  • Mark Driscoll John Lindell Stronger Mens Conference Drama. Mark Driscoll Kicked off Stage at Stronger Mens Conference 2024 by Pastor John Lindell. A large Men’s Conference brought in a pole dancing male stripper as entertainment. And one of the conference speakers Pastor Mark Driscoll rebuked the leadership of the church for allowing this in the middle of the event. And Mark Driscoll was kicked off stage at end event in the middle of his sermon. A verbal fight breaks out between Mark Driscoll and the Lead Pastor for the event. The footage went live on Twitter and it got over 10 million views of Mark Driscoll kicked out of church. This all happened at the Stronger Men’s Conference in Springfield, MO. Led by Mega Church Pastor John Lindell. This event was held at Great Southern Bank Arena with thousands in attendance. The male stripper named Alex Magala who open the event described as “the finest swordsman in all the world,” Mark Driscoll stronger mens event is now all over internet. Church Pastor John Lindell that got up on stage to say Mark Driscoll should have done this privately as the Bible states in Matthew 18. I will show Mark Driscoll stronger mens 2024 full video. John the Baptist, Paul and Jesus all called out religious leaders publicly and offered rebukes. These were often very harsh in doing so. This Pastor John Lindell should be removed from ministry for a season at a minimum. Mark Driscoll kicked off stage at mens conference was the wrong move on several levels. Mark Driscoll rebuke was strong but not overly harsh. He says that a spirit of Jezebel is in operation. Mark was right for taking a stand and speak up. ‪@MarkDriscollMinistries‬

The elephant in the room is running church services and Christian conferences like a circus. Everything went off the rails right out of the gate because of that. A Christian men's conference should build and encourage through worship, prayer, repentance and solid Bible study. How does entertainment like a sword swallowing act, tanks running over cars, pyrotechnics and an 80s heavy metal rock bands build stronger men in Christ? And whenever I hear church leaders say "don't touch God's anointed" (meaning don't question me or my actions) I see charismatic witchcraft like Derek Prince warned us about.

Folks like Driscoll and Lindell have, as a thesis, declared that society is attempting to emasculate men, so the remedy is to have as much farting, burping, monster trucks, and Carhartt ™ as possible. This is to "grab" men and Mark has tolerated spectacles like this in the past. I speculate that Mark misses controlling multiple campuses and saw a chance to take over James River in an attempt to bring back the "glory days" of Mars Hill. That is why Mark sowed disunity between the Lindell brothers and their father

For Lindell to imply that he is God's anointed who shouldn't be rebuked is very egregious.
Lindell does the narcissitic thing (AFTER sitting on stage and saying we're brothers and we're good now) of reversing the victim and the offender--and so goes after Mark D as if Lindell didn't do anything wrong--it was Mark who was wrong. Calls Mark to repent for attacking him and his church.
To say that a believer should have nothing to do with (or give to) Mark D is the height of arrogance and narcissitic behavior. (I am not a fan of Mark D, but in this situation, he was right.) For a pastor not to know when Matt 18 applies is very sad.

I am so grateful that the ‘touch not the Lords anointed’, doctrine is so thoroughly seen and known to be as toxic as it is. It allowed abusive controlling individuals to control the narrative and continue egregious behaviour unchallenged.
My personal view is that when a leader says that, then that is a leader whom is not a man whom I will follow. It is a red flag of the highest degree.
I noted sadly that the pastor was concerned about his entertainment choice, his family, his church and his own honour. What about the Lord Jesus, His children, His family, His church.
What about treating the serious as frivolous, bringing in the world to the church, entertaining instead of challenging lives to holiness.
I heard gaslighting unfortunately and him, diverting the truth into a blind alley, and then bricking it in.
I have strongly objected to pastor Mark Driscoll ‘s attitude, antics, and sermons in the past. This was incredibly appropriate.

