GH 12-21-07 Georgie's Funeral (1/2)

- Maxie continues to give Felicia the cold shoulder as they prepare to leave for Georgie's funeral. At the church, Mac sadly tells Robin he failed his daughter by not capturing the serial killer before he struck so close to home. Robin reminds a tearful Mac how he was the only one who was always there for her, Maxie and Georgie throughout their lives. Later, Felicia and Mac steel themselves to accept condolences from friends and acquaintances as they file into the chapel and fill the pews. During the service, Maxie rises to eulogize her beloved sister and praises the people who graced Georgie's life (Mac, Robin, Dillon, Spinelli, Bobbie), then launches into a bitter diatribe against Felicia as the other mourners listen in stunned silence. After a sobbing Felicia flees from the church, Dillon follows and tries to reassure her that Georgie loved her mother dearly. Robin turns to Patrick for comfort in the wake of the disastrous funeral service.

Mac was such a bachelor, then took on selflessly, 3 girls that desperately needed him. He proved by example what a real father is. Very manly.
I love the relationship between Mac and his girls. True love.
Spinelli was absolutely crushed, the look on his face was just devastating!!! My heart went out to him.❤

Mac became a father to three young girls while their parents were to busy trying to save everyone else! Mac was their one true parent!
Looking at this the day that Mac dies, Feleicia, Frisco, Anna & Robert owe this man EVERYTHING.....he was the ROCK and foundation to these girls' lives
Mac & Felicia should have given Spinellie some more respect..........he LOVED her!
At this point Mac and Felicia really didn't know him yet. I think Georgie's death was her first encounter with him. He hadn't been on canvas barely a year. All Mac knew is that he was associated with Jason and Mac very true to character that was all he needed to know. Mac has always been very protective over his "girls."
Personally I hate this time period of the show because TPTB thought it was a good idea to get rid of core characters (Alan and Tony)and the future of GH(Georgie) Also letting Scott Clifton go as Dillan. I think his talent is wasted at B&B. On GH he fit in very will with the cast.
Mac is the GOAT as a father to those girls with 2 of the 3 girls not his biologically but no one would have ever known it. He loved all those girls like they were his.
None of those girls were his but Robin was his niece
It was so sad when Georgie passed away. And Mac is definitely a bachelor. But took care of 3 girls without thinking about himself. A true father figure he is..❤️❤️

Good for Maxie. Felicia always put everyone ahead of those girls- it made her character insufferable.
Kristin Storms was robbed for the Emmy this year. She played the shit outta these scenes. Maxie read the fuck outta Felicia and she deserved every bit of it. The writers ruined the character of Felicia but that was partly due to Kristina Wagner leaving the show but again, the pain and resentment Maxie had for her Mother was totally warranted. Amazing writing too. GH hasn't been this good in years!
It's Kirsten Storms aka Maxie, and she definitely was robbed of that year emmy, and she was robbed of this year's emmy

Broke my heart when dillion tells felicia that its his fault him and georgie didnt last that he didnt know how much he really loved her and how he still loves her that its too late now ugh so sad

That wasn't the right place, but even after all these years Felicia deserved that. Imagine your mother abandoning you and then only showing up because your sister died.
Felicia did not deserve that.
You would have to imagine it because it didn't show up in any s/l. Felicia raised her children without Frisco. She did not abandon her children.

I agree with her but this was not the time or place for that.
I feel bad for Felicia, but I probably would have had the same reaction were I in Maxie's shoes, only I wouldn't have debased my sister's funeral service by reading my deadbeat mom for filth during my tribute to her.
The character Maxie also had to ruin Robin's "funeral" too.

Blame the writers for that and to be, honest Kristen Storms and Molly Burnett are way better than Jen Lilly as. Maxie Jones to be completely honest when I rewatch Jen’s scene I cringe 😬, I liked Jen better on Days Of Our Lives then General Hospital as Theresa D.

I agree with most of what is said here, much more fair to Felicia than I've seen elsewhere. But I just want to point out that Felicia was not a deadbeat mom. Frisco was the deadbeat.

