Pyraminx Tutorial: 1-Flip Method

Read this.
Ok, so here is how I am going to give you the algs: first letter= which center you should place the edge over, then I will put a "/" And tell you which way each center needs to twisted (cw=clockwise ccw=counterclockwise). The alg will be directly below this notation.

Just do solves and try to predict everything but the LL. Now is also a good time for you to start finding the best method for each scramble. :)

I kept trying to tell people that all they needed was R' U L' and L U' R, but they kept telling me to make a tutorial :p. I also wanted to add a part to this vid explaining how easy the algs are to memorize, but the video got too long.

Don't do the B moves, rotate so that the alg is R Dw L and U. I decided to notate the algs as rotationless because they would get really complicated to write out otherwise. probably won't make a video since it's all just wristing.

You just do a 2-flip with that edge some other edge. You should really avoid it in inspection though.

Predict the orientation of the centers to avoid that case. all you can do to solve it is a 2 flip.

Why should you be so much faster with 1-flip than with keyhole? I mean, in Keyhole, you have to insert the last piece for the first layer, but thats not much time. And in 1-Flip you have to set 1 more piece in the correct spot (the flipped one)
So whats the big difference?

good question. Basically, you have to look ahead with keyhole and you end up with some pauses, also with keyhole you cannot predict easily where the last edge will end up, so you get bad cases a lot. 1-flip is not a magical remedy, but it's a much better method for advanced solving than keyhole is.

Yea I noticed when i solve KeyHole I take FOREVER to inspect and predict i have a sub 10 average and like 50% of the time is pauses xD

No lol. WO is a really slow method. Except for the one center cases, WO is not necessary at all. I don't actually know all the algs, only the ones that are half decent.