I lost a BFF over this very type of situation. ROBY REID who can be found on Facebook calls himself an apostle. And he's done missionary work. But he was claiming that the rapture was going to happen in August 2020. My friend of 40 years told me not to say anything to him, and not to speak against him and not to say anything to him. but that's not how to handle things. Especially somebody who was just some guy on Facebook. Some guy who calls himself an apostle. There are no more apostles. There were only 12 of those.
So I simply asked a little question to him and she got all upset and said she could no longer trust me. I went to him about her feelings towards him. She (a married woman) was actually very protective of this man who was just some guy on Facebook that she did not know personally. Neither one of them sided with me. THEY BOTH blocked me on FB......LOL
. I would still do the same thing again. But apparently the jezebel spirit is what she had. And now I know that. And now I am no longer going to feel like I want to be friends with her. I am able to let her go completely. Now I understand that I was correct with the red flags I felt in my spirit regarding her.
So many people in the Christian community are falling into this progressive Christianity well, .....crap. It's very sad.
And what this pastor has done to Mark is very very very wrong

    Greetings from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Hi Joshua, thanks again for speaking out and highlighting the unbiblical shenanigans in the charismatic community.
The unfettered trust in "leaders" who display charismatic personalities is a major problem within charismatic communities of which I was part of for 30years.
The major elephant in the room is why is Mark Driscoll still in public ministry?
He was already disqualified by his previous actions at Mars Hill church. And only after a very short hiatus he opens another church in Arizona and once again the charismatic/pentecostal community just embrace someone who seems to produce fruit.
What fruit? Well only the fruit that matters most and that's numbers. What the charismatic community value more than anything else is numbers. If a leader is popular, entertaining, can articulate well, has a particular style and most importantly brings in the numbers then that person is in regardless of what fruits are represented in his life what issues he's had in the past or whether or not he is qualified as a minister. My first thought is that Mark is once again making himself a talking point of relevance to make himself more known. When he was part of Mars Hill he had a very loyal following and he again wants that cultic following and what better way than to cause a ruckus at a major conference and become a taking point for those who are concerned about a male pole dancer. Another one of Marks ways of making himself a talking point for more cultic followers. And where in the Bible does it tell us about a "Jezebel spirit?" Do the apostle teach us this?
The most glaring issue for me is why pastor John Lindell has been using a disqualified pastor for the past seven years at his men's conferences?
Did he not know the history of Mark Driscoll? Why didn't the current administration at Mark Driscoll's church in Arizona not heed the warnings from former eldership at Mars Hill church that he was unfit to pastor a church? Why did Pastor John not do his research?
Secondly, why is the pole dancing, sword swallowing, former alphabet dancer the ONLY issue talked about in relation to this "men's conference"?
Is the giant motor bike then the paragon of biblical theology?
The question that really needs to be asked is why does a men's conference need to have throat grunting macho themed symbols to enthuse the men to be more masculine? Or more biblical?
    IS SCRIPTURE ENOUGH?
How about placarding Christ and all He has accomplished for us in His life, His death and His resurrection?
Who is the object of our faith?
Who is the One we must keep our eyes on?
Who is the author and perfecter of our faith?
It's when charismatic and other evangelical leaders abandon the truth of scripture and try to motivate outside of the scripture that produces this amount of apostasy.
Why do Christian men need pyrotechnics and tanks or motorcycles to motivate them to be Biblical men?
    Where is the gospel?
Where are the imperatives of scriptures that tell men to be biblical men?
Where are the biblical preachers that call men back to Christ Jesus and the truth that the scriptures teach?
If we all aren't asking these questions and just focusing on the male stripper we are completely lost in our delusion.
The simple conclusion to all of this is stop playing games and Preach the gospel, make disciples, teach all Jesus has commanded.

We all learned from our mistakes. Mistakes makes us see which works better or not. Do not judge servants of God, only God knows if they are sitting or standing. Prophet Nathan rebuked David, God's anointed, Paul rebuked Peter. David repented and Peter realized his mistakes. What matters is that correction was made to cleanse the Body of Christ. The ministry of Jesus is correction. Scriptures is useful for doctrine, for correction, etc. "Iron sharpens iron"

Are you familiar with why Mark Driscoll was removed from ministry. If not listen to the podcast called the rise and fall of mars hill and then maybe you'll reconsider your opinion.
One is either qualified or unqualified for eldership and Mark disqualified himself. Rather than seeking God and humbly repentance and submitting to an eldership he decided to move state and start another church.
Instead of vetting him like they should have and taking advice from former members and eldership, sections of the charismatic community have been duped into believing him because he's good at bringing in numbers with his twisting of the scriptures and mesmerising rhetoric.
Emotionalism nor sensationalism is no substitute for gospel proclamation because we are told in scripture it is the power of God until salvation.

