Thanks for this video! I spent hours trying to set up a ESP32 cam in Home assistant. Not one tutorial post I found said anything at all about having to load a .bin file onto the ESP32. I was able to get mine up and running easily using your video!
Glad I could help.🙂
@omeCircleWhich 160 degree lens did you buy? Ali has 650 nm and 850 nm choices. looks like 650 nm is the one you have?
@@EL34XYZ I dont remember what focal length it is. But only know it is 160 degrees wide .
🎉 awesome job Bro

Hey, thanks for your tutorial. Unfortunately, I get an error message when adding it to the ESPHome integration in Homeassistant. It says: "No connection to ESP possible. Make sure that your YAML file contains an "api:" line.". Of course I have this line like you explained in your video. Do you have any idea what I can do?
can you check if the "api:" section is with the proper indentation?
Try copying the config from my article which is linked in the description.
If you have multiple cameras do you have to go through all the steps or can you use the downloaded files again and again for each new camera?
You can use the same binary. I dont see it any issue.
my cam isnt turning on, having this issues, [E][esp32_camera:024]: esp_camera_init failed: ESP_ERR_NOT_FOUND
[E][component:113]: Component esp32_camera was marked as failed.
any idea?
Where do you get this log output? Frigate or ESPHome logs?
