      Congratulations! Thank you for the comment really helps the channel. Now you are legal. There are so many illegal pilots out there. The reason I got my 107 was because having a monetized youtube channel. I recently attended ground school. I couldn't believe how much having a 107 prepared me for the private pilot knowledge test. The test are so similar.

      Do you remember what the majority of the questions were about?

    • @outdoorswithcam
      @outdoorswithcam  Год назад

      @twp more than half the question were about sectional and airspace. If you can read a sectional all the rest is common seance and you would pass. There wasn't any lat or long. The one question was how far something was from airport. Just measure with ruler on chart. You do need to know frequencies. Tons of risk management. Three on remote ID. Weights and classes of drones. Two meters but they were like what time ws it issued. The actual test booket is on faa website. No traffic patterns. It wasn't really that hard.not as hard as I thought it would be. If you can read a sectional you'll pass or be able to figure it out with the sectional legion.

      I agree 100%. That is why I made these couple of videos. Everyone thinks you need to buy a course. I think I would have passed without study. There are only three answers. Half were so simple. Common sense. Then 1/4 were out of material. then 1/4 were real hard not in book but you have 33% to just random;y pick answer. If you could eliminate one answer then you got a 66% of picking right. In my video where I go through the FAA book I show that you really only need to know a 1/3 of that book. I always think practice test were a waste of time because you are not going to get same questionon test. Spend your time reading FAA book. All I did was read the FAA book. Highlight stuff. Go back and read what I highlighted. Went and took test. Some people want to be spoon feed. Not learn on their own. What someone to hold their hand. I see it everyday in the world. Thanks for the comment!

    Frequency questions shouldnt even be asked. Were not in no means supposed to know or have a ham license to fly a drone or a airplane. Matyer of fact airplane Frequency is in the cb band lower then channel 1 on a standard cb radio. And now days we dont even use cb or am Frequency we use digital p25 radios that use between 600 and 900 ghz. These test r so outdated they r so dumb and people r even more ignorant if thwy think we use Frequency 125.000 now lmfao. Go to that Frequency and see if u hear anything but static from garage door openers and tv remotes. The faa pisses me off extremely well

    • @outdoorswithcam
      @outdoorswithcam  7 месяцев назад +1

      You will have 3-4 questions on Radio frequency. Couple of them you can pull off the sectional. I think the one question I missed was what frequency will planes be using at a same airport if its not listed on sectional. Its in the study guide. Its your responsibility to avoid collision with aircraft. If you are operating near an airport without a controlled air space you should have a radio to monitor. I was doing a roof job the other day downtown and a News helicopter came by. I use my ears instead of a radio. Some pilots don't use a radio when they are landing if its uncontrolled airspace. Aircraft radios have nothing to do with Ham radio. completely different frequencies.

    • @outdoorswithcam
      @outdoorswithcam  7 месяцев назад

      Aircraft use same frequencies they did years ago. VHF 118.00-135.000 MHZ
      Lots of aircraft like 172 could be still using the same radios from the 60s or 70s. I know lots of people with 1965 172s... typically 122.900 or 122.950. Other less common UNICOM frequencies are 122.700, 122.725, 122.800, 122.975, 123.000, 123.050, or 123.075 MHz

    • @outdoorswithcam
      @outdoorswithcam  7 месяцев назад

      @@w.e.s. I don't understand your comment. There is nothing to decrypt. Its VHF radio which is line of sight radio. There is nothing to decrypt or digital. Its the same VHF freq they have been using since the 50s. How far is the closest airport to you? Go to skyvector and find your location and look up the closest airport. But remember VHF radio is line of sight and radio waves leave antennas perpendicular. Just like marine radio. With marine radios @25 watts they only go what 10 miles unless you get elevation. That is why alot of boats have 8 foot antennas. Coast guard high sites are 1000 foot tall that way they can talk 100 miles. Line of sight and curvature of the earth. So a plane in the air could talk to someone 100 miles away but if you were on the ground your signal will only go 10 miles and would be blocked by hills of building.
