I love your energy and your vibe. I hope that you’re doing well . Had my surgery weeks ago and doing and feeling well. I will have my check up soon. Not looking forward to the speculum part but I’m glad I had this done.

Thank you so much for the compliment! I am very glad to hear that you're doing well. I had the same fear about the speculum, but honestly, it was not painful or even memorable (which is a good thing in this case). The dr checked to make sure I was healing properly and it only took a few moments. I hope that you also have an easy experience. I'm sending you lots of love and well wishes!

You are so precious ❤ I hope I feel the way you do @ my 6 week check up. Had my hysterectomy last week and it sent me into a lupus flare. Thank you for the information!

Hi Ari, the doctor used the speculum (like what's used during a pap smear) to open and look inside. She then inserted her fingers and felt to ensure the suture was healing properly. She gently pressed my abdomen with fingers inserted. If pap smears / pelvic exams are traumatic for you, consider going to another doctor. When I was younger, I had doctors who were not gentle enough and I didn't understand that pelvic exams could be performed gently. Don't be afraid to speak up for yourself or go to another doctor. Pelvic exams should not be traumatic. I am wising you all the best! xoxo
