AFTER I PICKED UP A BIT I HEADED OUT TO THE LOCAL HILLS, IN CASE I HAD TO QUIT. STILL COUGHING SO I HAD TO TAKE IT EASY, A NICE WALK TO THE CAMP SPOT, SAW SOME GOATS AND HAD DECENT WEATHER, A BIT CHILLY OVERNIGHT BUT IT ALL TURNED OUT WELL. GOOD START TO THE YEARS ADVENTURES.

Hi Andy, good to see you out. There's been a horrible virus going around, not sure what variants but my family and I've had a whooping type cough with extreme breathlessness so good on you for getting out there and fighting off the lurgy. One of those gliders has crashed on the Cheviots, seen a pic on Blamhof, Mick's RUclips channel. Those Cheviot goats are interesting subjects to film, I will return to get more of them, not as cute as flossy the sheep but loneliness means any port in a storm if you know what I mean.
Cheers Damien been watching you in the woods of doom like. I had the worst time at new year. No idea what it was. 400 miles from home stuck in the van. Nasty. Nightmare about the glider like. Scary them. The Cheviots goats 🐐 are always wherever I go. It’s as if they “know” we must have a catch up camp soon mate. Drop a line. Atb 👍
@rdleI fancy a change, maybe do more hill camps as I like the idea of photographing the stars. You only get the glimpse of the odd star in the forest and the spookiness gets a hold of you after a while. I'm watching for clear sky nights and will definitely be out so will let you know as its been a while, need a catch up, ATB mate.

You should try Gliding. Duel control, the pilot sits behind you, also you get to wear a parachute. Good to see you you oot again Mandingo. you know it makes sense......right!

I transport my buns in a Tupperware or equivalent plastic storage tub. The storage tub only weighs a couple ounces, not really all that much more to pack about.
Yeah sounds a good idea. I’ll look into it. Nothing worse than squashed buns. Oooh. 😂😂. 👍
Happy New year Andy. I was camped up on Wester tor on Saturday night for my first camp of 2024. Was a chilly one but those clear skies and stars were amazing! 👌 ATB!
Brilliant. I nearly continued to wester like. The stars were great. I took my camera in about 4:30 and the rain came. Mixed bag like. Was a good night though. Atb 👍

Had a glider go over our town a few weeks ago that had an engine on it, first one I have seen, sounded like a paraglider at first till I looked outside. Ya first camp for 2024 seamed to go well bro even though you are still a wee bit under the weather. Safe travels. Ken.

Gliding is good fun and gives cracking views. Can be a bit scary if you have to land in a farmers field miles away from where you took off from. I've been up to 17000 feet and had to wear an oxygen mask. There were people higher than that though. Give it a go.
I’ll stick to the 150 seat 💺 planes 😂 I saw one crash in a field once. It just came down really heavy. That was my mind made up 😂😂😂

Plenty vitamin D in my diet. I’m not a great tablet person. I’m tip top now. Camp has sorted me out. Atb 👍

I know how you feel kidda, I still got the friggen cough but 0 - 3 always helps. I flew once in a glider but was a tight squeeze what with the toilet and the drinks trolly ............
