I’m a TB Rogue at level 93. I’ve rerolled my board 3 times now in the attempt to perfect it. If you’re worried about your board, just save up gold and don’t be afraid to try different things. It can be confusing but your first attempt isn’t the end all be all.
@@gershcz No they are not. Just unclick the entry and keep unselecting them until you are back onto the previous board. Once you do that, you can then change to a different board or rotate it, or whatever.
@@gershcz nah, not permanent. I hadn’t even realized I could rotate a board before placing it until after I’d already set it down, then watched a build video later. Just a little tedious to manually undo each and every node individually in a chain…

Vulnerable damage is possible the best stat in the game, as long as you have a consistent way to make rooms vulnerable. For this reason, I always take Exploit first.
I needed to help a new player understand how to even get started on paragon boards. This was so much better than me trying to explain in text. Thank you!
The skill tree and paragon board could really benefit from highlighting a skill as a goal. An example that comes to mind is Nioh 2 where it allows you to do this.
Also a rogue here (53), I use a ranged rapid fire build; I fully understand the power of vulnerability but have yet to find a very effective way to proc multiple enemies. I’m using penetrating shot (I’m sure I should be using puncture but I don’t like the range). Been trying to avoid many build guides but just unlocked paragon board, this was helpful!
One thing that should be added is that the rare nodes are usually additive and the legendary nodes can multiplicative. So early on the rare nodes are amazing but as you level up the diminishing returns kick in quite fast. Another perk of the legendary nodes early on is that they aren't conditional, so you just get the effect. So something like Glyphs are weak early but get very powerful later once you can level them up. So what you value is more so dependent on your level and changes as you progress

I highly recommend the first one being the one that boosts rare runes by 240%. This ads alot of armor, stats and damage. For the others just go for what fits the build. Take a Shadow Necro, Control is good and Scourge. Control is because you can cc alot and that glyph increases your damage when you do. Scourge increase your shadow dps. So just follow this same strategy for other classes, the names vill vary.
Great. You explained the strategy of the board. What no one discusses is something really simple: How do you utilize (substitute? swap out?) magic glyphs in your collection to replace the ones on the board. Drag and drop doesn't work. This is like a driving instructor saying, "give it some gas" without explain where your feet go on the pedals. Basics before strat, M'friend.
I'm level 61 and just found out about the crafting of nightmare keys to level up the sigils, I barely play as to avoid burn out but now I'm excited about making some progress when I do play.
As a pulverize werebear druid, i dump stuff into willpower mostly, some intelligence and dexterity. I do have glyphs to inflict vulnerable damage, increase damage while in werebear form and others. I'm following a meta werebear guide and its going extremely well, i can do stuff ten levels over my level and more, tons of survivability.
@Dyrnwynn Yes, ten levels over people sleep on the survivability of Werebear, it's not a DPS build but you can basically tank anything directly to the face and do a ton of burst damage
you should be using a paragon planning tool if you're serious about efficiency of points, it will allow you to successfully position your boards in the order you wish and properly set yourself up for satisfaction of the secondary bonuses that you want.
First time Diablo player. I just got to level 50 and finished the game. Holy moly is this confusing. Then there are vampiric powers and gear that has amazing passives for my whirlwind but shows considerably less attack power when I equip it. I need a nerd!
That must mean you don't have an understanding of your class and what stats it needs in order to perform better. The paragon board is just another way to get stats in order to improve your build, just like equipping gear.
I'm a level 70 necromancer and did all the alter of Lilith which gives you 68 skill points for dexterity, 68 intelligence, 68 strength and 68 will power so I'm not wasting gained skill points to make up for it. You also get skill 4 skill points for finishing regions.
I was literally looking for this guide yesterday. I basically never touched the gateway node, because I thought once I unlocked it, the next board would just appear, so when it didn't, I assumed I was missing something and just kept putting my points into the first board. I kept looking up how to get new boards, but never found any information, which finally made me realize I'm just retarded and never actually tried clicking the gateway node.
I am not sure if this was mentioned, but certain boards can get the second glyph bonus with a level 1 glyph and others cannot depending on which stats it uses. The boards I picked for my Necro can get the 25 bonus before I level the glyph to 15.
They really need to lower the cost to respec. It's stupid that you get penalized for trying new things or even worse them changing the way something works that you were spec'd into and having to pay to adjust to the new changes.

This may have been answered in the vid, and I just missed it but how do I level my glyphs in order to gain radius. Also say a glyph requires 40 intelligence if I had more than 40 would it impact it at all?
So the second board is the most important. So is better to get all the nodes u want in it before u move on to 3rd board? Is it bad if I decide to get alot of nodes on second board? Also is possible to get every node on single board? Sorry new to diablo
It's most important in terms of you have to make a conscious decision about which one you pick and how you rotate it compared to the first board which is actually more powerful per point you put into it but it's fixed both in terms of which board you start with and how it's rotated and it's more densely packed with good nodes making the first a lot easier to navigate and harder to mess up.

I selected a board with a no nodes that fit my playstyle because I didn't know you could choose. Kinda sucks that you can't reverse it. EDIT: it looks like you CAN reverse it simply by refunding all nodes on a board, thank Inarius

It depends on the board. You'll have to save that Glyph to use in a board that lots of the stats you need around the Glyph slot. If the Glyph gives additional bonus to having more of a stat around it, make sure to use that Glyph in a board with lots available. That way you can boost your Glyph even more by putting excess points into the stat.
Sorcerer legendary notes are mainly garbage :( And only 3 Nodes to increase maximum Mana a tiny bit, whereas Druid gets a whole Board full of Spirit increase + spirit on kill :D
You simply add them by reaching & clicking on one of the exit nodes, that you see at the end of every board, then you pick a new board. Only the first one has only one way out, the others have four. Depending on how many of the available 158 points (I don’t exactly remember the number), which you get via leveling, grinding renown and finding Altars of Lilith you spend, usually players and most builds stick to 4-5 of them.

Don’t just chase legendary nodes, rare nodes are extremely powerful when you level up the right Glyph node. A level 21 (max) Adept Glyph node can give you a whopping 118.00% Mastery Skills Damage increase. Let that sink in.

Unfortunately we'll have to reset the paragon board every season which puts me of playing the game, i want to see progression and sorry to say your builds mean nothing IF players can't get up to those high levels to make builds work, a average player won't be a streamer he/she goes to work for at least 40 hours a week and overtime on top those hours not playing the game. When season 1 comes i expect a lot of players leaving the game.
Man, if they're willing to put an auto spec into the latest version of World of Warcraft to help people get something that's not terrible, they should absolutely do the same here. Doesn't have to be optimized or super fancy, but some sort of "recommended path" or pre-built setup would do wonders for a lot of folks that just want to keep smashing bad guys and move on.

You can make the Skills and Paragon menu fullscreen in game. I was on my third character when I realized that lol

You click them to unslot it says so on screen
For every class, it's highly important to choose a board with the hunter killer node as it massively increases your damage to elites
druids and necro doesnt have this one I believe

My boards for a Minion/Shadowblight build are Start/Darkness, Wither/Mage, Scent of Death/Control, and Cult Leader/Deathraiser.
As a new Diablo player this video was still incredibly overwhelming and I still don’t really understand what is going on with this system

New to the Diablo series, have a glyph that uses the term “paragon node” what exactly is a paragon node?
The boards are full of Paragon Nodes. If the Glyph affects nearby nodes, it means the ones in the highlighted red area around it.

The stats you need to trigger bonus effects on rare nodes. But also probably gold wise when resetting but the first thing I said is most important.
