OMG OMG OMG, I have been looking for this game for decades because when I used to be a child this was one of the first arcades I played buy never memorize the name. Million Thank´s. You Rock.
Holy crap I've been looking for this for years. They had it at the mall where I lived as a kid. For years I thought it was Gaiaopolis but that game didnt seem like what I remembered and I could've sworn it was a Data East game. This is it
Especially during those years Japanese developers were heavily inspired by Western fantasy but apparently couldn't resist from putting something of their country in. Even Capcom's Knights of the Round has you suddendly having a boss fight with a samurai.
Better question is *why is there almost always a ninja in fantasy games of yore but never any Chinese kung fu master?* Europeans came across the Chinese so many times in ancient times so it's more logical for a Chinese martial artist to appear in a western medeaval setting. Remember the Silk Road? Instead, they put in ninjas. I have no beef with ninjas (I'm actually a fan of them) but it doesn't make any sense when you think about it.
@@a_random_lizard Because they look fucking awesome and being called a Dragon Slayer is badass. It would be just as cool to play as the dragon taking down all those other demonic beasts, if you'd prefer.

Τhe eye tyrant is a beholder
The final boss is really called The Black Knight.
Question, how did you not get hurt from orthus blue flames? You walked through them yet took no damage?
@@ginidontthinkso4282 He's not gonna answer that.
@@0utrunner237 Why? I thought there was an exploit or an item touse...orthus is such as pain to dodge
Love this channel because it let's me discover so many great games I've never heard of
"I'm the wizard!" 🤣

And it's on the Switch now too!
The eye tyrant is a beholder
Eye tyrant is a frequently used epithet for a Beholder.
The Necromancer looks allot like the horned king from the Disney movie the black cauldron.
Both are based off of liches but yeah.
This is the last game Azusa Hara worked with before she passed away due to cancer in 1993
Watching this brings me back a few years. I love it. Keep up the good work👍
Man this game deserves to be ported to consoles too!
This as Gate of Doom and it's sequel Wizard Fire are on PS4
The Wizard heroine is clearly my girlfriend on a bad day.
Ok I played this in the arcade as a kid...yes I am that old...thank you for this
You know, I never understood it; why is there a ninja in a good chunk of these fantasy games?
Maybe they got lost heh

@@DavideGendo Also it's a videogame, it doesnt need to be historically accurate

Yes! I remember this game!! Been eluding me for YEARS!!!
Yeesh. The thumbnail looks like a cross between a beholder and the Legendary Black Beast of Aaargh.
And the final boss is a medieval Roomba?
Well, if they were going for a Monty Python tribute I think they nailed it then.
Monsters from the underworld!? Where is Sir Guy, Slayer of Doom when you need him!?
Ah those days when boss enemies took their own heads off to fight you..
that is creepy 7:00
2do dragón te conviertes en Rayo y a la cabeza, muere en una... Así como el dragón volador de la misma manera
Geile musik beim endboss.
9:12 18:21 What??? 🤔🤔
6:13 uhh..... okaaaay
We oinking good today!!
9:12 bug
I would've had the Dark Knight come before the Necromancer. Should've kept the big scary one you could give any power too for the final boss.
Metal Sonic Rebooted next?
amount of coins spent on this :)
Knight
Wizard
Bard
Ninja
*Makes sense to me*
It seems like you have another subscriber. Now guess who it is.
9:12 確定開了無敵外掛,難怪從頭到尾不損HP
I just hate how old school games keep making the player slaying dragons. What did dragons do that makes the player so exciting to kill them?
Bruh that's every game today
This is a medevil game
@@sluggy68 but I'm very offended how dragons were killed, just for the player's sadistic pleasure. Why must be dragons?
@@a_random_lizard Because they look fucking awesome and being called a Dragon Slayer is badass.

can you think any other classic mythical monster that is more awesome to fight against?
Great game
Why did you turn yourself into a pig

Pretty cool D&D wannabe.
