Interesting lines of thought from both Tim and Scott. I have bought 'expired' Alkaline water discounted and measured the ph at home and it was 8.4 (about right). By the date on the bottle it was at least 1 month old. I have also seen Alkame Water is oxygenated and ph and stable for 2 years in the bottle by a special process.

Great video - wish some people would use thier common sense. It doesn' take a genious to figure out that too much of anything isn't good for you. Humans and animals have been on this planet for millions of years without a kagen water system, and they survived just fine - don't know how magically "alkaline water is the solution for everything". Our bodies are designed to maintain balance - if you eat acidic food, it will produce less acidity - if you eat too much alkalinity, it will produce more acidity. Alkaline water is a HUGE gimmick.

I just stopped off as I saw your video. Thought what the heck. One of the first statements you make is that the alkalinity of these types of waters don't last once they are bottled. Then you say at the end of the first segment that you have to watch how much you drink. If the alkalinity in the water doesn't last, why would it matter how much you drink? On the first blurb you put across the screen you say that you don't think that Urine or Blood is a good test method, I was just wondering what method you recommend to test these levels? On Hypochloridia, it is nothing more than low stomach acid. Not that it can't be an issue. It means that your body isn't absorbing nutrician properly. Not just protein. You can also get it from popping to many anti-acids and other things. It can be easily reversed. At the same time though, young children and older adults get it frequently. The white blood cells in your body are what fight off the things that enter your body. The acids in your stomach help break down the food. If that were the case, we wouldn't see stomach flu, or any other type of stomach ailment. There has never been a mention in medicine that a stomach ailment is caused by low acidity in the stomach. Alkolosis is almost always causes by excessive inhaling/exhaling. Not by a change in diet. But again, you start by saying bottled alkaline water doesn't hold it's alkalinity, then you go on to talk about if people should use it or not. Now, personally I don't use it, never have and probably won't. But I thought I would just throw my .02 worth in.
