I'm not gonna lie. I wouldn't mind an extended version of that song.
me too, I thought it sounded kinda like Pretty Lights song.
Same.
❤️❤️❤️
ruclips.net/video/uetuizXu9kI/видео.html
Same here. I really enjoyed that.
Yeah I really liked it but I wish he would make it again with a better amp and fuzz pedal though
Man, when I watch your vids I realize that I REALLY need to wear more shirts with my picture on them.
Wow so this has no comments
@@AnmeKazuto not anymore
@@AnmeKazuto Sir, your information is out of date
@@6feetunderpants I forgot to update version 2.0
Yes
“Not the best 100 bucks I’ve ever spent but, buy it now”
Yeah, I felt that on a deep level
but y'know? Not the worst 100 bucks either!
Sammy G is living the life. "Let's spend $1000 on random musical bullshit" is a sound professional decision for him.
Tax write off though.
My dream is to do just this. Maybe make the new primus but meme based idk
@@Gearhead_47 I can imagine that. Song be like "19$ fortnite card •4 minute bass solo•
@@everychannel1025 gotta figure out how to floss while playing or whatever that arm crossing crouching dance is lol
@@jawide626 that doesn't mean he gets all (or even a substantial amount of) that money back bro
Tax write-offs aren't some sorta cheat code
You have GOT to make this a semi-series.
Maybe if we send him weird musical stuff and he makes a song out of 2-3 items. It would make the audience participate and drop the cost of the video he could even make a contest to win them after.
It should have multiple creators, guests, and judges like top chef
I agree it's entertaining. But I also hurt for him when I see those price tags
@@thefrantasticmissfine yes
Anyone interested in this experiment should check out the album “Gizmodgery” by Self. An entire album composed on toy instruments. More of it works than you’d think.
Seeing Sammy G have a mildly uncomfortable conversation with a circuit-bent Furby is certain to be the highlight of my day.
Also, the jam SLAPS.
Bro u ok?
@@mateuslaet4140 I am now!
@@mateuslaet4140 I don't think anyone he wrote gives the impression that he wouldn't be okay
I didn’t like the canjo when I heard it, but it genuinely got really well into the mix of the actual song
I agree! Sounded kind of like a sitar
Indeed, that is actually very interesting. Some instruments don't sound great on their own but sound brilliant when mixed with other instruments
I really want one haha would be a good thing to travel with or just mess around with
Canjos sound really good when they are electric, because of the natural distortion from the metal can. The electric version of the one in the video is about 10 extra dollars, and worth every cent. Sounds metal AF.
(Sounds better than a regular banjo though. Sue me.)
Censoring to keep away from the adult content bots. Mad Respect.
They have been destroying my account. Its so annoying 🙄
@@JamesBritemusic dude same
but why is the furby head censored at 10:33?
It literally doesn’t make a difference, I made relatively child friendly content and still received comments from the bots, even tho the channel is relatively small
@@ewanguitar3666 same here at 185 subs and i make music and Christian content. Its so annoying becuse I've seen em on little kids channel. Why isn't the comment algorithm stoping this.
“Im not sure what causes it to make noise it kinda just randomly goes off”
Yup sounds like a Furby alright
I think the coolest musical thing I ever saw on Etsy was a Spamp, which was pretty much a guitar amp built into a spam container. It was pretty ingenious and had some killer sound modes
Oh my god I love spamps
Did either of you buy one?
Lmao rn
@@a-lonley-box3657 Have one on the way. The video demo and the novelty had me sold XD
@@loganlewis3042 no hecking way that's incredible, seriously update me on how it sounds. I'm really intrigued
This is probably one of the more expensive videos that Sammy G have made. I have to say I respect that he didn't milk it buy doing two videos, one unboxing and one actually playing with the weird stuff...
That Kalimba actually seems like it could be pretty useful.
I have the same one and it's great
I got a Furby for my daughter once. It was terrifying and would not die.
Sorry to hear it! It reminds me of some friends of mine who were given a Cookie Monster toy that had a maniac laugh. They got fed up of it, put it in the attic and forgot about it until one night it randomly started laughing and scared the shit out of them. They couldn’t find it for ages either..
