Trouble with another ITU game is... Cycle 1-5 of ATO is a lot, if you then get some seasons content too...when are you gonna do Kingdoms Forlorn AND V3? Just doesn't seem possible, it's too much content. I think ITU probably should space these games out more - right now they're competing with themselves!
They haven't even delivered cycles 4&5 yet. However based on the last Campaign, one of the last enemies that was revealed as a stretch goal, wasn't a primordial, hinting at a new type of enemy for later sequels.
I agree with this sentiment. I know there is a vocal minority out there that can chew through the campaigns very quickly, but I feel like that's a rarity. I still ahven't finished Act 1 of ATO. I actually canceled my Kingdoms Forlorn pledge as a result. I just can't get through it quickly enough at this stage in my life.
Shadowborne Games showed a trailer video of the Avalon game at their booth in Essen 10 weeks ago. I'm surprised the trailer and info is not yet on their website. It looked pretty great, awesome minis again, interesting factions. The designer gave a few hints, too. I'm saving one of my two board game purchases next year for this.
Looks like the orient express game has the call of Cthulhu rpg brand on it. It’s probably gonna be similar to the rpg in a more solo DM-less format. Also, it’s not based on a movie. It is-but it was an Agatha Christie book first and a quite famous one.
Hey chris. Can i make a suggestion, you sgould consider updating your lighting and background for the videos into something more modern, neither would break the bank but would do wonders for presentation. If i scroll though my RUclips feed, your videos always look like they are from the 80s.
Please tell me that’s not the map for Daimyo? That looks horrible. Honestly looks like a board game from 1980’s. My wallet is looking good so far for next year. Not backing any of these except maybe Daimyo. However if that’s the map forget it.
"Show me, show me, show me..." Great. Now I have the rest of the lyric stuck in my head. "...how you do that trick The one that makes me scream", she said
Be careful with Stone Sword Games. The Senjutsu campaign was awful, they treated their backers very poorly, and there were missing stretch goals. They also didn't deliver the game to backers before retail, despite promises, and they were caught in a few lies during the campaign as well. Back with caution!
Sound advice I expect! I've got a friend who backed and still has nothing here in the UK, while I can now pick the core up at retail pretty heavily discounted, should I chose. Ouch, and I'd personally give them a wide berth for that alone.
We are getting more KDM early next year. Black Knight and Frogdog from Wave 4 are done and Campaigns of Death should be out. KDM is finally moving along.
ITU have said about the announcement in 2024 but probably not a campaign until ATO cycles 4&5 and KF deliver. Itll probably come down to the theme for me, love ATO and the greek theme, but KF felt too similar to other IPs for my taste
I will definitely be in on the Conan game. I was a huge fan of the Marvel comics version growing up. I missed the last KS, so I am getting this. I don't know where I am putting it, but I'll worry about that in 2026.
Earthborne Rangers is coming back in Q1, this time to Gamefound. I believe they are fixing some production issues from the first run plus adding some new content.
That sounds promising! I've held off this run because of the reported issues and will be keen to take a look at that. However, in Europe at least with VAT slapped on everything, it may well be better to wait a bit further for retail down the line...
CMON can't go to Kickstarter for he man. kS don't allow a second run of a successful campaign unless there are changes or additions or something. And cmon has no plans of doing nothing but print out carbon copies of the same game.

Yea I fully agree. Until now I backed everything from them. But right now I would not back another title. I did not even finish cycle 1.

I really hope ITU doesnt launch a new campaign next year. They have 2 games due, and I have a feeling they are still way behind on both.

CMON’s He-man game is going to be available to crowdfund for a lot of us for the first time next year
Horror on the Orient Express is also one of the Call of Cthulhu more signature rpg campaigns.
Yeah he doesn’t know about that crowdfunding campaign it seems

Watching him saying is based on the film just blew my mind. Its obviously based on the well known RPG campaign which is named the same.
Morning Chris thanks for the update.

I have an immense desire to play everything from ITU. No idea how that lines up with real life, though.
Awesome list Chris, thank you for your effort. Have a great Xmas!!
The games that are coming up that Im looking forward too are Armello the Board Game, Limbo Eternal War and Wroth.
Sounds exciting ! Still no update on „Welded Iron“ I assume ?

I’m looking forward to learning more about The Dead Keep that’s coming from CMON
Still waiting on my copy of harrow county. Gonna hold off until I play, but yes OTP games produces some of my favorite deluxified board games
Expect an update this week! Harrow County games are on boats and on their way!!
I am also excited for Ascending Empire: Zenith Edition and Defenders of the Realms new edition.
Thunder Road Vendetta I’m interested in seeing on crowdfunding again
"Show me, show me, show me..." Great. Now I have the rest of the lyric stuck in my head. "...how you do that trick

Awesome video
I’m super excited for Wroth from Chip Theory Games. Asymmetric area control that will be on the lighter side compared to most area control games.

Good games to look forward to 👍. How about Innis & Invincible from Dire Wolf.

If you aren't aware, there is a new Comic volume written by Jim Zub that people are loving.
So did you get nemesis? Lol
Another one from CMON that I'm looking forward to is The Dead Keep.
If it makes you feel better I am also waiting on ISS Vanguard
I love Tower of God,they should make that a board game 😜
I actually have not read it since the train arc, I should probably try to catch up.

Defenders of the realm is for me nr 1❤😊
10k in early 2024 for sure!

That's your own fault re: not having a game. The 1 wave/split has been a thing for a decade.
You forgot "Mini Rouge 2" :)
WOOOOOO
I thought you were anti kickstarter/gamefound
