Thank you for doing this after the test and sharing notes. There are barely any updated test videos within the year.
Thank you for the comment!
Thanks so much for this info... I was about to take my test and after seeing your video was able to refresh on some key points that I ended up seeing on the test. Passed! 🙂
Congratulations! Thank you for the comment really helps the channel. Now you are legal. There are so many illegal pilots out there. The reason I got my 107 was because having a monetized youtube channel. I recently attended ground school. I couldn't believe how much having a 107 prepared me for the private pilot knowledge test. The test are so similar.
Just took the test today 3/11/2023 and got a 90% on the test! Woohoo!
Congratulations! Which Questions did you miss? Did you think it was hard? Now you get to wait 2+ months for your plastic. The FAA Iacra website crashed couple days ago and they lost a couple days. The only reason I got it was for this youtube channel since I am monetized. Again Congratulations!
Do you remember what the majority of the questions were about?
@twp more than half the question were about sectional and airspace. If you can read a sectional all the rest is common seance and you would pass. There wasn't any lat or long. The one question was how far something was from airport. Just measure with ruler on chart. You do need to know frequencies. Tons of risk management. Three on remote ID. Weights and classes of drones. Two meters but they were like what time ws it issued. The actual test booket is on faa website. No traffic patterns. It wasn't really that hard.not as hard as I thought it would be. If you can read a sectional you'll pass or be able to figure it out with the sectional legion.
I took free online test questions, studied the guide and a week... scheduled my test. Scored an 85 on first attempt.
Everyone makes it seem like rocket science but it's not as difficult as everyone makes it out to be
I agree 100%. That is why I made these couple of videos. Everyone thinks you need to buy a course. I think I would have passed without study. There are only three answers. Half were so simple. Common sense. Then 1/4 were out of material. then 1/4 were real hard not in book but you have 33% to just random;y pick answer. If you could eliminate one answer then you got a 66% of picking right. In my video where I go through the FAA book I show that you really only need to know a 1/3 of that book. I always think practice test were a waste of time because you are not going to get same questionon test. Spend your time reading FAA book. All I did was read the FAA book. Highlight stuff. Go back and read what I highlighted. Went and took test. Some people want to be spoon feed. Not learn on their own. What someone to hold their hand. I see it everyday in the world. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for taking the time to record this. Iooking at cataract surgery next month. Hate to postpone my 107 test but maybe I will.
If they put you in same spot to take test as they put me and you have cataract you would have a problem. It was so dark in that cubicle. The computer screen was fine its the small print in the test booklet. I recommend a magnifying glass
I'm having a consult for cataract surgery in August but I'm still taking the test next month because I tried using a lighted magnifying glass and it really helps!
@@LawnBunny777 Check with your testing center. They only allow you to take in approved stuff. You have to empty all your pockets and put in locker. Magnify glass is allowed BUT must be an approved one. So I don't know what is...
@@outdoorswithcam Thanks! Yeah that's weird about it having to be "approved". Like maybe they check for a secret compartment in it? I mean, I have 4 magnifying glasses of different types I might take them all in and hope at least one is "approved".
@Lawn Bunny I know you are aloud to use one. I am just saying what she said. After I took it they wanted comments. She put me in a dark corner. No light over head. Must be 30 cubicles in room. Desk was only big enough for keyboard then there was a separate pedestal for the mouse. So all the booklet stuff I had to hold in my hands. There was no room to lay it on desk. Just saying... their layout was just answer questions on computer not lay book out on desk. But yet half the questions ask about figure such and such. I highly recommend you look at it before you test. The test booklet is on FAA websites
Just passed with a 87%, Please do not let him make you nervous. He did me, for no reason. Take all the free tests for the most part in will allow you to pass the Part 107 test. Good luck to all.
Congratulations! Sorry if I scared you. The point of the video was to say you don't have to pay hundreds of dollars for some course. Just read the FAA manual

Feb '24 - I scored a 95.
Congratulations! Well done! What questions did you miss?
Thank you for helping others with this video. The only Study Guide I find is from 2016; is that the one you used? If so I guess there have been changes since and other material to look for.
yup thats it. Just read the law and thats on the FFA website. The only changes are remote ID, flight over people and clallifaction of drones. There is executive summary and final rule. Link below. There was one question on classification of drone category and flight over people.
Everything you need to know is in that study guide and this link...