How do you kill that which does not live?
Seriously though, those stupid things were just really weird and disturbing.
@@propyro85 IT DOES LIVE. IT'S HIDING HERE SOMEWHERE WAITING TO ATTACK.
The Furby Cannot Die.
Me: Here's a brick, a sofa cushion, three gerbils and a fern. Make a song with 'em. Sammy: No worries, as long as the fern stays in tune. Cheers...
You first!!!
Man, the algorithm has been doing you dirty since this year started. Hope you find a way to get back in those recommendeds. God speed, Sam.
I swear SammyG could make a better song & mix using a toothpick & rubber band than I could ever make with my $10k+ in gear.
this is the least humble humble brag ive seen ever.
This dude actually knows how to make really good music
So happy you got the plumbus fuzz. Is your guitar covered in Schleem now?
uhh
The Fleeb
There's several hizzards when changing strings
Watch out for Schlumbos
Getting a great composition like this form a bunch of random stuff is pure talent 😍😍
This was hilarious dude, and the song didn’t even sound terrible. I think you should definitely do this again, maybe try to find some more strange home made instruments that are unlike any common modern day instruments
Maybe one could salvage more out of the canjo by putting a contact mic or a piezzo pickup on it.
Great video :-)
That is pretty much one of the more common improvements to the canjo (or any one string instruments)...
That final track was actually weirdly fire but I guess that's on brand huh
Sounds like a song from some desert town in an older, korean MMORPG. The electronic drums combined with the fuzzy guitar + the canjo gave it a very cool vibe, while the kalimba rounded it off. The furby was...Also there, and made it that extra bit weird.
I LOVE IT. Seriously, that was an awesome song! I'd *love* to see you make this concept into a series.
That's very specific, what exactly are you referencing?
@@upshitdownshit4200 Something like Ragnarök Online? Idk, some korean MMOs just had very specific, weird OSTs and I love them.
I love how the Furby's face is also censored in the end. Probably for the best.
Am I the only one who was genuinely shocked by how good that song was? I was confident that anything made with those tools was going to be at best slightly better harsh noise. That canjo sounded insanely good! I'd definitely be down to see this again!
The bellowing wail, from the depths of his soul, actually made me laugh out loud (which is pretty hard to do) especially the way you said it. So, thank you Mr. Guitar Man!
Edit: Damn Sammy! That was an awesome tune! Why in the hell was furby's head pixelated at the end lol?
I was acutally a bit curious to see how an violently abused furby would sound as an musical intsrument. the "Du du du du du duuuuuu Bgiiiiigh" for the intro did not disappoint at all.
I'm so impressed with the quality of the track you came up with!
1:58 But you know **how** plumbuses are made?!
First, you take the dinglepop, and you smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then... repurposed for later batches.
Then you take the dinglebop and push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice.
Then a... Shlami shows up and he... rubs it, and spits on it.
Then you cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way.
The blaffs rub against the chumbles, and the plubus and grumbo are shaved away.
That leaves you, with a regular old plumbus!
Alternate Title: Making a King Gizzard song with things I bought on Etsy
that fuzz is fuzzy.... like, really fuzzy...🤘🏻
I wonder how it'll sound with that canjo !!!
I like how he blurs the furrbie at the end.
The result is really beautiful, I'd also like to hear a longer version of that track and I vote for you to do this again!
I'd be excited to see more of this!
This is wild - incredible use of artistic incorporation I love it
Soothing! Good job SG
This video deserves way more views. The song at the end is genuinely awesome.
Of all the musical pieces I've heard you make, I like this one the best. Keep up the great work.
That was way cooler than ever should have been possible. Bravo!
dude the concept is super cool i would love to see another vid like it and what u put together was fucking sick all things considered!!
i actually really liked the end result, please do more of these
the kalimba in particular I really liked the sound of
You definitely should make another one of these, that was great.
Very well done and interesting. I've been building unusual musical instruments for over 60 years so love this sort of thing. Thanks.
I really like this video, I hope you do do another one. I also think that electric thumb piano is amazing, what a sweet find!
