just turned 13 and beating college sprinters unreal, she also beat the best HS sprinters in the country at the Nike invitational, she was the only Junior High age runner invited. The kid was training on a dirt track in rural Western Kansas.
Hmm, came back to correct an error in my last comment but it's been deleted. Never said anything bad, so I'm puzzled. Anyway, this event happened in April 2022. For some reason it doesn't show up as a result on World Athletics.
Congrats Aria! As a track announcer in CA, I have to say that anyone who doesn't do the research to know Aria is a 7th grader doesn't deserve the mic. This guy is lifeless and ill-informed.
@@MrBeevee5 - I believe she is 14 and in the eighth grade now, which is age appropriate, 13 and seventh grade back during the spring and summer track season. Video in the video was from eight months ago. ruclips.net/video/ZxRgQgz3Q14/видео.html
@@MrBeevee5 - I believe her birthday is in October, so she will be 14 when she starts high school and 18 when she graduates. Probably one of the older students in her class, but certainly appropriate for her grade.
Everybody will be pulling you from different directions and telling you where you should go. Go where you will feel the most at home that also has great coaching. You do not need me to tell you this but, train hard and always look for ways to improve and always remember that there is someone out there who is working just as hard, if not harder, that wants to be able to say they are the best and make you and everyone else look bad. Do not let magazine interviews, etc. interfere with your focus.
Yep, it makes it so much worse that they are supposedly grown young women at 20,21, 22 and she is a child. I guess it goes to show how pathetically immature most college "kids" are these days.
I've ran track (a loooong time ago) and watched alot of track meets. This is probably the first time I've ever seen a 100m ran in that direction. Weird. Anyway, good race. Hard to believe she's only a 7th grader. Hopefully she has a bright future (scholarship practically guaranteed if she keeps this up).
Some people are fully developed at 13!! I had a cousin like that he was huge for a 7th grader!! But unfortunately didn't grow any after 7th grade!! She seems to be about 95% fully there.
This is an unreal accomplishment. This fact also seems to have been lost on the announcer. Side note: Not sure what the point of wanting to be behind a microphone is when you show so little enthusiasm or insight for the event you're covering. Yes, . . . . we all know what a false start DQ is.
Imagine being in college and being the same size as a middle school student, and then losing lol it would make you rethink your whole athletic college scholarship 😮👀
To leave it up to the starter to disqualify a runner for a false start and at least not give them at least one false start is draconian to say the least, they are certainly not doing it on purpose.
good job aria. but how does a 7th grader even qualify for college level sports competition? doesn't the NCAA have rules saying only college students can compete?
NCAA has always allowed unattached athletes to compete. They usually have to get an invitation, though. I was invited to all the college meets I entered.
@@ariapearce08 .... thanks for your reply. that's interesting. i didn't know it worked that way. so, to be invited to these meets you must have a national reputation. i guess you blew away all your 7th grade competition uh? keep it up. and good luck to you, my friend.
Only 13 y.o, her physical appearance doesn't look convincing, either. (7th grader) But when she ran, damn.... freaking FAST👍👍👍 2022 an AMAZING year for track & field, if not the BEST.
This is a concern of mine because I peaked in my athletic performance at 14. It can happen. Up until then I was winning meets, never at Pearce’s level obviously but still National, and then slowly other teen girls started overtaking me, some of whom are now elite athletes in adulthood. Despite my best efforts, lots of training and comps, I just plateaued. I was a sprinter too. One of my coaches said they’d seen a lot of teenagers burn out in their time. Sometimes it can actually be a risk to be the freak at a super young age. Obviously I hope this is not the case for this girl. I would love to see her be the next Usain Bolt!
"Whatever it takes" from what I understand Aria is too young to be in the school she will be running for. She is running as an independent, that is the name she is using.

@@kirby456 just because she is good right now doesn’t mean she will be good as an adult, most of the quickest adults didn’t peak until their professional careers and weren’t as good as a teenager
Worst announcer ever. The fact he did not mention the winner is in the 7th grade and is a likely future Olympian and exalt how spectacular the win is is pathetic.

Is it so hard to stay focused on the runners as they run down the track? Cameraman lost sight of them completely to show the finish line before they even got there! Terrible filming!!
It is really sad to have to ask, but in this day and time one has to ask the question. Is she a girl or boy pretending to be a girl just to unfairly dominate her event? If she is a real girl I will be a huge fan and hope she goes on to perform at the highest level at the best of her talent and training. If not then, meh!
The announcer's enthusiasm is simply overwhelming.
He definitely hit Level 11 there…
