Too me, this song means overcoming addiction and depression. And lately I have been on a really good path. And every time I listen to this song when I'm depressed/suicidal, or trying to overcome the urges. It really assures me how well I've been doing, and how I can't let it get too me. How I need to stay above the rushing water. Laura you have no idea how much this song has helped me through the passes couples of months that I've really feel deep. I would replay this as many times as I needed to, to get me through the day, and find hope in myself again. Truly thank you for a life-changing song.

Growing up and to this day I still strive to prove others wrong. I have Borderline Personality Disorder, everyone around me puts me down and tells me that I will never be successful because of my mental illness. I know that when I move back to my hometown and work towards getting my GED, I WILL make it, I will get my GED, I have you to thank, Laura Brehm. This song motivated me to do so much, to rise above all of the negatives in my life. I want to host a huge event here in Phoenix, Arizona about Mental Illness Awareness, and I want to share your song with hundreds of people and motivate others with your words. It would be awesome if you could come share your story at this event and inspire others with your lyrics. It will be a few months before I can host this event, because of fundraising and event planning, but if you can be a huge part of this event I'd love to hear back from you. If not, then I just want to ask you permission if it's okay that I play this song at the event.

But I do know it says something because I swear I hear "I wish I was stronger, the pressure" then I get lost after that. It would be cool if the composer dropped a hint because this is my favorite song from them.

hi Laura and Draper, how is life? I hope it is going so well. Btw, 1 year after I graduated from university I still can't get a full-time job yet. I dont know what's wrong with me, I keep trying and learning anything but nothing seems work. No one ever want to be my mentor, everyone is busy with to sum up their own wealth in a crisis time like this. Even all of my friends never help to push me forward. I got a lot of "pressure" (like your song title) here and there especially from my family bcz I am 23. I know, too old for someone who still dont have any proper job. Sounds like anxiety and depressed right? But I am sorry, I didn't mean to beg for a pity. Typing here while listening to your music gives me a lot of relief. Thanks to your song, I know that I just have to stay above the rushing water and do my best to keep myself composed for now.
