Hey guys, I didn't go into the autofocus in the video because both lenses were identical in speed and noise, hope you enjoy the video anyway!

I agree to the final conclusion. I have the EF lens and it is not worth to substitute it by RF.

I have a question, sorry if I sound dumb! But I don’t know nothing about camaras. An I bought a canon M50 to take pictures at my kids... what I wanted to know is if I can use the Rf 50mm with my Canon M50?

Hi Ana, Unfortunately you cant use the rf50mm with the M50, the way around this is to get a Canon EF-M to EF adaptor and get the EF 50mm F1.8 STM Lens, which will cost you almost the same as the RF 50mm F1.8 STM Lens. Hope this helps.

If I do not have any lenses and have RF camera. Wouldn’t it be better to buy EF with adaptor at almost the same price of RF. Coz this may keep doors open for me to buy next lense to be from EF family if I am right on budget for RF. e.g. 70-200

Yes certainly. This is a good option to keep cost down 🙂