That was harsh, but deserved. The writers ruined Felicia with the way she was always running around with Luke.
It was undeserved. Even when Felicia was running around with Luke she was still living in PC. Her supposed "abandonment" was leaving PC, and leaving her almost adult children in good hands with Mac the perfect father because she could no longer live with Mac. So the writers took KW's exit and used it to rewrite history.
I love that low key disapproval yet understanding look Robin gave Maxie at 16:33 when she started reading Felicia the riot act! Robin knows what that’s like from her parents never being around most of her life. Anna was presumed dead yes but after she found out, Anna came and went to play spy and Robert was gone more than Anna was. I’m not knocking Anna and Roberts presumed death or blaming them, I’m just stating how Robin understood where Maxie was coming from yet was really sad Maxie chose the funeral to do it, but still just let her go at Felicia because there was nothing she could do.
Felicia was just another character Guza ruined. Along with Robert, Holly, Noah, Rick Webber, AJ, Laura, and most definitely Luke. Thank God the writers today fixed most (not all) of these characters.
Agreed. Guza screwed up the entire show when he returned in 2002. He did not respect the vets or the show’s history at all. Felicia was even there when Maxie got her first job smh.

GH writers should be a better job when they want to get rid of an actor/actress. Sent the character away to study aboard, move away because of a new job, visit a friend/family, or something but don't always kill the character. At least this way, they can bring the character back for a visit.

I remember watching this cheering Maxi on; she had every right to say that to her mother. All those years of bottled up anger that she never got to express and now at her sisters funeral, she got the courage to say what she couldn’t have said before seeing Felicia they’re acting like mother of the year. I hated Felicia back then; I thought it was horrible how she left her children to go on all of those adventures with Luke, and then just used the excuse to take care of Mariah so she didn’t have to deal with her kids. She also mentioned she was helping Frisco? Who is more important than mothers children? Glad though that Maxi and Felicia have come along way and are close now. George’s death that was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen from the soap.
Agreed Maxie needed to get her feelings out to Felicia but it wasn't cool the way she went about it. As for Felicia I hated how TPTB trashed her character and made her yet another parent who abandoned her children. It was very out of character for her to do that. I'm glad now that her and Maxie on good terms again and you have to thank Frank Valentini for that when he was hired to helm GH. He may have some faults(and there are many) but he does value the vets and works them into the storyline whenever possible .Before he arrived they were all kicked to the curb in various ways and managed to bring them back one by one. I have to give him credit for that because the show was unrecognizable prior to that.

Maxie had a right to let out her feelings, Felicia deserved it.. But, timing was bad. Funeral wasn't the right way to place it.

Mariah was a very important character in the 20+ year history of Felicia and she damn well did need to go and take care of Mariah. There was never, ever, anybody more important to Felicia than her children and KW left so Felicia gets to take care of herself for a change. Their father is police commissioner, so was there some reason to think George would be killed?
@@wvfirecracker1976 Thank heavens someone remembers Felicia accurately. I hated that too, but she did not abandon almost grown girls who were in good hands, it isn't so just because Maxie said it.
I love THIS Mike. Ron Hale. I met him. He is so sweet and kind. GH should have brought him back for the Alzheimers storyline 😡 then again they screwed everything else up, why not that too.... I loved GH from 90s to early 2000s.

This Lulu looks like Laura, she was very believable she won a few Emmy’s playing this roll! I love Tracy she was always hilarious!
I have a theory. When this Lulu was taken by Starvos and Luke found her daughter frozen on ice, it wasn’t the real Lulu. It was a clone kept on ice. That’s why she didn’t have all her memories when the new Lulu came back. They required a “key” aka her husband to open them. Thus the real Lulu is locked away in some sort of prison waiting for her friends and family to one day rescue her :)
Jason and Sonny should of been there to support Robin. And pay respects toward Georgie even though they didn't know her well. At least Jax came later to apologize and support Robin.
Back in the day When theyd bring the whole cast together almost to mourn the loss of a beloved character..

Scenes like PC residents giving their condolences to Mac and Felicia before Maxie read her for filth is why I hated the Guza era. Everyone was so cold to each other when they all knew each other.

He hasn’t even seen Georgie since she was a baby and Gerogie probably had no idea who he was, only time he actually came back was when Maxie was pregnant, he couldn’t come home when his brother died, he couldn’t come home when Georgie died or he couldn’t come home when Maxie was on trial for a murder she didn’t even commit and he may as well have never have bothered at that point, he should’ve been destroyed while under deep cover lmfao!!! His duty came before his family
