    when we write the date - the day and the month, after the number we also put the preposition of. Examples:the eleventh of March - the first of the month

    Hello, Alisha. There is any classes talking about situations where we do not use the word "of".
    For example, why do the people in english the people say:
    KITCHEN SINK and not SINK OF THE KITCHEN ?
    BARBECUE GRILL and not GRILL OF THE BARBECUE ?

    I've always thought about 'of' in the past. But then I realized that thinking about the rules while talking is really unnecessary and ridiculous. For example, I have always seen the word 'full' with an 'of', and this made me use it without thinking about it. ☺️