John helped Mark get started in Arizona and he's preached at JRC for years and men's conference! John loves the numbers you were talking about every Sunday and Wednesday we hear about the numbers on salvation(at least 576 at this conference), numbers on healings, numbers on testimonies, etc. John Lindell, Mark Driscoll, Bill Johnson (he spoke at "Week Of Power" week before the conference)! There's no difference they're all the same! I could mention a lot more but you get what I'm saying! I'm heartbroken that all this happened but at the same time I'm considering myself blessed because I'm now one of many who have left JRC in past years! This was it for me this past weekend! I love and close to a lot of people there but, NO your not allowed to question anything just accept it or your out! I have a lot of questions now especially after the prayer meeting last Wed night! That was unbelievable!😢 praying for guidance on new church!

Agree 100%. "Stronger Men" speak the truth in love, and confront when necessary (as gracefully as possible). Paul publicly rebuked Peter for hypocrisy. No apologies for "hurt feelings." No fear of "touching God's anointed." Though likely not yet written, I'm sure he was aware of the Matt. 18 principle. But he didn't say, "Uh, Peter . . . can I have a private word with you?"
I welcome godly reproof--whether from Him directly, or through others. "Let the righteous strike me. It shall be a kindness. And let him rebuke me; it shall be as excellent oil; let not my head refuse it (Ps. 141:5). David was so eager to align himself with Father's correction that he even permitted Shimei to revile him and throw dirt clods at him. (Shemei had his day later, but that's a whole other story.)
This entire several-day drama is a total mess. It is a sad reminder of how seriously we need our Father's correction in the Western church. "Reproofs of instruction are the way of life (Prov. 6:23b)." The serious issue that prompted MD's rebuke was never addressed, as far as I can tell. Lord, have mercy on us.

Mark says "This is not a rebuke or correction for anyone but rather an observation." In addition, well said about Alex. It wasnt about him at all. Just another deflection of Lindell to get spotlight off of his behavior. They talked on stage afterwards. Lindell should have also apologized and left it at that. It would be forgotten already but he is on a mission to justify his actions by trying to make Mark look bad which isn't working. It's only making him(John) look worse.
    Agree with Michael Brown 100%.

Mark shared that he was rebuking no one, but simply making an observation regarding what was released spiritually in that opening act. Now this has turned into who is right and who is wrong and we have lost sight of the original point…what was demonically released through this act. You can’t tell me that there were no men in that whole auditorium who did not struggle with lust or homosexual ideations who were not negatively impacted by this. I do agree with Joshua and Michael Brown, however we cannot lose sight of what the enemy is doing here…it needs to be the church against the enemy! However when leaders in the church are used by the enemy to twist Scripture into a way to deflect responsibility this is easier said than done. We must know the Word of God and Spirit of God intimately, and not be swayed by who ever has the platform at the time. (platform does not equate to anointing) We must not be sheep led astray.

I agree with you, it was John Lindell who should have received what Mark Driscoll said! His ego did not permit him to do that. I believe Mark was seeing in the spiritual realm and he was shown what was actually happening! It is hard to believe the men attending the conference were so gullible, although I was glad to hear the few who supported Mark Driscoll and protested at him being thrown out! It just goes to show where the men in the Body are, it's scary to think what kind of men are leading their families! They appear to be without discernment! I think Mark handled it well he was humble and co-operative. John Lindell is in the wrong and it even came across how angry he was though pretending to be desiring reconciliation! Shameful! God is cleaning out the Church!

This man is in his flesh, the Spirit is not welcome at his "church". The Lord's altar has been defiled. The enemy has an open door where there is no repentance and renounced!
As for M.D., he should have continued in the fear of the Lord and not man.
Pride comes before a fall. I pray for the body of Christ and all Pastors. Ministers are responsible for the souls of the Lord's children. These are the Lord's children not the under-sheperds! Wake up church, your choice define where you walk: Narrow gate or the broad road. Scary times for all, in regards to the parable of the 10 Virgins. Days of Noah.

He's so busy rebuking people and scaring them about "chattering" about him and how they'll go down the tube but where is his repentance? I discern pride and self-importance. I listened to part of his sermon rebuking Driscoll but all I could hear was him trying to blame shift and justify his actions. I had to turn it off. For the record, I dont follow Driscoll or Lindell. Never heard of them until this incident so this is my unbiased opinion. Btw no one cares what Jimmy Evans has to say. Why is he even in this? So Lindell can throw "spiritual weight" behind his self justification?

