A lot of homeowners are looking for bottom basement pricing and it’s a terrible way to look at things because without profit margins the likelihood of that solar company being around long term is highly unlikely. Warranties are pretty much meaningless if the installer is out of business or unresponsive.
Do you serve California? Can you recommend a solar system for home renters who intend to stay 5+ years at same location (we've relocated for kid'scollege)? If yes what kind of system price?
yes you need to do it while this person is talking to you about the sell look up the company, because it will be a nightmare, like what happened to me vision solar got the system install in the first week of July 2021 and now is nov 2022 and still is not operational, so don't get your system from them...
Vision Solar was founded by some guys from Momentum Solar and they are terrible in terms of doing things properly (by the book so to speak). A lot of the people that are still waiting for their systems to be turned on is because their solar company did not file the proper permitting or interconnection paperwork with the relevant utility company. It’s always important to ask questions about whether or not the company plans on doing the proper paperwork. It’s a catch 22 because these companies tend to set unrealistic expectations pertaining to timelines because customers want their solar installed as quickly as possible. So it’s important to know that a solar company will follow the proper procedures to get your solar system installed and activated.
