a big V8.