Also Sir can you share some of your notes with me please...
I’ve heard that they give you that legend when you take the test.. is that correct?
Yes. Go to the FAA website an download the test booklet. You can download the same booklet they give you at test site. Become familiar with it. Especially metar and taf. It's all there...
I can not find the faa study guide. I went to the psa place they aint got it never had it. I went to my local college they give out the test on certain days. I aint got it and never seen 1. Where tf is it!!!!! Lmao nm. I just found ur link. Haha this is nuts everything is online now days. I was taught dont ever rely on computers and now u cant rely on anybody without them. THANK YOU!!!

Hello, Can you tell me how to purchase a hard copy of the study guide?
I would like to have it in my hand rather then online , for my it would be easier to learn that way
It's on FAA website. Burn to discuss and take to office depot and have them print. That's what I did. Here is video going through it. ruclips.net/video/eAIWEkzf8yg/видео.htmlsi=t29Nv9jMSQi2cvld

Hello I am having a hard time finding a place to test in my state , can you point me in the right direction. When I do a search for it I seem to get a bunch of third party groups wanting money for a training course.
Thank you for your help
Psi testing centers are only official testing center. You must start at FAA website and get number just like any pilots license.
I had to drive 100 miles to college testing center. It is what it is...
Frequency questions shouldnt even be asked. Were not in no means supposed to know or have a ham license to fly a drone or a airplane. Matyer of fact airplane Frequency is in the cb band lower then channel 1 on a standard cb radio. And now days we dont even use cb or am Frequency we use digital p25 radios that use between 600 and 900 ghz. These test r so outdated they r so dumb and people r even more ignorant if thwy think we use Frequency 125.000 now lmfao. Go to that Frequency and see if u hear anything but static from garage door openers and tv remotes. The faa pisses me off extremely well
You will have 3-4 questions on Radio frequency. Couple of them you can pull off the sectional. I think the one question I missed was what frequency will planes be using at a same airport if its not listed on sectional. Its in the study guide. Its your responsibility to avoid collision with aircraft. If you are operating near an airport without a controlled air space you should have a radio to monitor. I was doing a roof job the other day downtown and a News helicopter came by. I use my ears instead of a radio. Some pilots don't use a radio when they are landing if its uncontrolled airspace. Aircraft radios have nothing to do with Ham radio. completely different frequencies.
Aircraft use same frequencies they did years ago. VHF 118.00-135.000 MHZ
Lots of aircraft like 172 could be still using the same radios from the 60s or 70s. I know lots of people with 1965 172s... typically 122.900 or 122.950. Other less common UNICOM frequencies are 122.700, 122.725, 122.800, 122.975, 123.000, 123.050, or 123.075 MHz
@@outdoorswithcam I study radio have for 2 years and if u go to those channels only thing I can decrypt is static. I can get military and even fast food chains but no airplanes ever unfortunately
@@w.e.s. I don't understand your comment. There is nothing to decrypt. Its VHF radio which is line of sight radio. There is nothing to decrypt or digital. Its the same VHF freq they have been using since the 50s. How far is the closest airport to you? Go to skyvector and find your location and look up the closest airport. But remember VHF radio is line of sight and radio waves leave antennas perpendicular. Just like marine radio. With marine radios @25 watts they only go what 10 miles unless you get elevation. That is why alot of boats have 8 foot antennas. Coast guard high sites are 1000 foot tall that way they can talk 100 miles. Line of sight and curvature of the earth. So a plane in the air could talk to someone 100 miles away but if you were on the ground your signal will only go 10 miles and would be blocked by hills of building.
Where did you get the faa study guide in bound trike that
. Congratulations passing your 107.
I copied it to a disk off the FAA website. Took it to office depo and had them print double pages and bound it. I probable used my discount card where they print for 2.2 cents a page. Don't remember how much the binding was. The only thing NOT in the guide was a question about how low a Victor airway goes. It was about operateing under a Victor. Also there was nothing in the guide about Remote ID.

Yeah, this was my question too. Where did your bound typed notes come from? I wondered if it was purchased, picked up, or made. Impressive dedication there to have it made, I would like to make some typed printed notes. Perhaps printing at staples is cheaper than using ink from your own printer.
@James-qo7uz downloaded from FAA website burned to disc and took to office depo to have printed.double sided half price. I have card where the print for 2.2 cents/page. Way cheaper than my own ink. All your question will come out of this...

If you make more than a 70 it just means you studied too much.
True... I think I could have gotten a 70% by no even studying. Its all just common sense. I think it almost impossible to get 100%. I really didn't study or memorize anything just read the FAA study guide. Thousands of people are paying $250 to take these course I see adds for every time I get on youtube or facebook. That was the point of the video. Just read an 80 page FAA guide and you will pass. I thought about makeing a class where I read the study guide to them for $150 like these courcse do...