Josh, I really appreciate the humble, sound and non-sensational analysis of this sad situation. I agree with you that the sit-down on stage seemed like false peace. I heard Mark apologize but I did not hear any apology from Pastor Lindell. If the Pastor truly feels that he didn’t want to apologize for hiring the pre-conference act maybe he could have at least apologized to the audience for presenting content that not all of the rest of the conference speakers were on board with. (And yes, Mark probably should have voiced his concern in some way prior to taking the stage.) That said, I am unsettled because there still seems to be something wrong still going on underneath all this… My heart is also burdened for the performer. If it is true that he is now walking with the Lord and did not, from his frame of reference, intend for the performance to be scandalous, then it seems like he was put in an unenviable position. I pray that the performer’s heart and Christian faith does not become damaged as a result of all this. (I personally did not care for the performance but I agree with what you said about he was doing what he had been hired to do.) I too never thought that I would be defending Mark Driscoll on anything, but he said, on bended knee “this is not a rebuke of anyone, this is just an observation…” when Pastor Lindell objected, Mark stopped immediately and left the stage. When they both came back for the sit-down, I heard Mark apologize but I did not hear Pastor Lindell apologize for anything. I appreciate if the intention was to model friendship and unity. The sit-down could have been an opportunity to have a vulnerable and transparent conversation about how 2 Christian brothers came to perceive (the performance) in very different ways, giving the benefit of the doubt to both having good intentions. Instead - and again, I can’t believe I’m saying this - it almost felt like Pastor Lindell, who still seemed very angry, was bullying Mark in the name of unity and/or friendship, resulting in a false peace. I didn’t like the vibe of “Mark, I was there for you when you were down and now you owe me the loyalty of not disagreeing with me/embarrassing me at my conference”. I am familiar with the “touch not the Lord’s anointed” line of thinking, but again, I did not hear Mark criticizing Pastor Lindell. I only hear him making an observation about the content of the program, and not just out of left field, Mark’s comments were framed around the actual topic, at least from his perspective, that he was invited to speak on. Finally, I am most confused about why Pastoral Lindell is doubling down on the Matthew 18 line of argument post-conference? Has Mark since said things contrary to his on-stage apology? (He may have, I honestly don’t know). With all that I have commented on here I also readily admit that 1. I wasn’t there 2. I may be wrong and/or only responding to part of the story. Plus, certainly any abusive behavior directed towards the Pastor, Church, receptionist, etc. is clearly wrong and disgusting! That is, abusive speech and threats are wrong and disgusting. However, making an honest attempt to discern what is happening here, when done in the right way and in the right spirit is not automatically poisonous chatter against the Lord’s anointed. This is what I am appreciating about your channel (I am a new subscriber). It doesn’t seem to me that you are trying to play “gotcha” or to vilify anyone, but instead seeking to create a space where difficult and complicated things can be discussed with humility and in light of God’s Word and guided by the Holy Spirit. I hope you keep up the good work!

He will answer to God, he's the one who needs to repent. People calling in death threats isn't Christian either. Don't they understand the world is watching? Horrible witness. Any man at that conference that saw that was wrong should've walked out with a pole dancer on the platform. The pastors need to start preaching sin and staying away from all appearances of evil. Stop protecting yourselves pastors. How much longer is God going to tolerate this? Maybe this is another IHOPKC where God says that's enough!

It would seem from where I sit that Mark is following Biblical advice, he has confronted Lindell, who has done nothing but defend his choice of entertainers at this event. It has now been brought before the church (which is not Lindells assembly) and it would seem the Church feels that Lindel is indeed at fault. He seems unwilling to accept the judgment of the Church and instead is setting his assembly up as 'the Church'. Whether there was anything Christian about this event, I don't now, but I do know that anyone who is deeply into martial arts is wide open to demonic 'help'. It is said the sword swallower confesses Christianity, maybe so but there is some disturbing reference online as to how he makes his money. That may all be old news, but I have not heard how the sword guy makes his money?? The final point, it seems to me Mark had something against a brother, and the brother did not hear him and now seems unwilling to here from the Church, not just his group. This may seem a little radical but one way to decide this dispute would be to have both men come before an assembly where the Holy Spirit is present and let Him (the Holy Spirit) settle this matter. Perhaps then fear would be restored to the Church?
