'General Hospital' pays tribute to the late John Ingle and his role as Edward Quartermaine.
On thanksgiving, the Quartermaine family gather to pay tribute to the legendary Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle). But like most thanksgiving's at the Quartermaine Mansion, chaos occurs.

Lila ( Anna Lee) was paralyzed from waist down in a car accident only one year after taking the role on GH, and acted in a wheelchair for more than 20 years until she left Soap last ! Rip. Beautiful Lila you are so missed and loved by many!! Gone but never ever forgotten May 14 2004 was and still to this very day the saddest!! God bless 🌷💞🙏

This was RC's era and everything after this and even before was a bit of a disaster.
Some of the great writers of GH have passed away.
That was so beautiful the way they had edward and lila walk up the staircase together holding hands..
Such a beautiful way to say a final goodbye to two beloved characters.
Such a wonderful tribute to Edward and Lila & beautiful way to end their story. :)
Did they have a replacement? I thought I remembered a different Edward?
@@MsJanetLouise Jed Allen who was also on Santa Barbara was Edward for a little while . John Ingle returned and played Edward until his death
@@MsJanetLouise Long before John Ingle, David Lewis was the original Edward Quartermaine. All 3 actors, who had played Edward Quartermaine had died.

Was very moving...when Monica tells Tracy he's gone...and that he said one final word, clear as a bell. "Lila." And what a treasure...to have "Lila" rise from her wheelchair (that Anna Lee had been confined to since 1981) and hand in hand with Edward they climb the stairs. Well done GH. The most fitting sendoff for the most delightful, sincere love story the show's ever had.
The ending still gets me choked up all these years later...such a beautiful tribute to 2 wonderful actors!!
And everyone thought that my girl Tracy was heartless 😢

He was a great Edward. Fun fact, in "real life", he & Alan were actually the same age. Great to see Ned & Jr back at it.

How did Tracy NOT win an Emmy for this? What happened to the days that talent outweighed popularity? Tracy was ROBBED!!!

John Engel was the third edward and the best. David Lewis was great as well. But passed away. General Hospital has always been the best at telling stories after a actor passed away. This one is a tear jerker.

OMG the ending was incredible. What a tribute not only to those two great actors but to those beloved characters. Stunningly beautiful. My heart hurts.
6 years later and I still cry like a baby when I watch this. John you will always be Edward to me. RIP!!!

This man was okay as Edward Quartermaine but nobody will replace David Lewis any true General Hospital fan knows the true Edward David Lewis sad he became ill and passed finally in 2000

David Lewis was fantastic, but John Ingle certainly made this role his own. I grew to love him as Edward
7 years later Michael knows how to stop the family's from yelling at each other and hope he still does for now on. I sure miss Edward and lila.

Woman in the red dress... SKy... She played Sky Chandler on All My Children. Adam Chandlers eldest daughter.
AND Robin Christopher played Skye on One Life to Live, too. She's the only actor I'm aware of who played the same role, on contract, on multiple soaps. (It does help that the shows were on the same network.) Think of her, if you want, as the female counterpart of Richard Belzer(who played Det. Munch on Homicide: Life on the Street and Law & Order: SVU on contract, AND guested as Munch on 9 other shows).
@@carlgorney9840 her mother Rey Cummings played on all 3 shows as well. Also Anna Devane and her sister Alex Merrick were on all 3.
@@SincereRoyalty But was Dano on contract for all those shows, or did she just guested on them? (And ACTUALLY, Dano also appeared on GH's first spinoff Port Charles...making her the first to appear on all 4(at the time)ABC soaps.) As I noted, Robin was on contract as Skye for all three ABC soaps she appeared on. And just one more thing: it wasn't the first time she and Dano played mother and daughter on a soap. Does Another World ring a bell? Robin played Lorna while Linda was Felicia.
this was the beginning of the end of the golden years of the Quartermaines.... i watch these old clips and feel as tho i am visiting old friends....i sure remember this episode. Go back even further... lol
Love seeing the old AJ and Edward clips. Wow, 10 years later and this was one of the best episodes. And AJ and Skye reuniting.
Edward and Lila will always be remembered.
This was when things were good and almost decent wished the writers would write like this again

When tracy loses some one we get to see the decent side of her. Makes you feel bad for her even though shes so mean spirited.
Tracy took it the hardest because she was the one who droved them crazy!! Tracy was loss without her parents!! If it wasn't for Monica she would be in the streets that's for sure!!
I hope my marriage can be like Edward and Lyla.
I love this scene they need to bring back the old characters like sky and Lila I know she's grown up put her in the 2021
This is, hands down, not just one of the best families in soaps - but in all of television.

Tracy is self-centered and will do anything to maintain control of ELQ. Now, they should be able to retain it since Jason is alive. I can't wait to see what happens when they find out.
Tracy is the toughest Quartermaine because all 3 of them didn't win the battle of life, but Tracy is winning in th battle of Life for the Quartermaine's

Lila is the only one I have heard call anyone “my darling.” She would have grown up in the thirties and forties. Things were a little more formal then. Watch some of the old movies of the day and you will see the more florid language.

I didn’t watch GH on a regular basis, like I did in the 1980’s. But I would watch every once in a while. My screen is dark so it’s hard to see dark scenes. I said to myself “is that Heather Webber? Then I knew it was her as soon as she spoke. I don’t why I remember her voice. I haven’t see her in years and years and years. She’s gained a little weight, but she looks exactly the same.
She’s kinda like Stephano from Days…keeps coming back. Although I don’t know if Heather “died”, but came back. Every time I’ve seen her, she’s either in a padded cell or going back to one. If she keeps escaping so many times, you’d think they’d put her in a maximum padded cell 🤔🤔
That they had generic singers sing the song in 22. I love hearing Wally sing it (even if he's Eddie Mayne). I would also love to see all 3 Q brothers at one point (particularly, Sean, Steve, and Cameron) in some capacity.
OMG. I got chills when the back of Edward was there watching. Then I got more chills when Lila was also there and they were holding hands. They were still taking care of the family. WOW that was awesome ❤

I miss the family connections. There's too much emphasis on violence now. The Quartermaines, Spencer's, Hardys, etc made this show.
