      Hi. Once you arrive in Osaka, KANSAI THRU PASS is really useful since there are several private railway companies in Kansai area. For example, it is useful to take the Kintetsu line between Namba and Nara, the Hanshin or Hankyu line between Umeda and Kobe. See the link below for details.

I have a jr pass that says i can ride on Haruka train on the unreserved seat carts. Hi! Thank you for the comment. Yes. On the Hello Kitty Haruka, the car numbers 5 and 6 are unreserved cars. You can take Haruka with your ticket. However, it seems that these days some Haruka without Hello Kitty runs, so you might want to ask the station staff whether tha Haruka you are going to take is Hello Kitty Haruka. Thank you Shiba-san for this video! Very helpful as I will be going to Kyoto from Kansai Airport later this year.
    If we get a round trip ticket, will it just be for Kyoto back to Kansai airport?
    Or can I go from Osaka station to Kansai airport?

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
      @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan  Год назад +1

      Hi! In that case, it is possible to take a train from Osaka station. However, if you have a special ticket such as a discount ticket issued by a travel agent, that would be an unauthorized use.

    Can i buy Suica card and JR haruka ticket with same automatic machine?

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
      @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, you are not able to purchase Suika in Osaka since it is sold in Tokyo area. However, ICOCA is available in Osaka and you can buy it easily by using the same automatic ticket machines as ones to get JR HRUKA ticket. The sign that says "ICOCA購入・チャージ IC Card / Charge" is a landmark. ICOCA and Suica are almost the same. Please see the website below for details.
