One thing is if your phone in older update then while doing this process initially your phone update new ios and then you have to repeat same process to start your iphone

I have an iMac and it was the same process except I had to go into finder, then find my iphone on the left, and then follow the process that way since iMacs no longer use iTunes.

This does not work on an iPhone 14 pro. Also if that phone had been factory reset, he would of had to sign into his apple ID account, but we didnt see him do that.

Don’t hold down all buttons, only click the volume up & down buttons each ONCE, and then hold down the power button till the cable screen comes on. I tried it, it worked for me

My step daughter just paid the $750 upgrade fee and now we have a brick .metro pcs let us leave the store without this one being activated and they killed her old phone. Needless to say when the new phone sent the iTunes activation code. And she didn't have an active apple device to accept the code. It bricked her new iPhone 14.
We are stuck on the restore button on the iMac. It shows restore on the phone screen. And gives us the first restore button on the PC screen but then stops. On the second restore/update buttons. It just sits there nothing happens. Hit the button 1 million times. It's frozen. T he update button works but can't update a locked phone. Lol

I am trying to get back into an iPhone 14 Pro Max using a Macbook Pro running Sonoma. My computer says “Your Mac is downloading the software for this iPhone & will restore your iPhone when the download is complete.” What happens is that a little while into the download my phone restarts & shows an iPhone unavailable screen with my background & all. My computer has a popup asking if I want to trust my phone/computer or whatever. It doesn’t do like this video & downloads the software & then the phone restarts itself & is good to go. I have done this 3 times now. What am I doing wrong?
I think it had malware or something on it because my phone would have say 57% battery & the screen would randomly freeze, go black, and the screen would come back on with 1% battery, then freeze again & go back to the battery life I have. My husband said his previous Android phone was doing the same thing. The new Android phone doesn't do it.
