Impressively Large, Extra Scale Twin EDF
FAST AND FORMIDABLE
Developed by Russia's Sukhoi Aviation Corporation, the two-seat, twin-engine Su-30 multirole fighter improved on the Su-27 with greater operational range and the ability to support both air and ground attacks. The E-flite® Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF jet replicates this rarely modeled fighter in striking Extra Scale detail and offers unique flight characteristics and features. From its large size, functional air brake and highly-detailed retractable landing gear to the twin power system and the awesome turbine-like sound it delivers, this Su-30 is designed to impress. The model also features a unique Russian Falcons trim scheme that adds to the authenticity and in-flight visibility.
AN EDF TWIN IN FIGHTING FORM
The E-flite® Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF jet replicates the seldom-modeled Sukhoi fighter with power, maneuverability, and Extra Scale details that all combine for a truly incomparable flying experience. With its twin EDF units running in sync, the Su-30 sounds like a giant-scale turbine-powered jet - and because of its impressively large size it flies like a big jet, too. The 12-blade 70mm fans feature brushless inrunner motors that are paired with 80A ESCs wired to use a single 6S 5000-7000mAh LiPo battery. This power system produces excellent top speed and vertical performance, while the factory-installed, metal-geared servos with ball-link equipped linkages deliver precise control. Functional Extra Scale features include a deployable air brake, LED landing and navigation lights, full-flying stabs, sequenced gear doors and electric retracts with shock-absorbing struts including a trailing-link nose gear so the Su-30 can be flown from a wide variety of surfaces. And a multitude of Extra Scale details make it a standout on the tarmac and in flight, including molded-in panel lines and hatches, removable optional-use ordnance, cockpit detail and a factory-applied finish with a unique high-visibility trim scheme.
High-Performance EDF:
Twin 12-blade 70mm fans deliver excellent top speed and vertical performance, while conveniently operating from a single 6S 5000-7000mAh LiPo battery. Making the experience even more exciting is the fantastic sound produced by the two fans running in sync.
Extra Scale Details:
The Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF features an abundance of Extra Scale details including molded-in panel lines and hatches, shock-absorbing landing gear, removable ordnance and more.

Holy hell I’ve been waiting for motion to release one of these but you guys just went and did it!
The first day He did the EC-1500 Cargo, and flew very well. The second Day He did the F16, then the P51, then the L-39, then the F4 and just "yesterday" the F-18 MORS EX TENEBRIS. Being bored of resting, on Sunday He did the Su-30...
Just getting started with RC flying. This E-flite model is killer! Something to look forward as I work on my flying skills.

I'm going over the plane manual published on the site and I have mixed feelings.
I see a lot of things that I like a lot and many improvements over Freewing's design of the Su-35...
But I also see quite a few potential grave issues. :|
Battery placement all the way forward on the nose of the aircraft is worrisome, and the way the ventral fins are attached suggests that they may break easily on landing.
Other than that the jet looks fantastic. Send one and I'll make a good review! ;)

I’m putting money on the fact this was produced in the exact same building as freewing stuff ,, just like seagull models used to make balsa(still do) models for a lot of companies, only thing elite about this plane is the title

Huge shame with the lack of thrust vectoring, but everything else looks great.
@@spyda2002 Well yeah. Didn't have to be a problem, but considering the rather big AUW on this model as it is, I agree that something else would have to go in order to make room for that weight.
The old SU-35 is virtually identical size, and weighs almost 1000g less. Including TV
I love to see more non-US jets being produced though - like this one. While somewhat understandable, it is a big shame that the vast majority of releases are US only, when there are so many other, diverse and interesting fullsize options out there.

And no, I don't believe for a second that you can fit a 7000 in this one. It is already heavy as fck, and the battery bay is very far forward. I strongly doubt you could get the cg anywhere near far enough back.

Sure, you can *fit* a huge battery, but not without destroying your cg, since this model forces a very forward battery position, meaning that battery weight affects cg a lot.
I might have to spring for this one also. Just got the F4 the other day. Dang, too many choices and so little space.
E flite are killing it
Now this is a stunning piece! Holy moly I like this one! The pint job could be different but the whole idea and scale +detail = OUTSTANDING! Speed is just right and even the sound is somewhat realistic. I really like...no no ! I really LOVE THIS ONE! What a beauty 😍.

Just finished watching the other Live Discussion pre-amble on this model by e-flite and now caught a glimpse of this flight video. It's a fast jet, and highly agile, especially for its size - wasn't expecting that! Very impressive.

I think the SU-30 has canards but the Su-27 does not. That’s why the FMS re-brand calls this the Su-27

I really like the direction eflight are going in compared to Freewing. Although I love Freewing, they seem to be making their models less and less scale, taking away many features, (lights etc) but somehow charging a lot more. While Horizon jets are expensive, at least things like the gear look truly amazing and have taken things forward rather than backwards

Oh yes, a pucker occurred at 0:53, otherwise fantastic flying, incredible jet, sound, details, retracts, air brake - what's not to like! Besides who other than QQ needs thrust vectoring anyway? Oh and by the way you won't have time to flip the "safe" switch on this one! Great video, great flying!
