I am a brand new oil painter. Never done it before in my life. I followed along as best I could with Bob on my first painting and you guys, I can't believe how easy it was to follow his techniques and actually produce something worth looking at! The man was a genius. He had such a gift for teaching art to the world. I know we all know this, but I'm just very thankful for him.
He really was amazing. I don't have the tools for oil painting but I've followed some of his techniques with temperas and it still really helped me! I got to make a lovely card for my partner that way.

The segment in this episode with Peapod the squirrel, was out right adorable. I was squeeing so hard from seeing that. It reminded me of my own cat that plays with me and actually scratches me up a little bit from roughhousing playfully. Nonetheless, this painting was a beauty. The way that Bob did the sky and make the mountains have a purpleish tone to it, in addition to the breaking with the highlighting, made it one of the better mountains that he's painted. The highlight of this painting in my Opinion were the hills, you could see a lot of gradient from green to orange and it made a nice fall kind of a painting. The row of trees gave me an interesting idea because of how it was curved. It gave another layer that split down the middle and also made it have a point of view to it. All-around a lovely painting one of the better ones of the season, I really enjoyed it :) _* I hope you all enjoyed reading my Happy Little Review~*_

The row of trees gave me an interesting idea because of how it was curved. It gave another layer that split down the middle and also made it have a point of view to it. All-around a lovely painting one of the better ones of the season, I really enjoyed it :)
