This song takes me back when I was very young watching The Lost Boys. Super nostalgic.
Yeah that film is one of my favourite films as a teenager! The music was awesome like the Karate Kid aswell!
I do NOT understand how they could take one of the spookiest songs ever and make this version that somehow sounds hopeful, while retaining it's original darkness and spookiness. I was literally moved to tears when I heard it in the movie. BRAVO!
At the end I hope there is a sequel!

Heard all the versions, the metal versions were great, but this one is on like a spiritual level. This gives an entirely different vibe than all the rest. Lovely work on this cover!!

I’ve heard many covers of Cry Little Sister but none of them hold a candle to this one. This feels rather understated which I think is part of its magic. Thank you for this breathtakingly haunting and beautiful version.

Scala and Kolacny Brothers (famous for creepy trailer music) just released a cover last month and I've gotta say, it doesn't beat this one, but it's close! They're the girls' choir who covered "Creep" for The Social Network trailer, "Engel" for The Possession trailer, and others. Definitely worth checking it out!
This was a huge, bold move covering such a distinct song with such a huge cult following. And woah. It is amazingly done. Can’t wait to see where this ends up in the show.

Especially brave as it wasn't just "any" movie but one that explicitly references a) the original song, b) The Lost Boys, c) an audience likely familiar with both. While the original is still incredible and an icon of cinema (horror or otherwise), I really loved this cover version too. For some reason, it gives me real Stranger Things vibes too (even though it could never be in that show due to the timeline).
There’s been many covers already. One by Marilyn Manson. It’s not that bold. Though this is my favorite cover.
@@Kevmaster2000 1 this cover sucks and is no where near as good as the original. 2 Marilyn Mansons cover was Terrible and He sounded like he was Drunk or High when he sang it and he Forgot How to Sing or something. 3 the Only Cover I've seen of this song that's Actually Good is the one Corey Feldman did on his Live Tour. I've seen Many Videos of Corey singing this on Different Live Shows and he Nailed it Every Time and sounded Exactly like the original Singer.

I didn't even know this was a cover but looked up the original and Marilyn Manson ones now. This is the best as the choir backing is more subtle here and it's just even more haunting.

It shocked me! Especially being raised on The Lost Boys OST (I'm 44). This is by far the best cover I've heard. I'm not a fan of female singers but this woman's voice is 😍😍
Her voice is similar to the young sinead o connor but even clearer. How Not To Drown is my current favourite.
Lauren's voice is so very lovely here, as always. I'll never fail to be jealous of her haha. I love the haunting feel of the track. Very nice.

Wow.. what a perfect song for Loren. It's such a staple for the beginnings of electronic music and it's incredible they dug it back up. For me the original is one of those songs that I forget about then remember get hooked for a day or two and then forget it again but this.. I'll be addicted for more than a day
It's a very waspish thing to say, but I actually think I prefer this version to the original, and I love the original! There's just something more sinister and epic here, and that's hard to do when the original used a violent organ, dripping with gothic menace. Somehow chvrches does it again. I'd love to see them tackle other songs from the Lost Boys, especially Lost in the Shadows. That deserves a good cover, finally.

I had "The Lost Boys" soundtrack album as a kid and this track was always one of my fav's. A love it and didn't think I would ever hear anyone play it again. Trust "Chvches" to dig it out and bring it back to modern ears. Absolute classic ---- love you guys...
I loved the original, and the film it was used for. I am very surprised too hear how good it sounds slowed and stripped down sound wise. Credit where credit is due this is good.

This song woke something up inside me that I never knew was even in there. Through the pandemic, back to a place where I had so many dreams and fantasies of what I would be in the future, back to a time where I had a wild imagination and thirsty for life. The original was so beautiful but this version is just as beautiful! When I heard it I started crying because I miss that part of me, so innocent and blind to the torment and abuse that layed ahead of me, the movie "lost boys" and the 2 additions to the first one where really cool. I have all 3 sitting on my DVD rack lol! I'm a huge vampire movie freak, there is not one that I have seen that I don't own, t.v. shows included as well!
When I was younger I always loved watching or reading about vampires, werewolves and zombies i remember a film cant remember the name when a young vampire boy was knocking on the window of human boy's window after that I wore a cape (black bin liner) and use to jump of the garden wall thinking I was a vampire!😂

so amazing to hear a cover of this done so well, got chills when i heard it in the original Lost Boys movie, and again in Nightbooks. kinda had to laugh at what one of the scenes is that Cry Little Sister is played during. But it is the theme song, played like at least three times throughout the movie. Beautifully covered, love the vocals, such a strong and gorgeous voice

First of all the song is stunning and leaves a calm feeling that I haven’t felt for a long time. I understand that there is different taste in music but for me that 93 unlike are not what this song deserve. Everyone with a good music ear know when to appreciate a song and this is one of them.
