@@Sonars I have a question. How do you send the microphones to the 246? As it doesn't have xlr inputs. Do you connect them to an interface and then send it to the 246?
@@winnyjstew looks like she’s using an old Sony HF type 1 cassette. These machines are biased for type ii, but nothing terrible happens with type 1s, it just ends up sounding grainier.
Silly question but do you find tape loops play really fast in the 246, I know there is two different speeds but I find even in the slowest that the tape goes crazy fast!
Hi there! You're not the first person asking me this, but the speed on my tascam 246 works normally, I suspect maybe you'd need to replace the belts, they tend to get loose after a long time
So inspiring. I just bought a 246 and it is an amazing machine!
Sounds stunning pitched down like that
This is really calming, I love it.
Cheers 👍

That’s right. We used the zoom h5 as mic preamp and went from the line out to the 246 😊
@@Sonars Nice! Thanks for the data.
you had me at tascam 246 tape loop. sounds even cleaner than my 388!
This has some strong Radiohead “Bloom” vibes, pretty cool. You could plug that loop into the 388 there and really go to town...
tape really softens piano nicely... piano can sound harsh when not on tape :D
I completely agree!
@ last; a real musician working with a 246 Portastudio.
¿Ferro tape in a Tascam 244? ¿Is it problematic with bias adjust?
i bought the 246 to do this.
Congrats on your purchase. I think the 246 is the best sounding cassette player I ever tried. Very warm and great texture
What kinda tape is that?
It's cassette tape
@@Sonars like the brand

@@Sonars thanks but weird as belts replaced not to long ago and normal tapes play fine. Very odd.
