I agree about the Dorland's Wax. It is a handy tool for when you really need to use something like it, though the waxy feeling is not my favorite. I used some on a Christmas card I painted and I did feel like it slightly altered the appearance. The red looked a tiny bit disturbed by the wax but the other colors remained true. Perhaps I just applied too much in certain areas. I think it's something you have to be kind of careful with but it can be very handy in situations where you can't put your art behind glass.
Very cool haul Joly, I was thinking of getting those color cubes and liquid watercolors as well, they seem soo handy to have on hand when doing any kind of painting . I definitely have been stuck a time or two coming up with color combinations and it can be so frustrating , really love that palette though and will absolutely check out that seller. Use varnish, no other spray. You can even use the vanish you can apply by hand with a paint brush.
