  • A 3d printed plastic box, attached to your vacuum cleaner will help you out with solder stenciling when making electronics.
If you want to download your own. You can make STL files for your application here:
    colab.research.google.com/dri...
You can also download a Fusion F3D version of the box here. But it does not have a vacuum adapter.
    drive.google.com/file/d/18Eb_...
STL files can be grabbed from this link as a compressed zip file.
    drive.google.com/file/d/139us...

I'm also making a bigger version of this box. Might come out within a couple of weeks. If you know how to model this entire box. And especially the springs in Openscad. Let me know!

I'm so pissed that this flew under the radar. The tool in Collab is INSANELY helpful. I seriously can't thank you enough for the time you've put into this. I'm working on adding a honeycomb pattern to the top panel so it'll be resin printer-friendly as well, so I'll shoot that your way when done, if interested!

This is cool! Post it to printables, and I am sure you will earn some free spools of prusament soon :)

Looks good! Is this a better replacement version of your Magik Box V3 from previous videos?

Yes and no. I made this machine before i made the boxes. So this works better than the boxes. But requires framed stencil and a lot more parts. So the box is some kind of child of this machine actually. Hehe ;)

Haha. Now a bit later. I see i answered the comment as it was a comment on another video. The real answer on your comment. Is "yes". But its optimized for smaller boards.

How do I use this for any larger panels like say 150x150mm? The google colab program seems to just provide a box with a fixed size and doesnt generate holder parts properly if the PCB panel is larger than 50x50 mm,

I generated the stls thank to your google website. My PCB is 60 x 60 x 1.6mm and it looks like the PCB might not fit. Is there a max size for this stencil vacuum box? The PCB holder for example is just one square without any place to put the PCB. Is there a larger version or should I use the V3 design for my larger PCB. Anyways thank you for your awesome projects.

Hey. thanks :) Yes it is. If you want a bigger box you need to download the fusion 360 version and use that to make a bigger box. Its been some time since i made it but I'm pretty sure that's what needs to be done ')

Clever solution to have the files on colab.
But it's not really working for me.
I have viewscad install, but it still complain it can't import viewscad. When generating the part files, it complain width "name 'r' is not defined". I'm using Firefox.
Maybe it would be good to update Github so issues can be recorded there?

Yeah it was kinda experiment. Did yiu restart the runtime? Im gonna update github as well. Or make a new repo. Not sure what is best. Its possible to get the openscad string from the colab as well. If you click view code. Just have to manually enter the variables.

How can I get the stl file of the top box cover?

It should be in the package in the link. Or did you mean the small for the pcb?
