Any module would have to be reprogrammed unless you buy it used from the junk yard or order it from a shop that can programmers it for you or go back to the dealership. The dealership is the most expensive
Hello Wayne this was a great tutorial on accessing the SAM. I think many of us enthusiasts would like to know how to replace or repair the panoramic roof tracks or plastic shoes. If you could make that tutorial many of us would appreciate it. It is a common issue with these models.
Dear sir i enjoy your Videos its very usefully , i have s class 2014 w222 first edition back seat like Maybach it does not have amplifier in the trunk, the audio system is basic with no sub, do you have an idea how to route signal wire from inside the car to the trunk. Thanks
So my 2017 s550 was stolen from me and they cut wires in the roofing of my car. Now I cant push start, only can use the key fob. I connected a few of the wires and fixed things like my back windows. But its a few more wires I have to connect but bone of them are the same colors. How can I find a diagram for which wires go to which?
Very good Wayne , you make great videos, My W222 doors when opened don't trigger the internal car light , the light actually works with the overhead button when in the car. I take it this could be a SAM issue ?

I would start with a new battery or see if it gets juice.Hook up a charger, And see if lights on dashboard come on. See what got wet in the trunk. Replace it if you can without breaking the bank. If your bold bring it to your trusted mechanic outside the Dealership. Tell him what happened and have him give you an estimate. It would be a lot cheaper to recover the car than buying a new one

Speak to Mercedes to see if it can be done first, before venturing on that. The parts department would be a great place to start or a Mercedes Mechanic at a dealership.
Some of your steps to change stuff is very risky well I’m not judge but Im a yr subscriber well it’s better to disconnect the battery 1st good job Keep rolling
I got the notes from my electronic manual. That is where most of my videos instructions come from. If you don't want to purchase the manual you can Google search it

It can be done, but you should watch installing a home theater on a Mercedes 2016 S550 video first.

You will probably need to get the electronic manual from Ebay and install it on your computer. You can search the manual for what you need
Will the Sam also be located in the very back in a 2008 G500?
Every car is different. You have to check the electronic maintenance manual
Is it possible to reprogram the SAM module for US cars so the rear amber LEDs flash when using the turn signals instead of the red brake light LEDs?
I've never heard of that being done before, but anything is possible. It will probably be better if you get a 3rd party device for that
Ok, thanks. I was told the amber LEDs are already in the tail lamp assembly but US cars are not programmed for them to operate, only European models.

Sure you can but you will have to buy it used. The used on is already programmed
