Have you ever heard of using cold press glue in place of the water resistant gasket to re seal the new screen? if so what are the pros / cons? i have been told by someone that they use CPG and highly recommended it. thanks
I stopped offering anything but refurbished about a month ago, best move ever reli, even though I've lost about 10% of my customers.
Hey Mandy my original samsung galaxy tab battery drained dead, I left and alarm going un checked and it drains the battery and it must have been low as it ain't charge anymore after that alarm drained the battery dead
I read that I can take back off and UN plug battery plug back in and charge and it should be good to go
Any advice before I try, it's the very first model of the 10 inch tabs

Great video! We only use Original Refurb or GX soft in all our OLED repairs. We have found the LCD or Hard OLED has way to many problems. For the amount we repair the fault rate is very low 🙂

Question- what about qualities of the front glass? How do they compare to OEM Original screens? (Durability, scratch resistance, and such)
The glass itself *can* be as good as original but a lot of things go into it. Imagine a big piece of thick glass on a flat surface, if you walked on it then it would not break. If you now put a small rock under one corner of the glass and walk on the other side of it then it would have a weak spot there and crack. When building the screen you need to make sure each layer and step is perfect for it to be used long term by a user.

Good afternoon, I have a motorola edge 20 pro with the same problem green screen right when I turn it on and after that if I press the power button the screen is drizzly, I bought a screen but the defect remained the same as the original screen I wanted to know if it has something to do with the sensor because if I put light close to the sensor the screen is clearer.
I had 5years experience working in big brand authorized service(L3 service), then resign to open my own business, now i close it and changes to new business ,all because this problem, today's phone are more advanced and the spare parts slow to catch up , full of problems and stress nowadays to open repair shop
How do explain to the customers about the prompt that will show up after u replace the original screen?
I point out that the message is Apples version of “Your HP printer ink must be replaced”. People are conditioned to hate and ignore printer ink messages, so they transfer that annoyance with the manufacturer to Apple.

I give people the option - I make OEM refurbished *and* aftermarket screen replacements available, priced accordingly and THEY make the choice as to how much they pay. 80% of people go with the aftermarket screens, knowing that I tell them that - like everything else is life - the lesser price generally means lesser quality. By giving them that choice, it takes some of the responsibility off of me, other than my choice of hard or soft aftermarket OLED. And BTW, I refurbish my own screens up to the 8 Plus - the finickiness of the X and above makes me skittish... 😉
My phone is doing this now. The screen was coming off and I tried to put it back in. Now it’s a green flash
What I have notice. On the bottom of the frame, there is a notch that goes between the glass and flex on the screen. This notch helps to keep the frame attached. If this notch is to big or has sharp edges. It can cause the flex damage he is talking about. When refurbishing the screen you must remove the frame from the top to bottom. But make sure you loosen the bottom then slide the frame off from the bottom. Pulling the frame up will pinch the flex causing the black corners, green lines and every other defect. This trick also helps to keep the digitizer working. But not alway.

Did the customer recieve a new soft oled under warranty? I have had so many unhappy customers even after installing the best of oled screens available just because they break easily. Most of the times there are cracks in the under layer of the oled assembly which can be seen under bright light at a certain angle. These ones obviously suffered physical shock by the user. But comparatively their tolerance to break point is very low. I always have to let customers know that screens starting from ipx line up are way more fragile compared to the screens for models before ipx. The supplier would say its a physical damage and would not honor a warranty replacement. Obviously. I sometimes end up paying for a new screen for the customer because on the face of it there is absolutely no physical damage whatsoever. Apart from the glue gasket, I later also started gluing all around the screen to the frame so that the in case of any physical hit the whole housing should aslo share the shock instead of just the screen. Its hard for the customer to pay again for a new screen and its hard for the store to give new screen under warranty when they themselves cant exchange the screen under warranty since the screens are not cheap..

Thanks Jessa. Great seeing a collab from across the pond. I wouldn't think an OLED designed phone would be able to support a LCD type display. But i guess you can design an LCD panel with the boost circuitry small enough to fit in an OLED iPhone. Whether that option is safe for you or your phone is up for debate. BTW, Did you ask for his take on the whole prince Harry /Meghan Markle thing? Is Meghan an aftermarket LCD screen trying to live in an OEM OLED world? 🤪🤣

I know that Europe is introducing a Right To Repair law, but will that mean that manufactures will now make things that cannot be repaired at all and only offer and exchange service. With the exception of blaming the customer as misuse of the product and making them buy a new completely new one.

@iPad Rehab Hi Jessa is Mario from Canada I don't know if you remember me your old student, i do some refurbish screen here I have many machines for a customers I used only refurbish screen without any issue I know Rick good guy in a Facebook group, the art for refurbish screen have many fragile steps from heat, oca quality, adhesive quality like Ricky say cold press for frames for the issues you tell about the screen apple messages when you used after market screen with the chip you talk is very important apple used that chip to match with the machine ID you know apple, if you take soft OLED and you replace that chip from the original chip that problem is gone

But what was the problem with the customers iphone screen?
Likely flex, could be a faulty screen or could have been dropped by customer. The displays are delicate and expensive.