That song was unironically fire... need a full version ASAP! 🤘🏻🔥🖤
Circuit bent Furbie? We can definitely track that one down to Look Mum no computer
Awsome Mr. Samurai. Keep rocking.
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻loved every second you put into making this🔥🔥🔥🔥
I can't take my eyes off of the background, your studio is sick as hell
Its really cool seeing you play outside your strengths. Id love to see another
Honestly my favorite song you’ve made. Even if you don’t do more videos with this schtick, it would be great to hear you branch out with your sound design and experimentation
I laughed out loud when the Furby came in... maybe it’s just me.. but I would watch a whole video of you with the furby - setting it up in random places to surprise people... having it there disrupting your video making process. Haha
Loved the song and the idea behind this video. I have to be honest - I wasn’t expecting to like the song as much as I did. Great work as always!
This was a very fun video. Would definitely watch another one.
Definitely do this experiment again. Very inspiring.
Nicely done. Thanks.
I really like the sound of that little amp, and the fuzz sounds awesome. Great song.
That was awesome!!! You have got to do this again man !!! Lol the talent level is insane.
love these types of videos
Please do another one of these. It's super fun.
Awesome! Thank you!!!!
Reminded me of newer Mario background music, I liked it
Yes we need another video like this I love the odd stuff
i love that song you made! the electronicness of the drums contrasts nicely with the extremely folksy canjo
You should do a video where you produce an entire song using a $500 budget for everything you need (except a computer).
Well done grasshopper ! Much respect and very entertaining. Cliff diving is always fun :)
That was really sick! Love the kind of mid eastern vibe to the song.
Dude, that was pretty cool. Thanks for putting in the time, I totally enjoyed it!
That rocked. You need to do this again 👍👍👍
Love this new series
This video made me subscribe to you. I can see that you got lots of interesting fun videos in your channel that I will watch in the next few hours and days. Thanks for the fun music! 🤘😊
This was sick! I'd love to see another one :)
Awesome! I love hearing music made with non-conventional instruments, kinda reminds me of an episode of Home Improvement where the construction workers make music out of their tools. For this tune, I thought it sounded great and had a japanese vibe with the canjo lick. I would have liked to hear more, but not sure if the standard youtube viewer has the attention span for it. The fuzz was the only thing that I didn't care for in this mix - it almost took up too much space where the other pieces fit nicely together. Do another one in a year!
That sounded like a mad intro to some kind of prog metal taken to an extreme. As weird as it was it was beautiful. Would love to see another vid like this
Lol peninsula
I absolutely want more of this
Track came out awesome 👌👏😎 great show.
Yessssss we've been talking about the plumbus fuzz on PbOD for ages lol so glad to see someone bought the full size version 😂🤣😂
Shoot that actually sounds good great job man!
great tune ! You are talented.
Yes yes do more of these types of videos they're entertaining for us Sammy.
The Skinned Furby and the One Samurai Band - 2022 album needs to happen right now :D
I about died laughing when the furby scared you and your cooking show analogy was amazing 😆 I also really liked what you played on the canjo it made me think of Scandinavian/Celtic folk music
Radio-friendly song for sure - lol. I honestly enjoyed the jam. This is where it's at - having fun with unusual instruments.
the tone out of that little amp is actually really pleasing
That's was really great. Make another video, I totally dig it.
The song is oddly brilliant! Well done.
It doesn't have to be things that you buy. But you can make it with everyday tools maybe like shovels etc. with theme like cooking utensils, gardening, etc. I just love to see a unique creative process while I don't understand any musical procedure.
So thanks for making a music creative process approachable
The song was so creative and sounded really good man!
Great video and a great melody
I knew you were good but I didn't expect the track to be that solid. Great work once again.
That Canjo part was pretty cool!!
I watch you move when you make music and I can tell you really feel the music.
Most impressed with the kalimba... and the tune you created! Hi! Good job-o san!
Love that green semi hollow fender.
Amazing the result!! Hahaha you rock dude!
I don’t comment often but I really love this idea and you should do more like it.
Great work man! This was some of the coolest s*** I've seen in a while.
I'd be so stoked if this became a series :D
Wooo it sound really cool!!
Would love to see this again
The Plumbus fuzz sounded really good actually! Cool video!
